The purpose of this study is to develop teaching learning process plans with problem-based learning using book-making applying to the "Dressing and Self Expression" unit and evaluate its effect in middle school home economics for first grade. We developed teaching learning process plans with problem-based learning using book-making including 9 teaching materials for teachers and 15 learning materials for students. Further, we conducted and investigated pre- and post-tests in a form of questionnaires in 167 students from a girls' middle school in Pusan. Teaching learning process plans with problem-based learning using book-making showed positive results in body satisfaction, such as reduction in distortion or less dissatisfaction regarding students' body images. Also, they were found to be less affected by sociocultural attitude towards appearance. The estimation of students included the positive contents that the class was interested with various materials and it provided them with a chance to understand their body. Meanwhile, minor comments pointed out lack of time and complained of the amount of assignments. With these results, we found that teaching learning process plans with problem-based learning using book-making was an appropriate model to achieve the purpose of this study and we suggested that this class might be applied to other units of middle school home economics.

The purpose of this study is to develop the programming language teaching materials for the gifted of information with using the game. There are many curricula for teaching the information and technology to the gifted of information. There are not differences between these programs and the general IT curricula. The gifted of information has some complains about his curriculum(58/60, 96.67%). So this study developed the alternative programming language teaching materials for the gifted of information. This study concluded the effects of alternative materials for teaching programming language depend on learners' academic achievement about programming language with game activity. This study also looks forward to being able to indicate new direction to develop the teaching materials for the gifted of information.

This research aimed to develop teaching-learning plans applying character education components and STAD cooperative learning strategy focusing on the 'Housing and residential environment' unit in accordance with the 2009 revised Technology·Home Economics curriculum. In order to achieve the purpose of the research, this study was conducted in order of analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The results of this study is as follows. First, at the analysis stage, relevant literature, Technology·Home economics curriculum, and the contents of "housing and residential environment" unit from 12 textbooks published by 12 publishers were analyzed. Second, at the design stage, teaching-learning plans, teaching materials, and learning activity sheets applying character education components and STAD cooperative learning strategy were designed to increase the interest degree of the learner and character of middle school students. Third, at the development stage, a total of 8 classes of teaching-learning plan was developed. In the evaluation stage, the primary and secondary validity evaluation procedures were done by Home Economics education professors and Home Economics teachers. Teaching-learning plans and learning activity sheets were revised and complemented based on the feedback from the first validity evaluation. As a result of secondary validity evaluation, it can be seen that the teaching-learning plans and learning activity sheets developed in this research are reasonable and suitable for improving character of middle school students. It is expected that these teaching materials applying STAD and character education components will be utilized as a helpful source for curriculum developers and in-service teachers.

This in-depth study of portfolio method centered on efficient methods of application, including teacher education. The study was carried out in 2 public kindergartens in Taegu. The efficient portfolio assessment method was developed by revisions after successive applications, observations, and discussions with the teachers of both kindergartens. The resulting efficient portfolio method is composed of step 1: portfolio conference and planning; step 2: development of the portfolio in the process of teaching and learning; step 3: selection of the materials for the portfolio; step 4: analysis of the portfolio; and step 5: use of the portfolio method. The practical application of the portfolio assessment is included in the forms used for teachers' observations of children's play and educational interventions. Teachers' interventions include verbal interaction, presentation of materials, and participating as partners. This teaching-learning method consists of teaching and assessment by sensitive and instant responses to children's needs.

This study is to develop cooperative learning aids for Clothing and Textiles classes, and to develop methods and tools for performance assessment. We have surveyed 127 students with‘class evaluation’questionnaire after teaching 9 classes through developed materials. As a result, we found that students preferred to cooperative learning and they tended to do their best in their assigned role in the cooperative learning. Meanwhile, we also found that they understood the assignment of performance assessment well and they felt lack of time to handle given tasks. It shows that we need to be flexible when applying a teaching method in a way that teachers give student more options to choose their duty and time span. Although a few students create a problem and delay their duty as disturbing cooperation in a group we anticipate that the developed teaching aids and performance assessment will be a great help to improve Home Economics classes. In closing, we believe that we can be open-minded Home Economics educators that continue to work on improving classes through developing diverse teaching aids and performance assessment.

