전력분석 공격에서 랜덤클럭 전력신호에 대한 일정피치 기반의 시간적 정렬 방법 (A Constant Pitch Based Time Alignment for Power Analysis with Random Clock Power Trace)

  • 전력분석공격은 스마트카드와 같은 저전력 보안장치에 대한 매우 강력한 공격방법이나, 측정된 전력신호와 암호알고리듬 실행 시 추정되는 중간 값과의 상관도를 연산하는 시점이 시간적으로 일치되어야 가능하다. 보안장치에 랜덤클럭을 적용하면 측정된 전력신호 분석 시점이 서로 일치하지 않게 되므로 랜덤클럭이 전력분석 공격에 대한 방어대책으로 사용된다. 본 논문에서는 전력분석공격에서 랜덤클럭 전력신호에 대한 일정피치 기반의 시간적 정렬 방법을 제안한다. 제안방법은 랜덤클럭이 적용된 보안 장치로부터 측정된 전력신호를 일정한 크기를 갖는 기준피치에 맞추어 시간 축 상의 위치와 크기를 정렬하므로 랜덤 클럭 방어대책을 공격할 수 있는 새로운 방법이다. 마지막으로, 랜덤클럭이 적용된 스마트카드 환경에서 실행된 AES 블럭 암호화 알고리듬에 대하여 제안된 방법을 적용하여 그 공격 가능성을 검토한다.

비선형 유하시간 곡선식을 이용한 하도 홍수추적에 관한 연구 (A Study on Channel Flood Routing Using Nonlinear Regression Equation for the Travel Time)

  • 하도 홍수추적과 관련하여 하천에서의 시 공간적 홍수파를 해석하는데 수리학적 방법과 수문학적 방법이 일반적으로 많이 이용되어 왔다. 수문학적 홍수추적 방법은 수리학적 방법에 비해 수행하기에는 비교적 간단하면서도 합리적인 정확성을 지닌다. 수문학적 홍수추적 방법 중 광범위하게 적용되어지고 있는 Muskingum 모형의 중요 변수인 저류상수는 유하시간과 매우 유사한 값을 가진다. 이러한 점에 착안하여 본 연구에서는 저류상수를 산정하기 위해 HEC-RAS를 이용한 유하시간을 산정하고, 하도거리, 하도경사, 유량 자료를 이용하여 유하시간에 대한 비선형 회귀곡선식을 개발하였다. 비선형 회귀곡선에 의해서 산정된 저류상수를 Muskingum 모형에 대입하여 구한 유출량은 HEC-RAS 1차원 부정류 모의를 적용하여 산정된 유출량과 비교하였다. 이와 함께 본 연구에서는 가중인자에 대한 영향 및 상하류 사이의 구간 분할에 대해서 검토하였는데, 그 결과 가중인자 값이 클수록 첨두홍수량이 올라가는 것으로 나타났으며, 구간 분할을 많이 할수록 RMSE가 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

교류 발전기용 하이브리드 자동 전압 조정기 개발 (Development of Hybrid AVR for Alternator)

  • 아날로그 AVR은 부하의 변동에 따라 전압이 비정상상태가 되었다가 다시 정상상태로 돌아가는데 걸리는 시간이 빠른 장점이 있다. 하지만 아날로그 AVR은 부하 변동에 따른 전압변동이 크다는 문제가 있다. 디지털 AVR의 전압변동률은 매우 안정적이지만, 불안정상태에서 안정한 정상상태로 회복하는데 걸리는 시간인 시정수가 아날로그 AVR에 비해 매우 길다. 따라서 부하변동이 매우 큰 상황에서 불안정한 출력성능을 나타낸다. 본 논문에서는 두 AVR의 혼합된 형태를 가지며 빠른 시정수와 안정된 전압조정 능력을 갖는 하이브리드 AVR을 제안한다. 개발된 하이브리드 AVR의 경우 부하에 따른 전압 변동이 1[%] 이내로 안정적이며, 전압 안정률도 개선되었다. 또한 아날로그 AVR 수준의 빠른 시정수를 나타내었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해서 개발된 하이브리드 AVR은 산업현장에서 다양한 용도의 전원공급장치로 활용될 수 있다.

유역특성(流域特性)과 홍수도달시간(洪水到達時間)과의 상관해석(相關解析) (Analysis on Relations between Travel time and Watershed Characteristics)

