  • In this paper, a preconditioned mixed-type splitting iterative method for solving the linear systems Ax = b is presented, where A is a Z-matrix. Then we also obtain some results to show that the rate of convergence of our method is faster than that of the preconditioned AOR (PAOR) iterative method and preconditioned SOR (PSOR) iterative method. Finally, we give one numerical example to illustrate our results.

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify the relationship between the Ideal Beauty of Body and the Form of Dress, and to analyze its historical perspectives. First of all, the concept of the Ideal Beauty of Body, the definition of Dress Form, and the method and system to clarify Dress Form were depicted. Based on this frame work, the Form of Dress related to the Ideal Beauty of Body was described historically. For this purpose, documentary research were conducted and representative photography and paintings were used. The analysis was limited to the female one-Piece dress from Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Byzantine, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Naoclassicism, and to Romanticism. The results were as follows: 1. The Ideal Beauty of Body was found to be different throughout history and to be intimate- ly linked with fashionable dress. 2. The Form of Dress consisted of four basic components: The form of body itself, the form of clothing itself, the method of wearing, and the relationship between body and clothing. 3. The standards for classification of body form were body structure, body type, body proportion, posture, and movement. Clothing form was generally classified into flat type (unstructured type) and three dementional type (structured type); flat type was subclassified into draped type and tunic type. The method of wearing was classified into attached type, tying-up type, wrap·around type, pull-over type, open type and plastistic type. The relationship between body and clothing after wearing was generally classified into body priority type and clothing priority type. The clothing priority type was further divided into body exaggeration type and body concealment type; Body exaggeration type was further divided into upward type, downward type, forward type, backward type, right type and constriction type. 4. The pursuit of venus coelestis, metaphysical body part, ectomorphic body type, flat type clothing, body priority type; the pursuit of Venus Naturalis, physical body part, endomorphic body type, three dementional type clothing, clothing priority type proved to be closely related respectively by the historical study on the Ideal Beauty of Body and the Form of Dress.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the personality type and stress coping method of students of Dept. dental hygiene students and relationship between them. Second purpose of this study was to suggest the good and useful method of stress coping. Data was drawn from a convenient sample of 350 and 3rd year students of the department of dental hygiene, some college located in Kyung-Ki Province. The results were analyzed with SPSS 10.0 and the conclusion is as follow: 1. The average of Machiavellism type is 3.30, which indicates that most of the students has a middle type(80%). In the A/B type, most of the students has B type(46.7%). In the score of externality and internality, externality(62.6%) is higher than internality(20.3%) 2. As a result of investigating how they coped with stress, the direct coping was utilized most and the physical was utilized least. 3. In the relation between the personality type and stress coping method, non-Machiavellism type has a statistically significant difference, in the direct coping and destructive coping.

  • The paper is devoted to study local convergence of a continuation method under the assumption of majorant conditions. The method is used to approximate a zero of an operator in Banach space and is of third order. It is seen that the famous Kantorovich-type and Smale-type conditions are special cases of our majorant conditions. This infers that our result is a generalized one in comparison to results based on Kantorovich-type and Smale-type conditions. Finally a number of numerical examples have been computed to show applicability of the convergence analysis.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a method of the sensitivity analysis that can be applied to a non-tree solution of the minimum cost flow problem. First, we introduce two types of sensitivity analysis. A sensitivity analysis of Type 1a is the well known method applicable to a tree solution. However this method can not be applied to a non-tree solution. So we propose a sensitivity analysis of Type 2 that keeps solutions of upper bounds at upper bounds, those of lower bounds at lower bounds, and those of intermediate values at intermediate values. For the cost coefficient we present a method that the sensitivity analysis of Type 2 is solved by finding the shortest path. Besides we also show that the results of Type 2 and Type 1 are the same in a spanning tree solution. For the right-hand side constant or the capacity, the sensitivity analysis of Type 2 is solved by a simple calculation using arcs with intermediate values.

  • In this research, we presented the type 2 fuzzy transportation problem with additional constraints and solved by our proposed genetic algorithm model, and the results are verified using the softwares, genetic algorithm tool in Matlab and Lingo. The goal of our approach is to minimize the cost in solving a transportation problem with an additional constraint (TPAC) using the genetic algorithm (GA) based type 2 fuzzy parameter. We reduced the type 2 fuzzy set (T2FS) into a type 1 fuzzy set (T1FS) using a critical value-based reduction method (CVRM). Also, we use the centroid method (CM) to obtain the corresponding crisp value for this reduced fuzzy set. To achieve the best solution, GA is applied to TPAC in type 2 fuzzy parameters. A real-life situation is considered to illustrate the method.

  • Type-II progressive censoring is one of the censoring methods frequently used in clinical studies, reliability trials, quality control of products and industrial experiments. Sometimes in Type-II progressive censoring experiments, the failure rate is low so the waiting time to observe the $m^{th}$ failure will be very long; however, the experimenter may have to terminate the experiment before a predetermined time. In this article, if two generalized types of Type-II progressive censoring are reminded, we then make some changes in the removal method of Type-II progressive censoring such that without reducing the deduction quality, the termination time of the experiment decreases. This can be done with decreasing withdraws throughout the steps of the experiment with a special reasonable method. A simulation study is done and the results are tabulated at the end of this article for a comparison between introduced method and Type-II progressive censoring.

  • The conventional CCPU(Cable Covering Protective Unit) modeling methods which are used by Type 99 and Type 92 in EMTP simulation are firstly discussed in this paper, and then some problems of them are also investigated. Modeling method using Type 99 causes unstable characteristic at initial transient of CCPU operation. Time delay has also effect on the output of CCPU modeling. So, in this paper, a new modeling method for CCPU is designed by DBM(Data Base Module) of EMTP. The characteristic of Type 92 is used for the new modeling method. The reliability of this one is proved by comparing simulation with measured data. Specially, at initial transient, the waveform of the new method shows more stable result than that of conventional method using Type 99. Also, the peak value is similar to measured data.

  • This paper is concerned with the development of a new method for making, separating ice and storage floated ice by installing an evaporation plate at under-water within a storage tank. In a conventional harvest-type ice storage system, a tank saves ice by separating an ice from an installed evaporation plate, which is located above an ice storage tank as an ice storage system. Developed new harvest-type method shows good heat transfer efficiency than a convectional method. It is because the evaporation panel is directly contacted with water in a storage tank. Also, at a conventional system a circulating pump, a circulating water distributor and a piping are installed, however these components are not necessary in a new method. In this study ice storage systems are experimentally investigated to study the charge and discharge of thermal energy. The results show the applicable possibility and performance enhancement of a new type.
