드릴공구의 이종질화막상 DLC 희생층 적용을 통한 공구 수명 개선 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Tool's Life by Applying DLC Sacrificial Layer on Nitride Hard Coated Drill Tools)

  • Non-ferrous metals, widely used in the mechanical industry, are difficult to machine, particularly by drilling and tapping. Since non-ferrous metals have a strong tendency to adhere to the cutting tool, the tool life is greatly deteriorated. Diamond-like carbon (DLC) is one of the promising candidates to improve the performance and life of cutting tool due to their low frictional property. In this study, a sacrificial DLC layer is applied on the hard nitride coated drill tool to improve the durability. The DLC coatings are fabricated by controlling the acceleration voltage of the linear ion source in the range of 0.6~1.8 kV. As a result, the optimized hardness(20 GPa) and wear resistance(1.4 x 10-8 ㎣/N·m) were obtained at the 1.4 kV. Then, the optimized DLC coating is applied as an sacrificial layer on the hard nitride coating to evaluate the performance and life of cutting tool. The Vickers hardness of the composite coatings were similar to those of the nitride coatings (AlCrN, AlTiSiN), but the friction coefficients were significantly reduced to 0.13 compared to 0.63 of nitride coatings. The drilling test were performed on S55C plate using a drilling machine at rotation speed of 2,500 rpm and penetration rate of 0.25 m/rev. The result showed that the wear width of the composite coated drills were 200 % lower than those of the AlCrN, AlTiSiN coated drills. In addition, the cutting forces of the composite coated drills were 13 and 15 % lower than that of AlCrN, AlTiSiN coated drills, respectively, as it reduced the aluminum clogging. Finally, the application of the DLC sacrificial layer prevents initial chipping through its low friction property and improves drilling quality with efficient chip removal.

  • Titanium alloy has been in the spotlight as a core material in high-tech industries that require high strength and light weight because it has excellent strength and corrosion resistance and strength is higher than that of steel. Therefore, in various industries, existing steel products are intended to be replaced with titanium alloys. Titanium alloys can cause cutting tool breakage during cutting, and heat generated during cutting does not dissipate, accumulates in tools and workpieces, resulting in large wear and tear on thin workpieces. In addition, since titanium alloy is a metal with high chemical activity, the wear of the tool becomes more severe when the cutting speed is high, so machining of titanium bolt through cutting is very disadvantageous in terms of productivity. Therefore, the production of bolts using titanium alloys is being produced through a forging process to improve productivity and product quality. In this paper, hot forging molding analysis was performed on bolts used for fastening automobile parts using Ti-6Al-4V alloy, which is the most commonly used titanium alloy.

RF magnetron sputtering법에 의해 제조된 $\textrm{SrBi}_{2}\textrm{Ta}_{2}\textrm{O}_{9}$박막의 강유전 특성에 관한 연구 (Ferroelectric Properties $\textrm{SrBi}_{2}\textrm{Ta}_{2}\textrm{O}_{9}$ Thin Films Deposited by RF Magnetron Sputtering Technique)

  • FRAM(Ferroelectric Random Access memory)에의 응용을 위해 rf magnetron sputtering법을 이용하여 SrB $i_{2}$T $a_{2}$ $O_{9}$(SBT)박막을 증착하였다. 사용된 기판은 Pt/Ti/Si $o_{2}$Si이었으며 50$0^{\circ}C$에서 증착한 후 80$0^{\circ}C$의 산소 분위기 하에서 1시간 동안 열처리하였다. 증착시 증착 압력을 변화시켜 가면서 이에 따른 특성의 변화를 고찰하였다. 박막내의 Bi와 Sr의 부족을 보상하기 위해 20mole%의 Bi $O_{2}$와 30mole%의 SrC $O_{3}$를 과잉으로 넣어 타겟을 제조후 사용하였고 박막들의 두께는 300nm의 두께를 가지며 증착압력에 따라 다른 미세 구조르 보였다. 10mtorr에서 증착한 박막의 조성은 S $r_{0.6}$B $i_{3.8}$Ta/ sub 2.0/ $O_{9.0}$이었다. 이 SBT 박막의 잔류 분극(2 $P_{r}$)과 보전계(2 $E_{c}$)값은 각각 인가 전압 5V에서 18.5 $\mu%C/$\textrm{cm}^2$과 150kV/cm이었고, signal/noise비는 3V에서 4.6을 나타내었다. 5V의 bipolar pulse하에서 $10^{10}$cycle까지 피로 현상이 나타나지 않았으며, 누설 전류 밀도는 133kV/cm에서 약 1x$10^{-7A}$$\textrm{cm}^2$의 값을 보였다.을 보였다.

