This study focuses on the beginning of transition to parenthood expectation and applies the exchange theory in order to examine reward and cost of transition to parenthood expectation and picks up the main cause effecting it. This study conducted structured questionnaires to total 330 first pregnant women and examined descriptive statistics and t-test F-test analysis by using collected data. And here are the result of research. First the transition to parenthood expectation expected rewards much more than costs and had much importance on individual aspects in parenthood. The more were they aged hardly educated and housewives the higher did they showed expectation of reward. The less did they have high education the more did they expect costs of the transition to parenthood expectation. Second to examined the reward/cost of transition to parenthood expectation according to martial satisfaction the more did they have martial satisfaction the more did they expectation of the rewa ds on transition to parenthood expectation. On the contrary the more did they respect from husbands the less did they cost of transition to parenthood expectation. This study would be helpful to lead family life having childbirth to the positive way be examining the process from childbirth plan to delivery. Also it will be applicable to seek for the methods to help would-be parents as basic data on material on education about transition to parenthood.

The incidence of pediatric-onset inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is on the rise, accounting for up to 25% of IBD cases. Pediatric IBD often has extensive bowel involvement with aggressive and rapidly progressing behavior compared to adult IBD. Because IBD has a high morbidity rate and can have a lifelong impact, successful transition from pediatric to adult care is important to maintain the continuity of care. Furthermore, successful transition facilitates appropriate development and psychosocial well-being among patients, as well as comprehensive and harmonious healthcare delivery amongst stakeholders. However, there are various obstacles related to patients, family, providers, and organizations that interfere with successful transition. Successful transition requires a flexible and tailored plan that is made according to the patient's developmental abilities and situation. This plan should be established through periodic interviews with the patient and family and through close collaboration with other care providers. Through a stepwise approach to the transition process, patients' knowledge and self-management skills can be improved. After preparation for the transition is completed and the obstacles are overcome, patients can be gradually moved to adult care. Finally, successful transition can increase patients' adherence to therapy, maintain the appropriate health status, improve patients' self-management, and promote self-reliance among patients.

This study models mobile communication channels as a discrete finite Markovian process, and Markovian jump linear system having parallel Kalman filter type is applied. What is newly proposed in this paper is an equation for obtaining the transition matrix according to sampling time by using a weighted Gaussian sum approximation and its simple calculation process. Experiments show that the proposed method has superior performance and reuires computation compared to the existing MJLS using the ransition matrix given by a statistical method or from priori information.

This paper considers a performance analysis of set-top box (STB) power saving schemes. STB converts the signal into content which is then displayed on the television (TV) screen, and there are typically two operation modes: on mode and stand-by mode. The total energy consumption (TEC), a typical measure of power consumption of STB, is defined by the sum of power consumption in each mode. Recently there are some works of STB power saving schemes that transit STB operation modes efficiently, and the mode transition time point of those schemes can be different. Thus it is required to develop a performance evaluation method that reflects mode transition time points of each scheme to get TEC correctly. This paper proposes a performance evaluation method for STB power consumption using Poisson process to consider the mode transition time point. By modeling STB mode transitions as events of Poisson process, the average time duration of STB mode is computed and accordingly the effect of power saving is evaluated. The performance evaluation result shows that the proposed method achieves 1 to 19% improvement in power consumption compared with a conventional performance evaluation method.

A significant number of tropical cyclones move into the midlatitudes and go through transformation procedure into extratropical cyclones. This process is generally referred to as extratropical transition of the tropical cyclone. In this study, MIDULLE(0407) case is selected. A thorough analysis is made using the GDAPS analysis data and MTM (Moving-nest Typhoon Model) model output. It is found that during the extratropical transition an important dynamics in the environmetal flow field occurs in which colder, drier (warm, moist) air penetrates in the western (eastern) quadrant of MINDULLE's outer circulation, which in turn initiates an asymmetry in the distribution of wind and temperature of the tropical cyclone. Simulated MTM result also reveals similar properties as in GDAPS analysis data. MTM result shows the gradual transition to the asymmetric distribution of wind and thickness as the extratropical transition proceeds. It is also found that the warm core disappears during the extratropical transition stage. Also, vortex tube is shown tilting towards the west during the transition. And the precipitation expands poleward of the center and the maximum precipitation appears to the left of MINDULLE which is consistent to the observations.

In this study, two stage transfer line with limited repair capability is modeled to formulate optimal dynamic repair priority policy. The method of Markov Chains is used to analyze the analytical model of this line. An efficient algorithm is developed, utilizing the block tridiagonal structure of the transition probability matrix, to obtain the steady state probabilities and system performance measures, such as the steady state production rate of the line and the average in-process inventory in the interstage buffer.

Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD), which is composed of a transition metal atom and chalcogen ion atoms, usually form vacancies based on the knock-on threshold of each atom. In particular, when electron beam is irradiated on a monolayer TMD such as MoS₂ and WS₂, S vacancies are formed preferentially, and they are aligned linearly to constitute line defects. And then, a hole is formed at the point where the successively formed line defects collide, and metal clusters are also formed at the edge of the hole. This study reports a process in which the line defects formed in a monolayer WS₂ sheet expends into holes. Here, the process in which the W cluster, which always occurs at the edge of the formed hole, goes through a uniform intermediate phase is explained based on the line defects and the formation behavior of the hole. Further investigation confirms the atomic structure of the intermediate phase using annular dark field scanning transition electron microscopy (ADF-STEM) and image simulation.

The IT outsourcing industry has been widespread for decades since the growth of the system integration industry stagnates and companies need to curtail expenses and improve the quality of IT services. According to previous studies on the success factors of the IT outsourcing, its transition phase is significant because of continuity of business and the handover of knowledge. Since a transition phase consists of several projects, but its goal is different from general projects, it needs special and professional management. Therefore, recent IT outsourcing business starts to introduce PMO (project management offices), of which success strongly depends on the competencies of the PMO. However, there are only few studies on which competencies of the PMO are important. In this paper, we suggest an evaluation model of transition PMO competencies derived using the repertory grid technique and the analytic hierarchy process. Additionally, we compare the differences between the views of several stakeholders on the importance of the competencies.
