도심교통소음의 노출시간에 따른 라우드니스 및 어노이언스의 주관적 반응에 대한 연구 (Study on the Subjective Responses of Loudness and Annoyance according to Exposed Time for the Traffic Noise)

  • A study has been conducted to investigate the subjective responses of loudness and annoyance according to the exposed time of urban traffic noise in controlled laboratory environment. To make a closer inspection into psychological response relevant to noise characteristics while varying the time of exposure to noise, the subjects were presented a set of noises with different exposed time and requested to judge spontaneously on a 100-unipolar scale. To be concrete, the subjects were exposed to noises being varied in time from 15 sec up to max. 1,200 sec for the controlled traffic noise sources. So far achieved from laborious tests, it has an importance being on the logarithmic relations of perceived loudness and exposed time, say, it is more increased the perceived loudness in the sorter exposed time than in the longer exposed time. However, the trend is said to be not effective for the case of annoyance. On the other hand, the subjective impressions on relative annoyance of noise is shown to be correlated with the noise characteristics such as loudness (sones), tonality and time with logarithmic scale, the product correlation moment being calculated as $R^{2}=0.99$. The variances to be explained for annoyance assessments through varying the time of exposure were ranged between 30 % and 50% for the exposed time, $27{\sim}37%$ for tonality, and $34{\sim}20%$ for loudness, respectively With these results, hopefully, it can be helpful for those who want to work out an experimental design for evaluating an environmental noise or to quantify any psychological dimensions found in annoyance assessments.

  • Time-dependent frequency and energy of free vibration of the Spagetti problem, that is the axially moving continuum with time-varying length, are investigated. Exact expressions for the natural frequency and time-varying vibration energy are derived by dealing with traveling waves. When the string length is increased, the vibration period increases, but the free vibration energy varies as a function of both translating velocity and boundary velocity of the continuum. However, when the string undergoes retraction, the vibration energy increases with time, String tension together with non-zero instantaneous velocity at the moving boundary results in energy variation.

  • 이 논문에서는 편이된 확률밀도함수 간 거리 측정이라는 새로운 거리 측정 기준을 제안하고 이에 관련된 등화 알고리듬을 도출하여 충격성 잡음과 시변 직류 잡음이 있는 다경로 채널에 적용하였다. 이러한 비 가우시안 잡음 환경에서 시행한 시뮬레이션의 결과로부터, 제안한 알고리듬이 충격성 잡음에 강인성을 보일 뿐 아니라 시변 직류 잡음도 제거하는 탁월한 능력을 가짐을 입증하였다.

  • A new algorithm based on the concept of prediction error minimization is suggested to estimate the time varying delay in discrete processes. In spite of the existence of the stochastic noise, this algorithm can estimate time varying delay accurately. Computation time of this algorithm is far less than that of the previous extended parameter methods. With the use of this algorithm, generalized minimum variance control shows good control behavior in simulations.

Beamforming for Downlink Multiuser MIMO Time-Varying Channels Based on Generalized Eigenvector Perturbation

  • A beam design method based on signal-to-leakage-plus-noise ratio (SLNR) has been recently proposed as an effective scheme for multiuser multiple-input multiple-output downlink channels. It is shown that its solution, which maximizes the SLNR at a transmitter, can be simply obtained by the generalized eigenvectors corresponding to the dominant generalized eigenvalues of a pair of covariance matrices of a desired signal and interference leakage plus noise. Under time-varying channels, however, generalized eigendecomposition is required at each time step to design the optimal beam, and its level of complexity is too high to implement in practical systems. To overcome this problem, a predictive beam design method updating the beams according to channel variation is proposed. To this end, the perturbed generalized eigenvectors, which can be obtained by a perturbation theory without any iteration, are used. The performance of the method in terms of SLNR is analyzed and verified using numerical results.

  • 이 논문에서는, PLL주파수 합성기의 VCO로부터의 위상잡음이 64 QAM 시스템 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하려 한다. 발진기에서 발생하는 위상잡음을 실제와 유사하게 예측하기 위해 발진기의 입력 충격 전류가 소신호일 때를 가정하여 선형 시변(linear time-varying : LTV) 모형을 고려하였으며 64 QAM 시스템에서 위상잡음이 복조부에서 검출과정을 거칠 때 위상잡음이 없는 백색정규잡음 환경에서의 BER과 비교하여 어느 정도 시스템 성능을 떨어뜨리는지를 분석한다.

  • 백색 잡음에 알 수 없는 크기를 갖는 바이어스와 충격성 잡음이 부가되어 혼입되는 상황에서 적절한 동작특성을 갖는 적응 추정 계통을 제안하였다 측정계통에 알 수 없는 바이어스가 인가되었을 때 R.L.Moose에 의해 제안된 적응 추정 이론에 Feed Forward Loop를 부가 삽입하여 충격성 잡음이 혼입되었을 때도 시간 변화 가중치(Time Varying Weights)의 합이 0이 되지 않고 적응 추정이 가능한 방법이다. 추정 기준 벡터의 요소 값들을 충분히 큰 값을 줄 수 있어 측정 신호에 부가된 어떤 크기의 바이어스와 충격성 잡음에도 적응 추정이 중단되지 않고 효율적으로 진행되는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과를 얻었다.

  • The sound absorption coefficient of glass wool (bulk density of 48 kg/m:1 and 32 kg/m7) was measured by reverberation room method as varying their cross-sectional area. The results show that the absorption is larger for smaller samples because of edge effect. The absorption coefficient with two different kinds of sources. 1/.7-octave band and while noise, gives similar values.

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 통신 시스템의 시변 공간 상관 채널 (time-varying and spatially correlated channel) 환경에서 전송 시공간 부호 및 단순 선형 복조 처리 방식(transmit space-time code and simple linear decoding processing)으로 구성된 $2{\times}1$ Alamouti scheme의 성능을 분석한다. Alamouti 구조의 closed-form 확률밀도함수 (probability density function, PDF), 출력 신호 대 잡음 비(output signal-to-noise ratio, SNR) 및 오수신 확률 (outage probability)을 시간영역에서의 상관관계가 없음을 가정하고 공간 상관 계수(spatial correlation coefficient)의 함수로 유도한다. 이로써 채널 환경이 시변 공간 상관 (time-varying and spatially correlated)된 경우, Alamouti 구조의 성능은 상당히 열화 됨을 확인할 수 있다.

  • The tire is considered as one of the important noise sources having an influence on vehicle's performance. The Pattern noise of a tire is the transmission sound of airborne noise. On smooth asphalt road, Pattern noise is amplified with the velocity. In recent, the study on the reduction of Pattern noise is energetically processed. Pattern noise is strongly related with pitch sequence. To reduce the pattern noise, tire's designer has to randomize the sequence of pitch. The FFT is a traditional method to evaluate the level of the randomization of the pitch sequence, but gives no information on time-varying, instantaneous frequency. In the study, we found that Time-Frequency transform is a useful method to non-stationary signal such as tire noise.
