  • 최적의 회전기계 시스템을 설계하기 위해서는 시스템의 운전특성에 적합한 제어링이 선정$\cdot$설계되어져야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 회전 기계에 사용되는 베어링의 운전특성을 잘 예측하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 대형 틸팅패드 저어널베어링은 고속안정성 특성이 우수한 베어링으로서 터빈발전기 등 대형 고속 회전기계에 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만, 틸팅패드 저어널베어링은 구조가 복잡하고 경계조건 선정이 까다로와서, 동 베어링에 대하여 여러 논문들이 발표되어 왔지만, 대부분의 결과들이 특정한 가정을 이용하여 정성적인 경향만 제시하고 있다. 다라서 대형 틸팅패드 저어널베어링의 보다 엄밀한 성능예측을 위해서는 실제 운전조건에 적합한 경계조건을 제시하기 위한 실험적 연구가 우선적으로 요구되고 있다. 본 실험 연구에서는 대형 틸팅패드 저어널베어링에서 선단압력 발생에 대하여 실험적으로 관찰함으로써 동 베어링의 성능에 미치는 선단압력의 효과와 압력 및 무부하측패드의 거동에 대한 경계조건을 실험적으로 제시하고자 한다.

  • Most turbo machines, which operate at high speeds, such as gas turbines, jet engines, pumps, and compressors are prone to perrturbing vibrations. The best vibration control method for rotors is to eliminate destabilizing factors. Careful balancing application of "more stable" oil-lubricated bearing, such as tilting pad bearings or use of anti-swirl devices in seals, are examplse of passive vibration control methods. the use of magnetic bearing is an active control method. An obvious advantage of active control is that it provides damping (or modifies system stiffness or other parameters) only when there is a need for that, i.e., in emergency states, while not affecting the rotor normal operational conditions. Moreover, active control methods provide exact position control through on-line control. In this study, a magnetic actuator, digital contrliier using DSP, and bipolar operational power supply/amplifiers were developed to show the effectiveness of reducing robot vibration. Also the curve fitting procedure to obtain the transfer function of frequency dependent component was developed. Results presented in this dissertation will provide a well-defined technical parameters in designing magnetic damper system.er system.

  • The microbolometer array sensor with fine pitch pixel array has been implemented to the released amorphous silicon layer supported by two contact pads. For the design of focal plane mirror with geometrical flatness, the simple beam test structures were fabricated and characterized. As the beam length decreased, the effect of beam width on the bending was minimized, Mirror deformation of focal plane in a real pixel showed downward curvature by residual stress of a-Si and Ti layer. The mirror tilting was caused by the mis-align effect of contact pad and confirmed by FEA simulation results. The properties of bolometer have been measured as such that the NETD 145 mK, the TCR -2 %/K, and thermal time constant 1.99 ms.

  • 발전기에 직류 전압을 인가하는 여자제어 시스템(exciter)은 여자 방식에 따라 간접 여자 방식과 직접 여자 방식으로 분류할 수 있다. 그러나 여자제어 시스템의 세계적인 추세는 직접 여자 방식을 채택하고 있으며, 기존의 설치된 간접 여자 방식도 직접 여자 방식으로의 교체를 추진하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에는 500 MW 발전기의 간접 여자제어 시스템을 직접 여자제어 시스템으로의 교체를 위해 수행된 축계 진동해석과 설계 검토 사례를 소개코자 한다. Steady 베어링의 설치 여부를 위한 설계 기준은 축계 진동해석 결과에 바탕을 두고 있으며 steady 베어링의 선정에는 안정성을 이유로 tilting pad 베어링을 선택하였다. 해석 결과를 바탕으로 실제 축계를 설계, 제작하여 운전한 결과 양호한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • In-situ bearing metal temperature and shaft vibration are measured for an unload type and a preload type, m=0.87, of vertical guide bearing for hydraulic pump-turbines. Guide bearing is a tiltingpad type journal bearing consisting of eight pads whose diameter is 1,450 mm. Rotational speed is 450 rpm. Both the bearing metal temperature and the shaft vibration are very high in the unload type but are slight in the preload type, comparatively. The bearing metal temperature is decreased due to the increase of cooling effect by the increase of preload and the shaft vibration is decreased due to the increase of bearing stiffness. It is concluded that the preload effect of a guide bearing for hydraulic pump-turbines has a large influence on the bearing metal temperature and the shaft vibration.

