  • Education and training of technical staff for the new generation technological equipment has a vital importance for developing countries in order to maintain sustainable development and keep up with new generation technologies. Mechatronics the synergistic combination of mechanical, electronic and software engineering from an engineering perspective to serve the purposes of controlling advanced hybrid systems is a product of new generation technology which can be given as a sample to this phenomenon. Recent marine engines are combination of heavy industry with high technology. Nowadays, ships are built in full automation and equipped with computer controlled mechatronics systems. However, finding qualified officer and engineers who can operate, maintain, control and repair when it is required such full automatic systems with knowledge of a new generation system became a serious issue. Due to importance of this fact STCW Manila amendment has new training and certification requirements for electro-technical officers. In this paper, Mechatronics applications on ship are introduced, importance of it highlighted and a new syllabus is proposed for the training of marine engineers to be nurtured with mechatronics knowledge as it is required.

  • The purpose of this study is to survey of specialists cognition to authorize credits for the same subjects in entering a department of the same area in college among technical high school graduates. Today with generalized college education, about 80% of technical high school graduates enter college. Therefore, authorization of credits for the same subjects is necessary to reduce educational waste in terms of articulation among technical high schools, junior colleges and universities. In this study, a survey was conducted with 100 specialists in technical education, including technical high school teachers, researchers, and professors at junior college or technical college in university, getting answers from 84 subjects (81.25%). The results of this research can be summarized as follows: First, it is valid to authorize credits for all practical subjects completed in technical high school when technical high school graduates enter the same department at college but most of junior college professor unsuitable response. Second, it is valid to authorize credits through its own prescribed test for the same subjects when technical high school graduates enter the same department of engineering at junior college or technical college in university but opposed 62.5% of junior college professor. Third, it is most of respondent valid to authorize credits for the same subjects if results of its own examination for authorization by university are at a fixed level or higher when technical high school graduates are admitted as a junior at the same department in technical college of university after graduation from the same department at junior college.

  • Intangibility, measurement difficulty and irreversibility, which are the characteristics of service, have such problems as obscurity and uncertainty in quality evaluation. Technical entrepreneurship education, a sort of public service, also contains such characteristics of service. To objectively evaluate the service quality of technical entrepreneurship education, this paper drew up factors as hierarchical structure, centered on FAHP technique, and conducted pre-processing, inputted those factors into triangular fuzzy number fuzzy judgement matrix, and calculated their weights. In this manner, this paper proposed a TESE system, through which an analysis can be conducted by drawing relative importance and priorities of the factors. The proposed system can efficiently evaluate the qualitative technical start-up education service quality factors quantitatively in the diversely changing technical start-up environment in view of the highest result quality (41%), which means performance in the relative importance of major factors. Namely, this paper confirmed that clear decision making can be made through an experiment.

  • This study proposes content and instruction of leadership education based on the results of evaluation and analysis of leadership skill of present levels of students who registered for 'leadership development and training' course which is liberal arts elective course of the 'Accreditation Board of Engineering Education in Korea' and provides best practices to develop leadership skill and to attain academic achievement 2, 4, 6, 7 of 12 academic achievement required by KEC2005. To accomplish a purpose of the study, I divide leadership skill into technical skill, human skill and conceptual skill that suggested by Katz and then measure students' leadership skill. The contents of leadership education to develop and enforce three leadership skills are as follows. First, for developing technical skill, there is a need for systematic education of basic working experience relevant to a major field of study. Second, for developing human skill, there is a need for education of leadership, motivation, conflict management, communication, group dynamics and presentation etc. Third, for developing conceptual skill, there is a need for education of founding vision, business strategy and creative idea etc.

  • In this study, we analyzed the current status and limitations of software education in A education universities. In order to solve these problems, technical support assistant teachers were employed and operated. During the course of the course, we conducted interviews with the instructor and the technical support teacher. The satisfaction of the teacher in the training school was high and I wanted to be supported continuously. It also called for the capacity building of assistant teachers and the establishment of a pool of staff. On the other hand, the assistant teachers suggested that the role assignment of team teaching should be clarified and a guide of activities should be presented. The technical assistance assistant teacher input system discussed in this study may be different from the practice system of each university, and generalization may be limited. Therefore, it is expected that the effective implementation method will be shared and the software education will be activated.

  • The aim of this research is the development and evaluation of a technical vocabulary list for early childhood education. The list was compiled from a corpus of 500,000 running words of written academic texts from 7 books about early childhood education. The distribution of GSL[1] and AWL[2] was 81.86% and 9.78% respectively, which meant that academic texts related to early childhood education is very similar with ones on other disciplines. The technical vocabulary list for early childhood education (TV4ECE), extracted in terms of frequency and range, contains 224 types. This word list can be used to teach early childhood education in English, especially for the preparation of reading the English texts in the field of early childhood education.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of difficult endotracheal intubation education in the 119 rescue services. The subjects in this study were 60 members of the 119 rescue services that was under the umbrella of the Fire Service Headquarters of J province. A SPSS 14.0 program was utilized to find out the effect of tough tracheal intubation education on their relevant knowledge, self-confidence, academic self-efficacy and technical Performance in consideration of general characteristics. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. They showed a significant improvement in all the knowledge, self-confidence, academic self-efficacy and technical Performance after they received that education. 2. As for connections between general characteristics and knowledge before and after that education, there were significant differences in their knowledge according to gender and career of working in the hospital, and their rank and career of working in the hospital made a significant differences to their self-confidence. Their academic self-efficacy significantly differed with rank, career of working in the hospital and academic credential. There were significant gaps among them technical Performance Case 1 according to career of working in the 119 rescue services, and technical Performance Case 2 significantly varied with age and academic credential. There were significant gaps in technical Performance Case 3 according to career of working in the 119 rescue services and career of working in the hospital after that education was provided, and technical Performance Case 4 significantly varied with age and rank before and after the education was conducted. • This study was conducted to collect basic data for establishing a revitalization plan for agricultural machinery departments in technical high schools. A status survey on satisfaction and career plan of students majoring in agricultural machinery in technical highschool was measured. The survey results showed that the selection motivation for technical high school was mainly due to the academic score obtained during middle school, and an academic major for agricultural machinery was mainly based on personal interest and aptitude. About 90% of the students answered as "normal" or "satisfied" to the questions asking satisfaction level for agricultural machinery major and education. For career plan, 68.5% of the students answered as "entrance into academic schools for higher level education" and 31.5% answered as "employment". Most preferred higher level education area was "engineering" (30.8%) and "agricultural machinery" was only 12.6%. Expecting employment area was also automobile or other industrial machinery rather than agricultural machinery.
