하부 맨틀의 상부에서 관찰되는 섭입된 해양판의 겉보기 두꺼워짐은 과거 연구를 통해 슬랩 좌굴에 의한 것으로 제안되었다. 그러나, 맨틀의 상전이가 슬랩 좌굴에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 평가하고 이를 규모 법칙으로 검증한 연구는 거의 이루어지지 못하였다. 이 연구에서는 상전이를 고려한 2차원 컴퓨터 섭입 모델링을 수행하여 상전이가 슬랩 좌굴에 미치는 영향에 대해 정량적으로 평가하고 규모 법칙으로 검증하였다. 실험 결과는 410 km 깊이에서 발생하는 감람석-와드슬레이아이트 상전이가 슬랩 좌굴의 발달에 중요한 영향을 미친다는 것을 보였다. 흡열 상전이는 상부 맨틀에서 섭입 슬랩의 침강을 가속시켜 660 km 깊이에 존재하는 불연속면에 빠르게 도달하게 한다. 그러나 660 km 깊이에 존재하는 링우다이트-페로브스카이트+마그네시오우스타이트 상전이는 슬랩 좌굴의 발달에 상대적으로 작은 영향을 미치는데 그 상전이가 섭입 슬랩의 하부 맨틀 침강을 지연시켜 전이대에 섭입한 슬랩을 누적시키기 때문이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 슬랩 좌굴은 규모 법칙을 20% 이내의 오차에서 잘 만족한다. 이처럼 슬랩 좌굴은 맨틀에서 발생하는 보편적인 현상으로써 자바-순다 및 동북 일본 섭입대에서 관찰되는 하부 맨틀의 상부와 전이대에서의 슬랩 좌굴을 잘 설명한다. 또한 백악기 시기 경상 분지가 겪은 주기적인 압축 및 인장이 슬랩 좌굴에 의한 가능성을 암시한다.

We present a simple geometric approach which uses polar transformation and elementary trigonometry to evaluating an orthant probability in a bivariate normal distribution. Figures are provided to illustrate the situation for varying correlation coefficient. We derive the distribution of the sample correlation coefficient from a bivariate normal distribution when the sample size is 2 as an application.

Recently, Liu and Wang generalized Appell's and Lauricella's hypergeometric functions. Motivated by the work of Liu and Wang, the main object of this paper is to present new generalizations of Appell's and Lauricella's hypergeometric functions. Some integral representations, transformation formulae, differential formulae and recurrence relations are obtained for these new generalized Appell's and Lauricella's functions.

직교항 개서 시스템은 함수형 언어와 그 구현 과정을 잘 반영하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 룰의 왼쪽 부분을 매우 간략한 형태로 된 flat 시스템으로 번역하는 기법에 대해서 논의한다. 직교항 개서 시스템의 한 부류인 transformable OTRSs를 정의하고, 이 시스템들은 flat 시스템으로 변환될 수 있음을 보인다. 이 변환은 람다 계산법에서 연구된 분리성 이론을 기반으로 하고 있는데, 본 논문에서는 직교항 개서 시스템에서의 분리성과 강력 순차성에 대한 연관성에 대해서도 논의하고 있다.

This paper is devoted to simplified Tikhonov regularization for two kinds of parabolic equations, i.e., a sideways parabolic equation, and a two-dimensional inverse heat conduction problem. The measured data are assumed to be known approximately. We concentrate on the convergence rates of the simplified Tikhonov approximation of u(x, t) and its derivative $u_x$(x, t) of sideways parabolic equations at 0 $\leq$ x < 1, and that of two-dimensional inverse heat conduction problem at 0 < x $\leq$ 1, respectively.

Subnormality of bounded weighted composition operators on $L^2({\Sigma})$ of the form $Wf=uf{\circ}T$, where T is a nonsingular measurable transformation on the underlying space X of a ${\sigma}$-finite measure space (X, ${\Sigma}$, ${\mu}$) and u is a weight function on X; is studied. The standard moment sequence characterizations of subnormality of weighted composition operators are given. It is shown that weighted composition operators are subnormal if and only if $\{J_n(x)\}^{+{\infty}}_{n=0}$ is a moment sequence for almost every $x{{\in}}X$, where $J_n=h_nE_n({\mid}u{\mid}^2){\circ}T^{-n}$, $h_n=d{\mu}{\circ}T^{-n}/d{\mu}$ and $E_n$ is the conditional expectation operator with respect to $T^{-n}{\Sigma}$.

본 논문은 데이터 캐시를 효과적으로 사용하기 위하여 개발된 원시 프로그램의 루프 변환체제에 대하여 논하고 있다. DIUS로 명명된 이 체계는 외부 루프 펼침을 중심으로 루프 분산, 교환이 선행되고 , 마직막에 스칼라화가 적용되는 변환체계이다. 루프 교환은 회전 공간이 루프 단위로 변형되어 전반적으로 캐시 재사용 기회를 높이지만 일부 배열 참조에 대해서는 오히려 재사용 기회를 감소시킨다. 본 연구에서는 이 문제를 외부 루프 펼침으로 해결하였다. 외부 루프 펼침과 루프 교환을 루프 몸체의 문장들에 선별적으로 적용하기 위하여 루프 분산을 도입하였다. 외부 루프 펼침을 적용하면 배열 참조를 스칼라 참조로 변환하는 스칼라화의 효과가 증대되어 레지스터 사용의 효율성이 높아진다. SPEC CFP95 벤치마크에 대하여 DIUS를 적용한 결과 기하학적 평균으로 속도 향상 1.10을 얻었으며, 특정 프로그램들은 모두 캐시 미스수가 줄어들었음을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 성능향상은사용된 루프 변환기법들이 갖는 캐시와 레지스터의 효율적인 사용에 기인한다.

The reporter plasmid pMT-lacZ containing the metallothionein (MT) promoter region (-320∼+58 with respect to the transcription initiation site) fused to the lacZ gene in a P-element vector was constructed. Transgenic Drosophila bearing the MT-lacZ fusion gene were established by P-element mediated transformation. Expression of the MT-lacZ fusion gene in transformants was examined during development. By treatment with low concentration of cadmium (>1O uM) or paraquat (>50 uM), increased expression of B-galactosidase was shown in fat body, brain lobe, and ganglion transgenic larval tissues. The results show that transformants bearing the MT-lacZ fusion gene are useful for further studies on the mechanism of regulation of MT gene expression and for monitoring toxic metals.

The photovoltaic power generation system has a great future as clean energy instead of fossil fuel which has many environmental problems such as exhausted gas or air pollution. In a utility interactive photovoltaic generation system, a three-phase inverter is used for the connection between the photovoltaic array and the utility. This paper present a three phase inverter for photovoltaic power system with current controller, voltage controller, PLL Control system and the Phase detector of Interactive Voltage by using dq transformation. The proposed inverter system provides a sinusoidal ac current for domestic loads and the utility line with unity power factor.
