  • Maintenance systems are demanded to manage malodor-information and deal effectively with the odor-related civil complaints by constructing the database for sources of malodor compounds in real time. In this paper, to carry out these tasks, a real-time monitering system for malodor based on ubiquitous sensor networks(USN) is presented. The constructed monitering system stores the malodor data collected periodically from industrial complex into the database and shows in real time the circumstances of the odor sources being emitted around the industrial complex by indicating on the map where it is taking place. Besides, by clicking an icon indicating the sensor node on the map, we can figure out what firms are located near the malodor source and possible material related with those firms. The proposed system is considered to enhance the efficiency of management of malodor-emitting firms based on the malodor-related information.

  • This paper introduces domestic and international trends and researches related with U-Greenhouse systems. USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Networks), along with the development of networks as well as science and technology, is a new computing paradigm which is the convergence of user-oriented physical activity space and virtual space of electronics and computing and also provides services according to change in surrounding environment at anytime and anywhere. The U-Greenhouse system is to apply USN to agricultural production, logistics and distribution management which are relatively insufficient to utilize IT technology. Thus, applying u-IT technology to agriculture can reinforces international competitiveness of the agricultural sector through the effects such as cost cutting as a rise in output, logistics and distribution management.

  • The key of USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology is low power wireless communication technology and proper resource allocation technology for efficient routing. The distinguished resource allocation method is needed for efficient routing in sensor network. To solve this problems, we propose an algorithm that can be adopted in USN with making up for weak points of PQ and WRR in this paper. The proposed algorithm produces the control discipline by the fuzzy theory to dynamically assign the weight of WRR scheduler with checking the Queue status of each class in sensor network. From simulation results, the proposed algorithm improves the packet loss rate of the EF class traffic to 6.5% by comparison with WRR scheduling method and that of the AF4 class traffic to 45% by comparison with PQ scheduling method.

  • Previous studies for routing In USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Networks) appear to be unreliable due to the dependence on non-spatial data and the lack of map overlay analysis. Multiple spatial parameters and radio propagation modeling techniques were integrated to derive RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) value between route nodes and produce a highly reliable path map. It was possible to identify area-wide patterns of USN route subject to many different Influences (e.g. the specific effects of radio blocking factors such as the visible area, road area, cell duplicated area, and building density), which cannot be acquired by traditional non-spatial modeling. The quantitative evidence concerning the USN route for individual cell as well as entire study area would be utilized as major tools to visualize paths in real-time and to select alternative path when failure or audition of route node occurs.

  • In IP-USN for replacing the sensor network based on Zigbee by IP-based it, routing and the address assignment technique for sensor node are important focuses. But, there is a weak point in existing hierarchical routings. It is that all paths must be searched because the end node isn't considered. And the end node based muting is not sufficient in the mobile sensor network environment because it supports the only simple-path-search. Hereupon, this thesis suggests ComHRP(Complement HRP) that have the only merits of existing methods. The address assignment technique and search method are also proposed. ComHRP simplifies the organization of sensor networks and reduces network complexity. Also, It can efficiently deal with restructuring networks for the unpredictable ubiquitous sensor network feature.

  • sensor node work limited energy. It is undesirable or impossible to replace the batteries that are depleted of energy because of characteristics of the sensor network. Due to the specific energy constrained environment, MAC design for sensor networks generally has to take energy consumption as one of its primary concerns. But in sensor networks, latency has been a key factor affecting the applicability of sensor networks to some delay-sensitive applications. Therefore, we propose MAC protocols based DSMAC in this paper. Which is able to dynamically change the sleeping and duty cycle of sensors is adjusted to adapt to packet amounts in buffer. Proposed MAC has energy efficiency and low latency, compared DSMAC.

  • The development of information society together with information telecommunication's influence on the human society is a ripple effect and getting wider. Among those ripple effects the disaster prevention is in the public eye in the present day. On the way to the ubiquitous society the main techniques to be concerned in ubiquitous sensor networks are the field of damage of storm and flood, safety facilities, traffic safety, industrial safety, energy safety, fire fighting, specific safety of radioactivity escape incident, environmental pollution, sea pollution, mountain and forrest disaster so on. In this paper the USN technique based on the disaster prevention communication technology service and its requirement technology and application are studied.

  • Lots of researches have been focusing on ubiquitous computing which means wherever, whenever, whatever the required information must be accessible. In ubiquitous computing environment, ubiquitous sensor network (USN) is the basis technology for gathering and transferring the required information. However sensor network characteristically has more severe vulnerability than the existing networks do. The paper presents operation of secure protocols for delivering information in secure in ubiquitous computing environment and show improvement of the secure transferring protocol.

  • The study that automates the variety of equipment using the USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Networks) has been executed, and the research field is ranged to almost all fields including a road, harbors. building, military affairs, agriculture and home. By deploying these sensors into the greenhouse environment, we can monitor the environmental change and the growth of plants 24 hours a day. However, the limited resources of a sensor node like limited energy, short transmission range etc, make it difficult to expand the size of the sensor networks. In this paper, we studied to expand the site of sensor networks by using WMN(Wireless Mesh Networks) with simulation. With this simulation, we could validate that using the Wireless Mesh Networks technology for expanding sensor networks is more efficient in the energy aspect than the normal sensor network.

  • In this paper, a low-power CMOS interface circuit is designed and demonstrated for capacitive sensor applications, which is implemented using a standard 0.35-${\mu}m$ CMOS logic technology. To achieve low-power performance, the low-voltage capacitance-to-pulse-width converter based on a self-reset operation at a supply voltage of 1.5 V is designed and incorporated into a new interface circuit. Moreover, the external pulse signal for the reset operation is made unnecessary by the employment of the self-reset operation. At a low supply voltage of 1.5 V, the new circuit requires a total power consumption of 0.47 mW with ultra-low power dissipation of 157 ${\mu}W$ of the interface-circuit core. These results demonstrate that the new interface circuit with self-reset operation successfully reduces power consumption. In addition, a prototype wireless sensor-module with the proposed circuit is successfully implemented for practical applications. Consequently, the new CMOS interface circuit can be used for the sensor applications in ubiquitous sensor networks, where low-power performance is essential.
