  • South Korea is at an important juncture in its history to decide whether to continue its investment to become a first-mover of artificial intelligence (A.I.) platform technology or stay as a fast follower. This paper compares South Korea's A.I. platform capacity to that of the United States, China and the European Union by reviewing publicly opened documents and reports on AI platform strategies and policies using the three elements of the national innovation capacity: common innovation infrastructure, cluster-specific conditions, and quality of linkages. This paper found three major areas the South Korean government can focus on in the A.I. platform industry. First, South Korea needs to increase its investment in the A.I. field and expand its public-private collaboration activities. Second, unlike the U.S. and the U.K., South Korea lacks data protection policies. Third, South Korea needs to build a high-performance system and environment to experiment with artificial intelligence technology and big data.

  • Let $\{A_u,\;u=0,\;1,\;2,\;{\cdots}\}$ be a sequence of coefficient matrices such that ${\sum}_{u=0}^{\infty}{\parallel}A_u{\parallel}<{\infty}$ and ${\sum}_{u=0}^{\infty}\;A_u{\neq}O_{m{\times}m}$, where for any $m{\times}m(m{\geq}1)$, matrix $A=(a_{ij})$, ${\parallel}A{\parallel}={\sum}_{i=1}^m{\sum}_{j=1}^m{\mid}a_{ij}{\mid}$ and $O_{m{\times}m}$ denotes the $m{\times}m$ zero matrix. In this paper, a functional central limit theorem is derived for a stationary m-dimensional linear process ${\mathbb{X}}_t$ of the form ${\mathbb{X}_t}={\sum}_{u=0}^{\infty}A_u{\mathbb{Z}_{t-u}}$, where $\{\mathbb{Z}_t,\;t=0,\;{\pm}1,\;{\pm}2,\;{\cdots}\}$ is a stationary sequence of linearly positive quadrant dependent m-dimensional random vectors with $E({\mathbb{Z}_t})={{\mathbb{O}}$ and $E{\parallel}{\mathbb{Z}_t}{\parallel}^2<{\infty}$.

  • Let $\Omega$ be a bounded, open, and polygonal domain in $R^2$ with re-entrant corners. We consider the following Partial Differential Equations: $$(I-\nabla\nabla\cdot+\nabla^{\bot}\nabla\times)u\;=\;f\;in\;\Omega$$, $$n\cdotu\;0\;0\;on\;{\Gamma}_{N}$$, $${\nabla}{\times}u\;=\;0\;on\;{\Gamma}_{N}$$, $$\tau{\cdot}u\;=\;0\;on\;{\Gamma}_{D}$$, $$\nabla{\cdot}u\;=\;0\;on\;{\Gamma}_{D}$$ where the symbol $\nabla\cdot$ and $\nabla$ stand for the divergence and gradient operators, respectively; $f{\in}L^2(\Omega)^2$ is a given vector function, $\partial\Omega=\Gamma_{D}\cup\Gamma_{N}$ is the partition of the boundary of $\Omega$; nis the outward unit vector normal to the boundary and $\tau$represents the unit vector tangent to the boundary oriented counterclockwise. For simplicity, assume that both $\Gamma_{D}$ and $\Gamma_{N}$ are nonempty. Denote the curl operator in $R^2$ by $$\nabla\times\;=\;(-{\partial}_2,{\partial}_1$$ and its formal adjoint by $${\nabla}^{\bot}\;=\;({-{\partial}_1}^{{\partial}_2}$$ Consider a weak formulation(WF): Find $u\;\in\;V$ such that $$a(u,v):=(u,v)+(\nabla{\cdot}u,\nabla{\cdot}v)+(\nabla{\times}u,\nabla{\times}V)=(f,v),\;A\;v{\in}V$$. (2) We assume there is only one singular corner. There are many methods to deal with the domain singularities. We introduce them shortly and we suggest a new Finite Element Methods by using Singular representation for the solution.

  • The u-learning environment has been developed through a number of iterations, and has now been formally evaluated, through analysis of student learning results and the use of quantitative and qualitative measures, Generally, for advance learning effect and analysis of student learning results, the most learning system be use to the item analysis method. But, nowadays, it has using the IRT(Item Response Theory) instead of the item analysis method, The IRT adopts explicit models for the probability of each possible response to a test. Therefore, I proposed the lightweight component based u-learning system using the IRT. Applied device of u-learning is PDA which is in Windows mobile 5.0 environments.

