  • Optical communication according to request of technology of communications and optical fiber to be full filed faster communication and pass over transmission capacity limit per unit area, per unit hour appeared, and this optical fiber acts the biggest role to influence performance of optical communication network. Optical fiber(PMF Polarization Maintaining Fiber) is used, and is used by electric field measurement, self-discipline measurement, sensor(Sensor) Department by high definition measure such as thermometry and storehouse component that use because make broad sense status and polarized light information in passageway and union with storehouse integrated circuit etc. that use broad sense interference developing could transmit in state that keep transmitting broad sense plane of polarization is polarized light existence. Also, research is developed by optical fiber for Coherent communication recently.

  • Under the power-based capture model, a transmission is successfully received at the destination, even in the presence of other transmissions and background noise, if the received signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio exceeds a capture threshold. We evaluate the spectral efficiency of simple multi-user channels by combining the basic capture model with a communication-theoretic model. The result is a more refined capture model that incorporates key system design parameters (such as achievable bit rate, target bit error rate, channel bandwidth, and modulation signal constellations) that are absent from the basic capture model. The relationships among these parameters can serve as a tool for optimizing the network performance.

  • As demands on the precision bevel gears are increased in the related industry, the exact kinematical investigations of a pair of spherical involute bevel gears are required for the computer aided design. The exact angular velocity ratio based on the characteristics of the spherical involute tooth is derived and verified from the relationship between rotational angles. Elementary kinematics of the gearsets is investigated by applying the transformation of the coordinate systems. The tooth contact lines based on logarithmic tooth-wise curve are examines in three dimentional space. Contact ratio is formulated and simulated according to the system parameters such as shaft angles, pressure angle, and spiral angles. The condition of teeth interference is dervied and the critical numbers of gear teeth are calculated. The whole surface geometry of a spiral bevel gearsets are discretized and visualized by a computer graphic tool.

High resolution linear scale using collimated LASER (레이저를 이용한 광학식 리니어 스케일의 분해능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • The main scale of linear scale greatly affects on the precision of displacement measurement. Especially when needing the long range measurement, the length of main scale should be increased accordingly. In this paper, we propose a linear scale that uses laser interference pattern as main scale for long range measurement. The linear scale is similar to Michelson interferometer excepting that the reference mirror is tilted so as to obtain interference fringe pattern and a grating panel is attached on a quadratic photo diodes. Four kinds of grating having phase differences of 0, $\pi$ /4, $\pi$ /2, 3 $\pi$ /4 are arranged on the panel. The experimental results show that signals of - quadratic photo diode, A, B,$\overline{A}$ and $\overline{B}$ are cosine wavelike and successive signals have phase difference of $\pi$/4 each other. So the proposed method can achieve improved measurement resolution.

  • 본 논문은 멀티미디어를 위한 초고속 통신망으로서의 역할을 하고 있는 VDSL망에서, 라디오 주파수 인터피어런스(RFI: Radio Frequency Interference)가 가해진 VDSL 시스템의 데이터 전송 능력을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 ANSI 표준문서와 FSAN의 제안서를 참조하여 VDSL관점에서 ANSI DSL Standard Group T1E1.4에 제시된 VDSL Test Loop를 사용하였다. .국내에서 사용되고 있는 아마추어 무선(HAM)용 주파수 대역에 적용한 경우에 대해 VDSL 전송 능력을 파악하였으며, 이를 위해 Matlab tool을 이용하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 하였다. VDSL 방식 이론에 근거한 전승 속도에 대한 계산에서, RFI 유입을 방지하기 위해 notch를 형성한 PSD(Power Spectral Density)를 사용하였으며, 이에 대한 실험을 통하여 VDSL 시스템의 전송 속도 감소를 확인하였다.

  • RNA interference has been used as a powerful tool in preventing virus proliferation in many species. In this study, we injected the dsRNA in vitro transcripts into Bombyx mori to investigate the resistance to B. mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus (BmNPV). Through vivisectional observation and real-time quantities PCR analysis, we found that these dsRNA can prevent the BmNPV to a certain extent, and delay the viruses' proliferation.

  • In this paper, we analyze ADC effect in IBFD system. Also, we design IBFD system with ADC effect, and evaluate BER performance of the system according to power of self-interference. Firstly, we describe a fundamentals of general IBFD system. And then we calculate and analyze characteristics of desired signal before and after ADC when residual self-interference is added to desired signal after RF cancellation. In this calculation, we have confirm some conditions for selection of # of ADC bit. Finally, we design IBFD system with ADC effect, and evaluate BER performance of the system by using Simulink simulation tool. As simulation results, we have confirmed that when power of residual self-interference is high before ADC, IBFD system must use high-bit ADC for decreasing quantization step. Also, we have confirmed that quantization step should be lower than one-third of amplitude of desired signal for effective communication with good performance.

  • In this paper, interference analysis has been performed between RF receiver and transmitters on each soldier for Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System(MILES) which are following ZigBee standard. In order to obtain minimum transmit power without interference, 1% Packet Error Rates(PER) from 14 transmitters attached on a soldier to a receiver are measured with the scenarios for simple transmitting and receiving network configuration and for repeating network configuration. Based on this transmit power, the available distance for interference free among soldiers is simulated using Spectrum Engineering Advanced Monte Carlo Analysis Tool(SEAMCAT). Later scenario gives the benefit of 10dB lower transmit power, smaller and lighter power source, and better activity of trainee.

  • Recently, femtocell has been concerned as one of effective solutions to relieve shadow region and provide high quality services to users in indoor environments. Even though femtocell offers various benefits to cellular operators and users, many technical issues, such as interference coordination, network synchronization, self-configuration, self-optimization, and so on, should be solved to deploy the femtocell in current network. In this paper, we develop a simulator for evaluating performance of long term evolution (LTE) femtocell systems under various interference scenarios. The simulator consists of a main-module and five sub-modules. The main-module connects and manages five sub-modules which have the functionality managing user mobility, packet scheduling, call admission control, traffic generation, and modulation and coding scheme (MCS). To provide user convenience, the simulator adopts graphical user interface (GUI) which can observes simulation results in real time. We expect that this simulator can contribute to developing effective femtocell systems by supporting a tool for analyzing the effect of interference between macrocell and femtocell.

  • A swept volume is a useful tool for solving various types of interference problems. Previous works have concentrated on sweeping an object along an arbitrary path, that results in complex algorithms. This paper concerns the volume swept by translating an object along a linear path. After analyzing the structure of the swept volume, we present an incremental algorithm for constructing a swept volume. Our algorithm takes O(n/sup 2/ *.alpha.(n)+T/sub c/) time where n is the number of vertices in the original object and T/sub c/ is time for handling face cycles.