This research attempts to establish a strategy through which to secure the introduction of the KEM 2.0 system. Another aim of this research is to eventually establish a service system which can be used to automatically generate and provide the metadata information contained in the Cylearn system. in order to facilitate Korean vocational high school students access to teaching-learning materials. The main research tasks associated with this research were: 1) To establish the components of the file server system while taking into consideration the environment in which each educational organization operates; 2) To utilize the KEM 2.0 in order to optimize the configuration of the Cylearn system and the related software. To do so, the KEM 2.0. should be applied in close coordination with Edunet: The results of this research can be summarized as follows: First, a strategy to introduce the KEM 2.0 was established. To achieve this, the researcher analyzed the characteristics of the sequencing and presentation methods and suggested teaching-learning materials based on the KEM 2.0.s sequencing system. Second, the file server was constructed using the KEM 2.0. The established file server took into account the environmental conditions in which the Edunet system operates so as to facilitate the creation of a network system with Edunet. Third, the Cylearn service system was linked to Edunet. The researcher developed a module using the KEM 2.0. that could be used to transmit the metadata related to teaching-learning materials to Edunet. To achieve this, an input device and a databank which could be used to transfer the generated metadata to Edunet were developed. The input device and databank developed using the KEM 2.0. were used to transfer the metadata to Edunet by linking the Cylearn system to the Edunet system.

In vocational high schools, mathematics classes aims to improve students' mathematics-applying ability as the employ ability. However, these classes are based on the national curriculum of mathematics likewise general high schools. In this study, we develop and present the materials of teaching and learning mathematics for teachers and students in vocational high schools. We analyze the Test for Enhanced Employ Ability and Upgraded Proficiency (TEENUP) and 2015 revised national curriculum of mathematics, and consider how teachers can use this curriculum to enhance employ ability. As a result, materials of teaching and learning mathematics should be developed in terms of use of curriculum based on teachers' didactical understanding. Moreover, we present the developed materials as examples reflecting on the framework of TEENUP and connecting the 2015 revised national curriculum of mathematics. Based on these results, we draw some recommendations for applying and developing material of teaching and learning mathematics.

The purpose of this study is to find new material for developing teaching and learning materials for the gifted class of elementary school students by using the rotatable tangram made by modifying the traditional tangram. Rotatable tangram can be justified by gifted students through mathematical communication. However, even gifted class students have some limitations in finding and justifying triangles and rectangles of all sizes unless they go through the 'symbolization' stage at the elementary school level. Therefore, students who need an inquiry process for letters and symbols need to provide supplementary learning materials and additional questions. It is expected that the material of rotatable tangram for the development of teaching and learning materials for elementary school gifted students will contribute to the development of mathematical reasoning and mathematical communication ability.

This study noted that elementary school students were unable to accurately comprehend the principles of moon phase changes and that teachers themselves lacked a full understanding of it as well. Therefore, this study classifies conception types through 161 5th grade respondents and suggests how to change students' conception types through the use of reconstructed teaching and learning materials (that have been developed in existing studies). It verified the changes in the learning achievement of 129 5th grade respondents and analyzed how to think about reconstructed teaching and learning materials through four teacher respondents and four 5th grade respondents from the same study. The results of this study are as follows: First, the conception types on moon phase changes were classified into C and W types. W types consisted of W1, W2, W3, W4, and W5 types. Students had difficulty in understanding the principles of a waxing crescent moon and first quarter phase changes. Second, the group taking classes, which implemented reconstructed teaching and learning materials, showed greater improvement in learning achievement posttest and long-term tests compared to those who have not. Finally, teachers and students reacted positively to the reconstructed teaching and learning materials as shown in exit survey results. In conclusion, it is suggested that teachers are better off utilizing reconstructed teaching and learning materials so that elementary school students may fully understand the principles of moon phase changes rather than just memorizing the results.

The purposes of this study are: (1) to develop a family life education program and teaching-learning materials for building family strength, (2) to apply its program & teaching-learning materials to classrooms on the area of 'human development and family relationship' in Home Economics Education in senior high schools, (3) to provide self-directed teaching-learning materials for senior high schools' teachers and 11th-12th grade students. This study was performed according to the following procedure : (1) The area of family life education in the 7th Home Economics Education Curriculum was analyzed. (2) The students' abilities needed to acquire skills for family life were analyzed. (3) A framework for life-span family life education developed by NCFR and Adult Roles and Responsibilities Resource Guide in Utah, U.S. were reviewed and analyzed. Five units of the family life education such as 1)acquiring abilities for self management. 2)acquiring abilities for communicating, ?building family strength, acquiring abilities for crisis management, ?preparing the wise parent's roles was reconstructed. (4) In order to improve the effect of the family life education, the teaching-learning materials including lesson plans, work sheets, materials for teacher. hand outs, ppt materials. cartoons, pictures etc. were developed. (5) The developed teaching-learning materials were applied in the senior high school's classes and were revised. Additionally. a CD-rom title was made.