  • The representative concept of the future war is NCW. The main point of NCW is that it is connected by networ ks and gathers the battlefield status in real time, managing and controlling it. This is most needed in the navy. Operations of the navy are carried out in wide areas, individually or together. During this process, sharing information between each warship should be essential. Furthermore in the case of the American navy, they see the entire world as the operation area so it is a representative example of NCW. The C4I system of the Korean army is separated a ccording to the difference of each army's tactics and weapon system, being developed and managed differently. The refore there is a problem of interoperability lacking in each system. This paper analyzes the developed C4I system of the American navy to analyze the problems of C4I system of the Korean army, and propose the future direction of its development.

  • In this paper we analyze the CA formed by combining the uniform 102 CA $\mathbb{C}_u$ and the m-cell 90/150 hybrid CA $\mathbb{C}_h$ whose characteristic polynomial is $(x+1)^m$. We analyze cycle structures of complemented group CA derived from $\mathbb{C}_u$ and propose a condition of complemented CA dividing the entire state space into smaller cycles of equal lengths. And we analyze the cycle structure of complemented group CA $\mathbb{C}^{\prime}$ derived from the CA $\mathbb{C}$ formed by combining $\mathbb{C}_u$ and $\mathbb{C}_h$ with complement vector F such that $(T+I)^{q-1}F{\neq}0$ where $(x+1)^q$ is the minimal polynomial of $\mathbb{C}$.

  • The present study investigates in detail the combined effects of the Coriolis and centrifugal farce on the development of laminar flows in a square-sectioned U-bend rotating about an axis parallel to the center of bend curvature. When a viscous fluid flows through a rotating curved region, two types of secondary flow occur. One is caused by the Coriolis force due to the rotation of U-bend and the other by the centrifugal farce due to the curvature of U-bend. When the values of Rossby number and curvature ratio are large, the flow field in a rotating U-bend can be represented by two dimensionless parameters ; the Dean number K$\_$LC/=Re/√λ and a body ratio F=λ/Po. For positive rotation, where the rotation is in the same direction as that of the main flow, both the Coriolis force and the centrifugal force act radially outwards, the directions of the two secondary flows are the same. Therefore, the flow structure is qualitatively similar to that observed in a stationary curved duct with a larger f7c. On the other hand, in case of negative rotation, where two farces act in opposite direction, more complex flow fields can be observed depending on the relative magnitudes of the forces.

  • Eighteen N-substituted phenyl 1, 3, 5-trimethylpyrazole-4-carboxamides were synthesized to screen for their mycelial growth inhibition activity against Rhizoctonia solani $K{\ddot{u}}hn$ $(pEC_{50})$ and to measure enzymatic inhibition activity of these compounds $(pI_{50})$ against succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) isolated from Rhizoctonia solani $K{\ddot{u}}hn$ A structure-activity relationship formulated by regression analysis showed that 79% of the variance in mycelial growth inhibition activity can be explained with SDH inhibition activity and chromatographic capacity factor $(\acute{k})$ as a hydrophobic parameter related to the penetration and transport processes in the biological system.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the distribution of /ju/ in British English, especially after the coronal sonorants /n, l, /r/. The sequence /ju/ is related with vowels such as /u/, /ʊ/, and /ʊ/, and has occasioned a variety of conflicting analyses or suggestions. One of those is in which context /j/ is deleted if we suppose that the underlying form is /ju/. The context differs according to the dialect we deal with. In British English, it is known that /j/ is deleted always after /r/, and usually after /l/ when it occurs in an unstressed word-medial syllable. To check this well-known fact I searched OED Online (the 2nd Edition, 1989) for those words which contain /n, l, r/ + /ju, jʊ, u, ʊ, (j)u, (j)ʊ/ in their pronunciations, using the search engine provided by OED Online. After removing some unnecessary words, I classified the collected words into several groups according to the preceding sonorant consonants, the positions, and the presence (or absence) of the stress, of the syllable where /ju/ occurs. The results are as follows: 1) the deletion of /j/ depends on the sonorant consonant which /ju/ follows, the position where it occurs, and the presence of the stress which /ju/ bears; 2) though the influence of the sonorant consonants is strong, the position and stress also have non-trivial effect on the deletion of /j/, that is, the word-initial syllable and the stressed syllable prefer the deletion of /j/, and word-medial and unstressed syllable usually retain /j/; 3) the stress and position factors play their own roles even in the context where the effect of /n, l, r/ is dominant.
