  • To understand spatiotemporal changes of temperature and humidity in Lentimula edodes cultivation sheds, temperature, relative humidity were measured with HOBO H8 series sensors in log cultivation sheds and sawdust cultivation sheds. The results obtained from October in 2003 to October in 2004 were as follows; 1. Horizontal temperature changes were smaller at center of cultivation shed inside than comer of cultivation shed inside, while relative humidity changes were greater about 3% at center of cultivation shed inside than corner of cultivation shed inside. 2. Vertical temperature changes showed that the temperature was higher at above than at below when the temperature rises, while the temperature was lower at above than at below when the temperature falls. Thus close to soil surface temperature showed a little fluctuation. Vertical relative humidity changes showed that the relative humidity was lower at above than at below when the temperature rises, while the relative humidity was higher at above than at below when the temperature falls. After all temperature and relative humidity was the opposite in cultivation shed. 3. It's showed in log cultivation shed that the minimum temperature was a subzero temperature until the end of April, while the minimum temperature did above zero after the beginning of the May. Besides a winter was the greatest at daily temperature range during the four season, about $30^{\circ}C$. On the other hand the minimum relative humidity was less than 20% at April, May and June but more than 40% after May.

  • Enclosures for CCTV internal short circuit are prevented due to wetting to maintain a constant humidity and temperature, to avoid condensation due to temperature difference, a constant temperature and humidity requirements of the equipment, such as high-temperature resistant and a constant temperature of the structure, degree of energy utilization is optimized for developing this corresponding housing automatic control system and humidity is required. Device being an expensive imaging equipment in side of the enclosure according to the temperature conversion from a hazard protection, there is a need for a constant temperature and humidity control apparatus that can prevent a short-circuit failure. This is a system in which the accessory device is absolutely required for the storage and transmission of an image in recording reliability and field conditions.

  • The influence of temperature and relative humidity in infection and cross-infection of Nosema bombycis and N. mylitta respectively in mulberry silkworm, Bombyx mori L. on larval mortality, multiplication of pathogens, larval weight and growth rate in three different seasons were studied. Seasons were selected in such condition, when very less fluctuations between minimum and maximum temperature and minimum and maximum relative humidity ($25{\sim}28^{\circ}C$ and $65{\sim}72%$ R.H) was observed i.e., season-1. Fluctuations between minimum and maximum temperature were less ($28.05{\sim}34.50^{\circ}C$) but R.H % was more ($55{\sim}81%$) in season-2. Fluctuations between minimum and maximum temperature and R.H % were more ($20.00{\sim}40.5^{\circ}C$ and $64.00{\sim}90.00%$) in season-3. Growth rate of microsporidian-infected silkworm is directly related to the prevailing temperature and relative humidity in silkworm. Silkworm can tolerate slight variation of temperature but slight variation of relative humidity disfavours the development of silkworm and favours the multiplication of pathogens.

  • In order to keep a characteristic corrugated fibreboard of fruits and flowers, temperature and humidity change of corrugated fibreboard are analyzed. According to relative humidity rises at fixed temperature, bursting strength of corrugated fibreboard was fallen and double wall corrugated fibreboard appeared greatly the bursting strength decline rate than double faced corrugated fibreboard and edgewise compressive strength of paper more than humidity 80% in rapidly fall. A column crush test of paper became decrease in the high temperature and ordinary temperature strength did over humidity 70% rapidly fallen and strength decrease happened by low temperature 80% slowly fallen and later rapidly. According to ISO standard temperature humidity conditioning (23$\pm$2 , 50$\pm$2%) change, pulp composition difference as to the ring crush strength of a physical strength and generally compare to KS standard increased 5∼8% for the compressive strength, and wet strength reagent was increased 4% inside and out.

  • A highly stable quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) that showed a stability of frequencies and exhibited a very low noise level has been developed. The long-term drift was <0.05 Hz/h over a period of 10 h, and the short-term rms (root mean square) noise was <0.015 Hz. Our QCM sensor was used as a humidity sensor employing a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) polymer film as a hygroscopic layer, which showed good characteristics in the relative humidity (RH) range of $2{\sim}90%$ RH. Comparing the characteristics of the QCM sensor with those of other types of humidity sensors employing PMMA film as a hygroscopic layer, and with other QCM sensors employing other hygroscopic layers is represented.

  • Humidity is an important physical quantity that is closely related with the quality of everyday life as well as the quality control of products in various industries. Here, we have developed a divided-flow type humidity generator of which humidity generation is faster than the saturator-based humidity generator in ppm level. The operation principle of the divided-flow humidity generator is first introduced. Then, the performance of the divided-flow humidity generator is verified by testing the radiosonde humidity sensor at low temperature. As a result, the humidity generated from the divided-flow humidity generator is consistent with the saturator-based precision humidity generator within 1.6% relative humidity in the range from 10% to 40% at -45 ℃. It is also found that the radiosonde humidity sensor shows measurement errors by 3% - 5% at -45 ℃ when it is only calibrated at room temperature. The response times of radiosonde humidity sensor using the divided-flow humidity generator are between about 2 and 9 minutes, whereas those by the saturator-based humidity generator are about 20 minutes. In this regard, the divided-flow humidity generator has a merit in terms of fast humidity changes for the calibration of radiosonde humidity sensors at low-temperatures.

  • The apartment buildings were hard to emission of water vapor by reduced infiltration. The purpose of this study was to investigate the generation of indoor temperature and humidity in the recent construction of small size apartment buildings. The temperature and humidity were measured in 3 apartments in Seongnam and Daejeon city. During the winter indoor temperature and relative humidity were measured ranged from 20 to $24^{\circ}C$ and 40 to 60%. Generated humidity caused by various characteristics of the residents, rather than external influences. Compare daytime (6:00 to 22:00) and nighttime (22:00 to 6:00), the temperature is low and absolute humidity is high at nighttime. Condensation is likely to occur at nighttime. Using the cumulative relative frequency and absolute humidity, small apartments design criteria (temperature, relative humidity) can be set.