Sol-Gel 방법에 의한 BST 박막의 표면 및 전기적 특성 (The Surface and Electrical Properties of BST Thin Films Prepared by Sol-Gel Method)

  • Recently, thin film capacitors of high dielectric constant and low leakage current are applied to integrated devices. In this study, (Ba, Sr)$TiO_3$ (BST) thin films for low cost were prepared by Sol-Gel method. BST solution was spin-coated on Pt/$SiO_2$/Si substrate at 4,000 rpm for 10 seconds. Coating process was repeated 3 times and then sintered at $700^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. Structural and electrical characteristics of each specimen were analyzed by TG-DTA, SEM, fractal phenomenon, voltage-current and dielectric factor. Thickness of BST ceramics thin films are about 2,600~2,800 ${\AA}$ at depositing 3 times. Dielectric constant of thin films was decreased in 1 kHz~1 MHz. Dielectric constant and loss to frequency were 250 and 0.02 in $(Ba_{0.7}Sr_{0.3})TiO_3$ (BST3). Leakage current of BST3 was $10^{-9}\sim10^{-11}$/ A under 3 V.

  • 1mm-thick BLT ceramics were sintered in accordance with a bulk ceramic fabrication process. All XRD peaks detected in the sintered ceramics were indexed as the Bi-layered perovskite structure without secondary phases. Density was increased with increasing the sintering temperature up to $1050\;^{\circ}C$ and the maximum value was about 98% of the theoretical density. The remanent polarization (2Pr) value of BLT ceramic sintered at $1050\;^{\circ}C$ was approximately $6.5\;{\mu}C/cm^2$ at the applied voltage of 4.5kV. From these results, a BLT ceramic target for plused laser deposition (PLD) system was successfully fabricated.

전외 액츄에이터용 PBZT 세라믹스의 $WO_3$ 첨가에 따른 특성 (Characteristics of PBZT Ceramics for Electrostrictive Actuator according to $WO_3$)

  • To improve the electro-induced strain and to decease the hysteresis of that W $O_3$dopant of which amount is 0~0.8wt% was added to (P $b_{0.73}$/B $a_{0.27}$)(Z $r_{0.75}$/ $Ti_{0.25}$) $O_3$+0.1wt% $Y_{2}$/ $O_3$ceramics. At the specimen with 0.4 wt% W $O_3$the electromechanical coupling coefficient( $K_{31}$ ) showed the maximum value of 23.6% at D.C 10 kV/cm electric field. At the same W $O_3$addition amount the piezoelectric constant( $d_{31}$ ) and the electro-induced strain($\Delta$$\ell$/$\ell$)showed the highest values of 182$\times$10$^{-12}$ [C/N] 210$\times$10$^{-6}$ $\Delta$$\ell$/$\ell$at D.C. 10 kV/cm electric field. respectively0 kV/cm electric field. respectivelyvely.

수소저장합금을 이용한 열수송시스템 제어기술 연구 (Study on the control technique for the heat transportation system using metal hydride)