  • The purpose of this study is to inquire and analyse the relation between traveltime (Tc) and watetshed physical characteristics surveyed such as river length (L), Lea, river main slope (s), base length of time area diagram, and storage constant (k). The results obtained in this study are as follows. The average widths of watersheds were with the range from 4.6 kilometers to 16.7 kilometers. The shape factors of main stream ranged from 0.08 to 0.37. The average slopes to main 8tream were within the range of 1.7-5.5 meter per kilometer. The relation between the base length and traveltime from S. C. S. method, Rational method, and RZIHA+KRAVEN method were derived $Tc=0.524{\times}1.35^c$ (r=0.98), $Tc=0.628{\times}1.339^c$, (r=0.98), $Tc=0.667{\times}1.342^c$ (r=0.97). The base length of the time-area diagram (c) for the IUH was derived as $c=0.9(\frac{L.L_{ca}}{\sqrt{s}})^{0.35}$ and correlation coefficient was 0.98 which defined a high significance. The storage constant K, derived in this study was $K=8.32+0.0213{\frac{L}{\sqrt{s}}}$ with correlation coefficient (0.96). The relation between storage Constant and conventional formula were figured out $Tc=0.0003{\times}3.323^k$ (r=0.97). $Tc=0.00045{\times}3.268^k$ (r=0.99) and $Tc=0.0004{\times}3.26^k$ (r=0.963). The base length (c) and storage constant (k) of time-Area Diagram were very important parts that determined traveltime for flood events. In the estimate of travel time for predicting flood volume, the formula of $Tc=0.524{\times}1.35^c$ that would be available to apply the Nak - Dong river watershed area and homogeneous watershed characteristics was found.

  • In the paper we study the finite-time ruin probability in a general risk model with constant interest force, in which the claim sizes are pairwise quasi-asymptotically independent and arrive according to an arbitrary counting process, and the premium process is a general stochastic process. For the case that the claim-size distribution belongs to the consistent variation class, we obtain an asymptotic formula for the finite-time ruin probability, which holds uniformly for all time horizons varying in a relevant infinite interval. The obtained result also includes an asymptotic formula for the infinite-time ruin probability.

  • This paper presents the time responses of calcium ($Ca^{2+}$) ion concentration of MG-63 cells induced by a constant shear stress in micro channel were observed in the real time. Most of cells have similar rising time. There were some time delays because of the initial position of the cell in the micro channel along the pressure-driven fluid flow. The concentration of $Ca^{2+}$ exponentially decreased while time constant of each profile did not have any relation to the peak value of concentration.

Time-varying Cointegration Models and Exchange Rate Predictability in Korea

  • We examine the validity of popular exchange rate models such as the purchasing power parity (PPP) hypothesis and the monetary model for Korean won/US dollar exchange rate. Various specification tests demonstrate that Korean data are more favorable for both models based on time-varying cointegration coefficients as compared to those based on constant cointegration coefficients. When the abilities to predict future exchange rates between those models based on time-varying cointegration coefficients are compared, an in-sample analysis shows that the time-varying PPP (monetary model) has better predictive power over horizons shorter (longer) than one year. Results from an out-of-sample analysis indicate that the time-varying PPP outperforms models based on constant cointegration coefficients when predicting future exchange rate changes in the long run.

지표투과레이더를 이용한 아스팔트 혼합물의 공극률 예측에 관한 연구 (Estimation of Air Voids in Asphalt Mixtures Using Ground-Penetrating Radar)

  • PURPOSES : The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between the dielectric characteristics of asphalt mixtures and the air voids present in them using ground penetrating radar (GPR) testing. METHODS : To measure the dielectric properties of the asphalt mixtures, the reflection coefficient method and the approach based on the actual thickness of the asphalt layer were used. An air-couple-type GPR antenna with a center frequency of 1 GHz was used to measure the time for reflection from the asphalt/base layer interface. A piece of aluminum foil was placed at the interface to be able to determine the reflection time of the GPR signal with accuracy. An asphalt pavement testbed was constructed, and asphalt mixtures with different compaction numbers were tested. After the GPR tests, the asphalt samples were cored and their thicknesses and number of air voids were measured in the laboratory. RESULTS : It was found the dielectric constant of asphalt mixtures tends to decrease with an increase in the number of air voids. The dielectric constant values estimated from the reflection coefficient method exhibited a slight correlation to the number of air voids. However, the dielectric constant values measured using the approach based on the actual asphalt layer thickness were closely related to the asphalt mixture density. Based on these results, a regression equation to determine the number of air voids in asphalt mixtures using the GPR test method was proposed. CONCLUSIONS : It was concluded that the number of air voids in an asphalt mixture can be calculated based on the dielectric constant of the mixture as determined by GPR testing. It was also found that the number of air voids was exponentially related to the dielectric constant, with the coefficient of determination, $R^2$, being 0.74. These results suggest that the dielectric constant as determined by GPR testing can be used to improve the construction quality and maintenance of asphalt pavements.

  • Finite automation is a mathematical model to represent a system with discrete inputs and outputs. Finite automata are a useful tool for solving problems such as text editor, lexical analyzer, and switching circuit. In this paper, given a deterministic finite automaton of an input string of length n and m states, we propose a constant time parallel algorithm that represents the transition states of finite automata and determines the acceptance of an input string on a reconfigurable mesh of size [nm/2]$\times$2m.

  • Consider a natural model for stochastic flow systems is Brownian motion, which is Brownian motion on the positive real line with constant drift and constant diffusion coefficient, modified by an impenetrable reflecting barrier at $x_{0}$. In this paper, we investigate the joint distribution functions and study on the distribution of the first-passage time. Also we find out the distribution of ${\mu}-RBMPx_{0}$.
