보조동력장치 회전자 유동 및 출력특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow and Power Characteristics of Rotor in the APU)

  • Recently, Use of Auxiliary power unit(APU) is increasing by growing demand for improvement of insufficient electric power and installation of emergency generation devices in military tracked vehicles and civil markets. And the trend is that the units are demanded for smaller size, lighter weight and higher output power, etc to suit consumer demands. To achieve these, it is essential to develop high performance system. Therefore, in this study, it was conducted in numerical analysis to investigate flow characteristics of rotor in APU generator. Also output performance of APU applied on the rotor is analyzed by experimental method. As the result, higher rotating speed of rotor caused high air flow rate at suction and it leads to linear increase of discharging flow rate. The maximum theoretical power was achieved at 12 $m^3$/min of flow rate and, at that time, output power of generator was about 7.825 kW. Also, it can be confirmed the stabilization of output performance is achieved in about 2 seconds by experiment.

  • A numerical model has been proposed for a diffusion flame reactor to manufacture ultrafine $TiO_2$ powders. The model equations such as mass balance equation, the 0th, 1st, and 2nd moment equations of aerosols were considered. The phenomena such as $TiCl_4$ reaction rate, $TiO_2$ nucleation rate and the coagulation of $TiO_2$ powders were included in the aerosol dynamic equation. It is found that the $TiO_2$ particle concentration becomes higher, as the inlet $TiCl_4$ concentration and the total gas flow rate increase, and also as the flame temperature decreases. The $TiO_2$ particle size increases, as the flame temperature and the inlet $TiCl_4$ concentration increase and the total gas flow rate decreases.

Flow performance of cryomodules in C-ADS Injector II

  • Two β=0.10 cryomodules are required for the China Accelerator Driven Subcritical System (C-ADS) injector II accelerator. Flow design is of great importance in the performance of cryomodules, including thermal design, flow distribution, pressure drop and so on. This paper will study convection heat transfer of helium and relation among the pipe diameter, mass flow rate and Reynolds number. Furthermore, the influence of flow geometries on pressure drop and flow distribution will also be done. It was found that the theoretical flow distribution were in good agreement with the experimental data.

중공사 막을 따라 흐르는 순수한 물의 유량, 압력손실, 투과수에 대한 실험과 이론적 고찰 (Experimental and Theoretical Consideration for Flow Rate, Pressure Drop, and Permeate Flow in a Hollow Fiber Membrane)

  • 본 연구에서는 지름이 일정한 하나의 직선 관형 막을 가정하여 그 단위구간의 투과속도에 대한 물질수지를 세웠으며 이것을 기초로 하여 파이프의 정상상태 식과 함께 비선형 연립 2차 미분방정식을 이루었다. 이러한 관형 막의 압력손실을 표현한 연립방정식은 비선형이므로 Gauss-Seidel method와 같은 반복법에 의해서 해결될 수 있다. 이러한 수치해를 나타내기 위해 모사 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 또한 투과수는 운전 조건의 변화에 따라 변하므로 각 조건에서의 연립 방정식의 해를 수치적으로 적분하여 해결하였다. 모사의 결과를 검증, 해석하기 위해서 실제 중공사막과 유사한 관형 막을 사용하여 실험을 진행하였다. 본 연구에서는 중공사막을 유체가 흐를 때 발생하는 압력손실, 유량, 그리고 투과수의 관계를 분석적 방법을 이용해 제시하였고 이러한 이론적 기초를 바탕으로 실제 기공을 가진 막에 적용하여 그 정확성을 실험을 통하여 비교하였다.

  • In this study, we investigated the theoretical and experimental study for separation of solid-liquid suspensions of water and fine particles using acoustic standing wave. When the acoutic force was not applied, the separation efficiency was decreased as flow rate was increased. When it was applied, the separation efficiency was maintained over 95%.

  • The internal reflux effect on dialysis through the retentate phase of a countercurrently cross-flow rectangular module is investigated. Theoretical analysis of mass transfer in cross-flow devices with or without recycling is analogous to heat transfer in cross-flow heat exchangers. In contrast to a device without reflux, considerable mass transfer is achievable if cross-flow dialyzers are operated with reflux, which provides an increase in fluid velocity, resulting in a reduction in mass-transfer resistance. It is concluded that reflux can enhance mass transfer, especially for large flow rate and feed-concentration operated under high reflux ratio.

