  • We suggested specific and practical marketing strategies to coffee shop managers and customers to create a symbiotic relationship. The coffee shop's relationship to reliability, commitment, and shop loyalty was analyzed thoroughly. The samples for this study were 393 coffee shop customers in Seoul. The results showed that customer reliability about coffee shops improved as reputation, customer orientation, specialty, and tie increased, but reliability was reduced as the size of the coffee shop became larger. Communication did not significantly affect reliability. Second, customer reliability positively affected commitment, so commitment increased as customer reliability increased. Third, customer reliability positively affected shop loyalty, so shop loyalty increased as customer reliability increased. Fourth, customer commitment positively affected shop loyalty, so shop loyalty increased as customer commitment increased.

Cooperating, obliging, and compromising strategies of conflict resolution strategy had significant effects on relationship trust. Also, relationship trust had significant effect on relationship performance. In other words, the result of this study suggests that if the franchise headquarters and the franchisee actively consider the position of the other party and strive to achieve the goal, conflict resolution may be more successful. In order to do this, the franchise headquarters will have to consider how to build and maintain continuous communication with the franchisees, and continuous education is also needed so that employees can have a cooperative attitude. However, since the culture of these organizations is not made up of simple staff training and is not formed within a short time, the CEO of the franchisee headquarters should take the lead in establishing a cooperative culture with the merchants over the long term.

What organizational culture positively influences organizational performance? In this study, we tried to categorize organizational culture as creativity, change, cooperation, trust and knowledge sharing for specific public institutions and to diagnose the organizational culture by examining the level of recognition of the organizational members. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of organizational culture on organizational culture. The result of this study shows that the degree of future - oriented and cooperative culture of the public institutions that are the subject of research is not so high. In order to improve the performance of the organization, it is necessary to create a futuristic and cooperative culture. In order to create such a culture, various efforts must be made to continuously communicate and build trust among the members of the organization. In particular, leadership efforts to distribute, transfer, and trust authority to subordinates are a priority. In other words, it is very difficult to build a future-oriented, collaborative culture successfully without the efforts of managers.

  • This study aims to explore how the effects of the perceived social presence on trust and live chat adoption intention vary with the types of live chats in e-commerce context. As technology develops, live chat with the seller in e-commerce is rapidly replaced by AI-assisted live chat called chat-bot. However, it is not well known how the buyers perceive the difference between the chat with seller and the chat-bot. This study therefore proposes first, the perceived social presence toward the seller will influence trust and the live chat adoption. Second, the effects of social presence will be stronger when using live chat with seller than using chat-bot. To validate, we collect data from 232 e-commerce users and confirm the first proposition. However, the higher level of the social presence effect of live chat with seller is not clearly revealed. This study is expected to provide researchers and managers who are interested in AI-based chatbots with useful theoretical and practical implications.

  • In this study, a survey was conducted on the development of meal kits for children's foodservice to increase the convenience of the cooking process. It was performed among the foodservice managers in the 141 children's foodservice facilities registered in the Center for Children's Foodservice Management about meal-kits in Changwon areas. The survey results were analyzed according to the children's foodservice scale type. The biggest problem in a foodservice system was "difficult to purchase food ingredients directly every week" (38.4%) in small-scale children's foodservices, and "difficult to use the served menu without modification" (38.2%) in institutional children's foodservices (P<0.001). The most important factor when choosing the meal kit was "quality" (41.1%). Respondents on having an experience with using the meal kit were low at 34.8%, and the reasons for not using the meal kits were "expensive" (67.3%) and "not fresh food ingredients" (18.4%). The main reasons for not using children's foodservice meal kits were "expensiveness" (64.4%) and "necessity of adding disinfection process" (16.1%). Most of the reasons for not wanting to use children's foodservice meal kits were that they did not trust the safety of the meal kits. The use of meal kits in children's foodservices may reduce the preparation process and increase the efficiency of foodservice although the safety and quality of meal kits should be guaranteed. The appropriate hygiene management standards need to be set, and HACCP should be applied to develop meal kits for children's foodservices.

  • The purpose of this GWP project was two-fold:(1) to launch an organizational culture improvement for great workplace (2) to improve the perception of nursing personnel on communication and team work in a surgical nursing department of a teaching hospital in Seoul. Using one group pretest-posttest design, nursing personnel's perception on organizational culture related to communication and team work was evaluated. A 10-item, 5-point scale (1.5) survey was administered to 209 nursing personnel in January 2009 and again to 191 nursing personnel in October 2009. From January 2009, AMANNA team has taken activities focused on trust, pride, and fun. AMANNA is an abbreviation of Korean language, which means wonderful meeting and sharing in English. Monthly activities are as follows: choral concerts by nurse managers, welcome and farewell events, praising members for their services, explaining current circumstances, etc. Special activities are as follows: a New Year's greeting party, a spring picnic, beauty classes, a lecture on drug administration, cultural lectures using videos, and presentations of academic posters and another activity. The reliability of measurement was Cronbach's ${\alpha}$: 0.917(pretest), 0.954(posttest). Most nursing personnel's perception on organizational culture was improved (pretest mean=3.50 and posttest mean=3.78, p<.001). "A sense of belonging" showed the greatest improvement among the 10 items(3.18 vs. 3.56, p<.001). "Trust each other" showed the highest score (mean=3.98) in posttest. Frequency of participation and satisfaction showed a significant relationship(r=0.179, p=.021). We believe that this project has made a contribution towards a positive organizational culture. The keys to this initiative's preliminary success have been the leadership support and flexibility in implementing the interventions tailored to the hospital.

  • The purpose of this study is to review the current state of the transformational leadership and LMX approach to the study of leadership. Leadership research has witnessed a shift from traditional transactional models to a new genre of theories of transformational and charismatic leadership and LMX. Transformational leadership theories offer the promise of extraordinary individual and organizational outcomes. Leaders motivate followers to perform beyond expected levels by activating higher order needs, fostering a climate of trust, and inducing them to transcend their self-interest for the organization's sake. Numerous investigations point of the robustness of the effects of such leadership on individual and organizational outcomes such as job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and performance. LMX theory suggests that leaders do not use the same style in dealing with all subordinates, but rather develop a different type of relationship or exchange with each subordinate. These relationships range from those that are based strictly on employment contracts to those that are characterized by mutual trust, respect, liking, and reciprocal influence. LMX has been positively related to job satisfaction, productivity, and career progress of managers and negatively related to turnover and employee grievances. In conclusions, effective leaders link achievement of organizational goals to follower fulfillment of self-development goals, with the former advancing the latter.
