  • A metal sheath provides a cable with electrostatic screening and a degree of magnetic screening. The presence of a screen on a cable also reduces the induction arising from the high-frequency components of transients caused by power-line switching and also induced transients from lightning strokes; such transient induced voltages are of increasing importance with the increasing use of miniaturized telecommunication equipment with very small thermal capacity. This paper describes electrostatic induction and electromagnetic induction caused by power interference. Also screening factors are proposed.

  • This paper describes 256k (256K ${\times}$1) CMOS SRAM utilizing 1.2um double-polysilicon and double-metal CMOS process. A typical access time of 16ns with a 30-pF load has been achieved through the use of a block architecture, a new decoder, an unique bit-line scheme and an optimized process. Operating current is 55mA at 40MHz and 15mA at 10MHz. A high-resistive polysilicon load has been used to achieve a standby current of 3uA.

  • This paper represents analysis on domestic technical regulation of high speed power line communications(PLC). Also it gives comparison of regulations for several countries which include U.S., Europe, and Japan. Power line communications radiates harmful interference in below 30MHz. This may intervene other radio equipments. The technical regulation must protect interference and provide clean radio environment. Finally this paper gives the proposal which is drafted by field tests for introducing high speed PLC.

  • 본 논문은 고속 전기철도 시설로 인해 가입자 통신선로에서 발생하는 전력유도에 대한 현상과 관련 규정 및 유도전압 측정 결과를 분석한 것이다. 전력유도 현상의 명확한 이해를 돕기 위하여 이론적 배경을 제시하였고, 국내 법규에서 이상시유도위험전압, 상시유도위험종전압, 기기오동작유도종전압, 잡음전압 등으로 구분되는 유도전압 중에서 공통모드 전압에 해당하는 상시유도위험종전압과 잡음평형도 평가에 필요한 선대지잡음전압 및 차동모드전압인 선간잡음전압을 우리나라 고시 측정방법에 따라 측정하였다. 측정을 위해 이격거리가 각각 약 20 m와 300 m인 2 km 길이의 통신선로를 설치하여 실험하였으며 측정된 유도전압의 변화 및 파형 특성 등을 비교, 분석함으로써 고속전철에 의한 통신선로 전력유도 현상을 고찰하고 현행 측정방법의 타당성을 검토하였다.

Complexity Reduction Algorithm of Speech Coder(EVRC) for CDMA Digital Cellular System

  • The standard of evaluating function of speech coder for mobile telecommunication can be shown in channel capacity, noise immunity, encryption, complexity and encoding delay largely. This study is an algorithm to reduce complexity applying to CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile telecommunication system, which has a benefit of keeping the existing advantage of telecommunication quality and low transmission rate. This paper has an objective to reduce the computing complexity by controlling the frequency band nonuniform during the changing process of LSP(Line Spectrum Pairs) parameters from LPC(Line Predictive Coding) coefficients used for EVRC(Enhanced Variable-Rate Coder, IS-127) speech coders. Its experimental result showed that when comparing the speech coder applied by the proposed algorithm with the existing EVRC speech coder, it's decreased by 45% at average. Also, the values of LSP parameters, Synthetic speech signal and Spectrogram test result were obtained same as the existing method.

  • 본 논문에서는 가입자 통신선로에서 발생하는 유도뢰 전압 측정을 통해 유도뢰 전압의 특징을 분석하고 첨두전압 크기, 파두장, 파미장, 파두장 상승율과 같은 파라미터를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 또한, 전국 여러 지역의 유도뢰 전압 발생 분포를 통계적으로 처리할 수 있는 유도 전압 측정 시스템을 개발하여 전국적인 측정을 통해 연도별, 계절별, 지역별 유도뢰 전압 분포를 분석하였다.

  • The Electromagnetic Interference could occur due to power line on the telecommunication service. The Countermeasure is practised by legal law. Various affecting factors are described in the law. In this paper, an effect by pipeline especially in the ground, power feeding plant, and curved railway sector is analyzed as environmental factors which are not included in the law. By the practical measurement, it appears that the measured voltages on the spots with underground pipeline are grouped into lower voltage level, induced voltage tends to be high near power feeding plant, and also in the curved railway line. These analytical results can be meaningly considered in the application of countermeasure.

  • In this paper, the interference in small MIMO antennas having two identical composite right- and left-handed transmission-line(CRLH-TL)-based radiating elements is remarkably decreased. The radiating element has the broadside-capacitive coupling as well as slots to be equivalent to the CRLH-TL to prevent the size from increasing for an LTE high band. The suspended line bridging the two radiating elements is optimized to lower the interference between them down to -23 dB, while the overall MIMO antenna system is compact and its antenna performance is acceptable. The design is tested for 2.5 GHz.

  • There were telecommunication noise and malfunctions of the electronic devices occurred over a wide area due to the high harmonic voltage and/or current levels of the Back-to-back converter in the DFIG wind power system even though the magnitude of all harmonics is within the international standards. The triangular carrier signals of the PWM used in the power converter system is related to the telecommunication noise because they are in the range of audible frequencies and amplified by a variety of the standing waves that were excited by harmonic voltage sources in the weak grid system such as a long distance distribution transmission lines. This paper describes the characteristics of the harmonics in the wind turbine-generator, numerical analysis and simulation of the harmonics resonance phenomena in the distribution lines as well as measuring induced voltage of the telecommunication lines in parallel with power lines in order to verify the root cause of the telecommunication noise. These noise problems can occur in a wind turbine power system with a non-linear converter at any time, as well as photovoltaic power system. So, the preliminary review of suitable filter devices and switching frequencies of the PWM have to be required by considering the stability of the controller at the design stage but as part of the measures the effect of the telecommunication cable shields was analyzed by comparing the measured data between multi-conductor with/without shields so as to attenuate the sources of the harmonics voltage induced into the telecommunication lines and to apply the most cost-effective measures in the field.