  • In this paper, the relation between displacement of piezoelectric disk and electric field was proposed. From Navier-Stokes equation and Reynold's equation, the relation between flow and gap of plate was determined. This models were further verified by experiments. Based on theoretical study and experimental verification, the proposed model between flow rate and voltage can be used in the design of mass flow controller in gas supplying system.

초음파를 이용한 기체 유동장내 분진 모니터링 (Particle Monitoring Using Ultrasound in the Gas Flow)

  • The particle amount monitoring technique using ultrasound is proposed to determine the proper maintenance time of the filter in the supply process of pure gas in the unit of oxygen plant. There are advantages that it is adaptable in high temperature and high pressure, and it is not disturbed by being exposed in the gas flow, and it can be implemented very economically. The applicability of the ultrasonic technique is pre-studied through the theoretical analysis for the dependency of attenuation of ultrasonic wave on the particles in the gas flow. For the purpose, absorption, scattering and dispersion models are considered, and the attenuation by absorption and the change rate of the propagation speed are calculated fur the specific range of particle size and the ultrasonic wave frequency. It was expected by simulation that the absorptive attenuation by particles was the most sensitive to the change of particle amount. The experimental result showed high correspondence with the theoretical expectation so that this ultrasound attenuation measurement was proved to be highly effective for monitoring the amount of floating particles in the gas flow.

Constitutive Equations for Dilute Bubble Suspensions and Rheological Behavior in Simple Shear and Uniaxial Elongational Flow Fields

  • A theoretical model is proposed in order to investigate rheological behavior of bubble suspension with large deformation. Theoretical constitutive equations for dilute bubble suspensions are derived by applying a deformation theory of ellipsoidal droplet [1] to a phenomenological suspension theory [2]. The rate of deformation tensor within the bubble and the time evolution of interface tensor are predicted by applying the proposed constitutive equations, which have two free fitting parameters. The transient and steady rheological properties of dilute bubble suspensions are studied for several capillary numbers (Ca) under simple shear flow and uniaxial elongational flow fields. The retraction force of the bubble caused by the interfacial tension increases as bubbles undergo deformation. The transient and steady relative viscosity decreases as Ca increases. The normal stress difference (NSD) under the simple shear has the largest value when Ca is around 1 and the ratio Of the first NSD to the second NSD has the value of 3/4 for large Ca but 2 for small Ca. In the uniaxial elongational flow, the elongational viscosity is three times as large as the shear viscosity like the Newtonian fluid.

실험(實驗)과 FEM기법(技法)을 사용(使用)하여 구(求)한 침투유량(浸透流量)의 비교(比較) (Comparison of Seepage Quantity Calculated by Experiments and Finite Element Method)

  • 본(本) 논문(論文)은 제체(堤體)의 중앙심벽형(中央心壁型) model을 제작(製作)해서 상류측(上流側) 각(各) 수위(水位)의 변화(變化)에 대한 침투유량(浸透流量)을 실험(實驗)을 통하여 구하고, 이 때의 침윤선형상(浸潤線形狀)과 Equipotential line에 대하여도 고찰(考察)한 것이다. 또한 실험(實驗)에서 얻은 자료(資料)를 FEM기법(技法)을 사용하여 구한 유선망(流線網)의 각요소별(各要素別) Flow-rate에 대한 유속(流速)과 침투유량(浸透流量)을 실험치(實驗値)와 근사리론공식(近似理論公式)에서 산출(算出)된 값과 비교검토(比較檢討)하였다. 침투수량(浸透水量)은 고수위시(高水位時)에서는 실험치(實驗値)보다 FEM 값이 적게 나타났으며, 저수위시(低水位時)에는 거의 비슷한 값이었다. 그리고, 유선망(流線網)이 형성(形成)된 각(各) 요소별(要素別) Flow-rate 는 X, Z 축(軸)은 수위변화(水位變化)가 있어 흐름에 따른 유속(流速)이 크나 Y 축(軸)의 유속(流速)은 무시할 수 있을 정도의 적은 값이었다.