  • 대형 틸팅패드 저어널베어링은 고속안정성 특성이 우수한 베어링으로서 시스템의 안정성이 매우 중요시되는 터빈발전기 등 대형 고속 회전기계에 많이 사용되고 있다. 그런데 이들 대형 저어널베어링에서는 유막의 온도상승이 매우 많고, 유체의 흐름이 거의 난류영역에 이르기 때문에 베어링의 운전특성을 정확하게 예측하기가 어려운 실정이다. Hopf & Schuler는 대형 틸팅패드 저어널베어링에 대한 실험적 연구에서 유동상태에 따라 베어링의 온도분포가 서로 달라진다고 발표하였다. 대형 틸팅패드 저어널베어링은 구조적으로 유동상태가 복잡할 뿐만 아니라 계산과정도 까다로운 편이어서 온도상승과 난류를 고려하여 엄밀하게 운전특성을 예측한 연구는 거의 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대형 틸팅패드 저어널베어리으이 운전특성을 보다 엄밀하게 예측하기 위하여 3차원 적으로 유막의 점도변화 및 패드에서의 열전달을 고려하고, 와점성계수를 이용한 난류윤활이론을 사용하여 유막의 온도상승 및 난류가 베어링의 온도분포, 부하능력, 마찰손실 등의 운전특성에 미치는 영햐을 보다 엄밀하게 제시하고자 한다.

A Study on the Dynamic Modeling of a Hydrostatic Table (유정압 테이블의 동적 Modeling에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a 3-DOF(Degree Of Freedom) rigid body model is developed for dynamic analysis of a hydrostatic table. The dynamic coefficients, stiffness and damping constant of each pad are calculated from the mass flow continuity condition. The validity of this model is examined in theoretical and experimental method. The dynamic behavior when mass unbalances and local variations of stiffness and damping of pads present is analyzed for real applications of hydrostatic table. Since the theoretical and experimental results show goof agreement. it can be said that the 3-DOF rigid body model is useful for the dynamic model of the table. The analysis reveals that the pitching motion is the dominant mode of vibration, It also reveals that unbalanced loads can increase amplitude of tilting motion and reduce natural frequencies and damping capacity of the hydrostatic table.

  • Experiment on the modal balancing of a flexible rotor supported on two kinds of fluid film bearings is performed to verify the modal balancing theory. The fluid film bearings are a tilting pad bearing and a two axial grooved journal bearing. One is inherently stable, but the other is not. The experimental result shows that the modal balancing method is effective for balancing of a high speed flexible rotor system. Besides, the critical speeds and mode shapes measured experimentally are in good coincidence with the results of rotordynamic analysis. Oil whip, which is the instability phenomenon due to fluid film force, is also observed during the experiment.

  • The existing axial piston pump/motors of swash plate type rapidly drop efficiency in high speed region in comparison with low speed. This is the reason why the pump/motors were designed only in a view point of power supply. But, in this paper, the motor which was optimally designed on power supply load capacitancy, flow loss volume, axial stiffness and tiliting stiffness keeps up high efficiency in high speed region and in high pressure resion too.

  • It is needed to use the beam scanning to control the cell coverage of the base station considering operation conditions, season, time period, radiation character and mobility of customers and vehicles for varied wireless communication service and quality improvement. This paper proposes a mobile antenna system which can obtain the characteristics of the beam scanning by controlling the directivity depending on the operation condition. Radiation block is made of 2 sub-array of $1\times3$ patched antennas for ITS of 5.8GHZ bandwidth with the gain of 13dBi, and of 2 sub-array of single patched antenna for WiBro of 2.3GHZ bandwidth with the gain of 12dBi. RF module is made of a switch, an amplifier, a PAD, a 3-Bit phase shifter, and a power divider. The system is able to control the beam tilting with electronic methode by using 3-bit phase shifter$(45^{\circ},\;90^{\circ},\;180^{\circ})$.
