In this paper L-fuzzy ${\omega}$-closed and L-fuzzy ${\omega}$-open sets are introduced. Also a new class of L-fuzzy topological space called L-fuzzy ${\omega}$-basically disconnected space is introduced. Several characterizations and some interesting properties are also given.

In this paper, fuzzy ${\alpha}^*$-set, fuzzy C-set, fuzzy AB-set, fuzzy t-set, fuzzy B-set, etc., are introduced in the sense of Sostak [12] and Ramadan [9]. By using these sets, a decomposition of fuzzy continuity and complete fuzzy continuity are provided. Characterization of smooth fuzzy extremally disconnected spaces is also obtained in this connection.

Resonant parametric perturbation (RPP) method is an effective non-feedback method for controlling chaos. In this paper, the above method is applied for the current programmed buck-boost dc-dc converter which exhibits chaotic for wide parameter variations. The different possible operating regimes leading to chaotic operation of the current mode controlled buck-boost converter is discussed and the control of chaos by RPP method is demonstrated through computer simulations and experimental studies. The converter is stabilized to period 1 operation practically.

The purpose of this article is to present the potential of balangandãs as a documentary source for intersectional studies of gender and slavery, from the analysis of formal and symbolic aspects of the museum objects in the Museu Nacional Nacional (MHN) and Museu Carlos Costa Pinto (MCCP). Balangandãs are a type of creole jewelry, made in gold or silver and used in Brazil since the 18th century by black women - women who worked, especially in the commercialization of foodstuffs in large urban centers. They are described in printed sources and engravings, and preserved in some museum institutions. In the study, the meanings attributed to the object over the centuries are observed: jewelry, amulet, peculium, document, travel memory and heritage. As a result, the article seeks to highlight the objects as a historical and documentary source, verifying similarities between the pieces musealized at the MHN and at the MCCP, also emphasizing the documental power of the pieces produced today.

O presente trabalho pretende explorar a relação entre a língua nacional e a construção da idenidade nacional no Brasil, materializando os enunciados da "Casa-grande & Senzala" de Gilberto Freyre e os discursos cruzados entre Freyre e romancistas. Atualmente, o português brasileiro é uma manifestação mais extensa e mais profunda da alma multiforme da nacionalidade brasileira como a língua é um tópico essencial no processo de constituição da nacionalidade, ao lado da geografia, da história e da étnia. Junto com o português brasileiro, como o idioma oficial do Brasil, tradições, ideias nacionais se difundiam por todos os habitantes dessa comunidade imaginária. Ao invés dos temas clássicos(como a mestiçagem e a história da vida privada) de Gilberto Freyre, neste trabalho, discutimos as interpretações que Gilberto Freyre fez pelo prisma do luso-tropicalismo sobre a língua e a identidade nacional no Brasil, considerando o cruzamento da Casa-grande e da Senzala representadas na estrutura das obras dos romancistas brasileiros.

This article utilizes interdisciplinary methods in order to critically review the existing research on the Mother Goddess of Champa: Po Inâ Nâgar. In the past, Po Inâ Nâgar has too often been portrayed as simply a "local adaptation of Uma, the wife of Śiva, who was abandoned by the Cham adapted by the Vietnamese in conjunction with their conquest of Champa." This reading of the Po Ina Nagar narrative can be derived from even the best scholarly works on the subject of the goddess, as well as a grand majority of the works produced during the period of French colonial scholarship. In this article, I argue that the adaption of the literary studies strategies of "close reading", "surface reading as materiality", and the "hermeneutics of suspicion", applied to Cham manuscripts and epigraphic evidence-in addition to mixed anthropological and historical methods-demonstrates that Po Inâ Nâgar is, rather, a Champa (or 'Cham') mother goddess, who has become known by many names, even as the Cham continue to re-assert that she is an indigenous Cham goddess in the context of a majority culture of Thành Mẫu worship.

Video adaptation in response to dynamic resource conditions and user preferences is required as a key technology to enable universal multimedia access (UMA) through heterogeneous networks by a multitude of devices In a seamless way. Although many adaptation techniques exist, selections of appropriate adaptations among multiple choices that would satisfy given constraints are often ad hoc. To provide a systematic solution, we present a general conceptual framework to model video entity, adaptation, resource, utility, and relations among them. It allows for formulation of various adaptation problems as resource-constrained utility maximization. We apply the framework to a practical case of dynamic bit rate adaptation of MPEG-4 video streams by employing combination of frame dropping and DCT coefficient dropping. Furthermore, we present a descriptor, which has been accepted as a part of MPEG-21 Digital Item Adaptation (DIA), for supporting terminal and network quality of service (QoS) in an interoperable manner. Experiments are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the presented framework using the descriptor.

The MPEG-21 Multimedia Framework initiative aims to support a wide range of networks and devices in the delivery and consumption of multimedia resources. One of the primary goals of MPEG-21 is universal multimedia access (UMA) through Digital Item Adaptation (DIA), which supports multimedia streaming to heterogeneous devices ensurung the same readability and seamlessness. We pioneer power saving of luminal devices with MPEG-21 DIA, so that the MPEG-21 DIA can also be used to support power saving, even though the framework is not primarily designed for power reduction and only limited power awareness is defined by DIA. We introduce several power-saving techniques conforming to MPEG-21 DIA specifications and show the dependency relation among introduced techniques. We achieve energy savings of up to $66\%$ in hand-held multimedia devices with minor QoS (quality of service) degradation.