  • 현재 증기나 온수에 의한 열수송은 배관을 통하여 열손실 및 마찰손실 등이 발생하므로 수송거리는 3 내지 5km가 한계이다. 그러나 대부분의 공단이 도시지역에서 10km 이상 떨어져 있으므로 이들 지역에서 발생되는 폐열을 적절히 활용하기 위해서는 새로운 열수송 시스템이 개발되어야 한다. 수소저장합금은 수소를 흡수 또는 방출하면서 발열반응과 흡열반응을 일으키는 특성을 가지고 있으므로 산업공단지역의 폐열로부터 수소저장합금의 수소를 방출시키고, 이 수소를 인근 도시지역에 파이프라인으로 수송한 후 필요시 또 다른 수소저장합금과 반응시켜 열을 얻을 수 있다. 이 시스템에서는 난방의 목적 외에도 수소의 흡수 방출온도가 낮은 합금을 이용하여 냉열을 얻을 수도 있다. 따라서 수소저장합금은 폐열의 저장이나 열수송의 수단으로 활용할 수 있다. $MmNi_{4.5}Al_{0.5}Zr_{0.003}$, $LaNi_5$, $Zr_{0.9}Ti_{0.1}Cr_{0.6}Fe_{1.4}$, $MmNi_{4.7}Al_{0.1}Fe_{0.1}V_{0.1}$ 합금들이 열수송에 적합한 합금으로 선정되어 그 특성을 검토하였으며, 열수송시스템의 설계 및 제어기술에 대하여 검토하였다.

대전 3, 4 공단지역의 미세분진에 대한 화학적 특성과 오염원 연구 (Chemical characteristics and sources of fine ambient particulate matter from the third and fourth industrial complex area of Daejeon city, Korea)

  • 대전시 3, 4 공단지역의 대기 중 미세분진을 대상으로 기기 중성자방사화분석법을 이용하여 유해금속을 포함한 약 27종의 미량원소를 분석하였다. 원소분석에 대한 정확도를 평가하기 위해 NIST SRM 2783(air particulate on filter media)을 사용하여 동일한 조건에서 분석한 결과, Sb, Mn, V, Mg, Na, K, Ti, Co, Zn, Sm은 상대오차 5% 이내의 매우 정확한 분석결과를 보였고 Cr, Fe, Ba, Th, Ce, Al, Cu는 10% 이내로 나타났다. 유해금속인 As, Mn, Se, V, Zn의 농도는 각각 $3.26{\pm}2.72$, $9.86{\pm}4.71$, $2.18{\pm}1.25$, $4.91{\pm}2.41$, $158{\pm}78ng/m^3$로 나타났고 인자분석 결과 연구대상지역의 미세분진에 대한 오염원은 6개로 추정되었다.

The Structural and Electrical Properties of NiCr Alloy for the Bottom Electrode of High Dielectric(Ba,Sr)Ti O3(BST) Thin Films

  • NiCr alloys are prepared onto poly-Si/ $SiO_2$/Si substrates to replace Pt bottom electrode with a new one for integration of high dielectric constant materials. Alloys deposited at Ni and Cr power of 40 and 40 W showed optimum properties in the composition of N $i_{1.6}$C $r_{1.0}$. The grain size of films increases with increasing deposition temperature. The films deposited at 50$0^{\circ}C$ showed a severe agglomeration due to homogeneous nucleation. The NiCr alloys from the rms roughness and resistivity data showed a thermal stability independent of increasing annealing temperature. The 80 nm thick BST films deposited onto N $i_{1.6}$C $r_{1.0}$/poly-Si showed a dielectric constant of 280 and a dissipation factor of about 5 % at 100 kHz. The leakage current density of as-deposited BST films was about 5$\times$10$^{-7}$ A/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at an applied voltage of 1 V. The NiCr alloys are possible to replace Pt bottom electrode with new one to integrate f3r high dielectric constant materials.terials.

  • A novel ozonizer has been developed using a high frequence surface discharge and a high purity ceramic as its dielectric component. And A cylindrical thin compound ceramic catalyst in reactor is adhered to inside of the film-like outside electrode. An ac exciting voltage with frequency to 0.6 kHz from 1.0 kHz and $4{\sim}6$ kV of peak-to-peak is applied between the electrodes to produce a stable high-frequency silent discharge for generation of ozone. A substantial reduction of the exciting voltage is also enabled by using a thin ceramic. As a result, the ozonizer can easily produce ozone concentration(50 $g/m^3$ for oxygen) and power efficiency(240 g/kWh for oxygen) without using a special enrichment means.
