  • Several kinds of homotopies have been substantially used to study topological properties of digital spaces. The present paper, as a survey article, studies some recent results in the field of homotopy theory associated with Khalimsky topology. In particular, Khalimsky topological properties of digital products related to the establishment of the homotopies are mainly treated.

  • Topology may described a pattern of existence of elements of a given set X. The family ${\tau}(X)$ of all topologies given on a set X form a complete lattice. We will give some topologies on this lattice ${\tau}(X)$ using a topology on X and regard ${\tau}(X)$ a topological space. Our purpose of this study is to give new topologies on the family ${\tau}(X)$ of all topologies induced by old one and its ${\theta}$ topology and to compare them.

  • Secure multi-party computation (MPC) has been a research focus of cryptography in resent studies. However, hiding the topology of the network in secure computation is a rather novel goal. Inspired by a seminal paper [1], we proposed a topology-hiding broadcast protocol based on NTRUEncrypt and secret sharing. The topology is concealed as long as any part of the network is corrupted. And we also illustrated the merits of our protocol by performance and security analysis.

  • Topology optimization is widely accepted as a conceptual design tool for the product design. Since the resulted layout of the topology optimization is a kind of digital images represented by the density distribution, the seamless process is required to transform digital images to the CAD model for the practical use. In this paper, the general process to construct a CAD model is developed to apply for topology images based on elements. (omitted)

  • David Gavid [3] proved that in many familiar cases the upper semi-finite topology on the set of closed subsets of a space is the largest topology making the coincidence function continuous, when the collection of functions is given the graph topology. Considering G-spaces and taking the coincidence set to consist of points where orbits coincidence, we obtain G-version of many of his results.

  • The topology optimization of electromagnetic systems is investigated and the TOPEM (Topology Optimization for Electromagnetic Systems) is developed using the finite element method (FEM). The design sensitivity equation for topology optimization is derived using the adjoint variable method. The proposed method is validated by applying it to the topology optimizations of a C-core actuator and an optical pickup actuator.

  • The main purpose of this work is to suggest a new approach to teaching general topology to undergraduate students. First, we change the order of contents. Usually, we introduce definitions, examples, theorems, and problems in this order. But, showing familiar examples of some concept of topology prior to the definition of one is the best method so far as I know from teaching experience of topology, which students feel very hard because of its abstractness. For more efficiency, mathematics-clubs each consisting of three or four students in topology course are established. This makes students very positive in topology class.

  • The topology optimization for the magnet design is studied. The magnet design in the C-core actuator is investigated by using the derived topology optimization algorithm and finite element method. The design sensitivity equation for the topology optimization is derived using the adjoint variable method and the continuum approach.
