Exploring the effects of unplugged play for children aged 3, 4 and 5 - Based on Bee-bot -

  • With the recent revised curriculum, the importance of exploring children's play through new teaching media is increasing in kindergarten. In this study, it is to use the robot 'Bee-bot' for early children to uncover the changes that children have through free exploration and play. As a result of comparing the change of scientific problem-solving ability of 3, 4, and 5-year-olds, there were significant changes in all three sub-elements. We propose to us scientific problem-solving ability test tools, propose and apply ideas for problem-solving, conclusion on problem-solving Building. Through this, it was found that unplugged play using 'Bee-bot' is meaningful as a play environment and as a teaching medium for children aged 3, 4 and 5 years old.

팀기반학습(Team-Based Learning)이 간호학생의 문제해결능력과 비판적사고 및 자기주도학습에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Team-Based Learning on Problem Solving Ability, Critical Thinking Disposition and Self-Directed Learning in Undergraduate Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of team-based learning (TBL) program on problem solving ability, critical thinking disposition and self-directed learning in junior nursing students caring for patients with respiratory diseases. Methods: One-group pretest-posttest design was used. TBL program was carried out for 2 hours a week for 6 weeks. Data were collected by questionnaires from 167 nursing students from March 6 to June 5, 2013. Data were analyzed by paired t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: At the completion of TBL program, significant improvement was found in problem solving ability (t=-6.04, p<.001), critical thinking disposition (t=5.02, p<.001) and self-directed learning (t=5.96, p<.001). There was a significant positive correlation among problem solving ability, critical thinking disposition and self-directed learning. Conclusion: In conclusion, TBL is a useful teaching and learning method on nursing students. We suggest that it is needed to measure the educational effects of TBL against other teaching methods in the future studies.

예비유아교사의 멀티미디어 활용능력 향상을 위한 교재개발 및 효과-시지각 인터페이스를 중심으로 (Development of Teaching Materials and Effects for the Improvement of Multimedia Utilization Ability for Pre-Kindergarten Teachers-Focusing on Visual Perception Interface)

  • This study was practiced in order to develop a textbook to improve early childhood teachers' ability to use multimedia required by kindergartens and to examine its effects. First, investigation of the status of multimedia application of early childhood teachers in kindergartens was done along with looking through their attitude and anxiety. The expertise and the multimedia education was required in early childhood education and curriculum. As a result, 15 categories and 50 subcategories under 4 themes were drawn through the procedures of qualitative analysis. The conclusions obtained through this study were the following: First, the education for multimedia application related to the tasks required in kindergartens is needed instead of the common education for multimedia application, to improve the ability to use multimedia for early childhood teachers. Second, multimedia education based on visual theory for the purpose of early childhood education, rather than common features-centered multimedia education, is helpful for the improvement of early childhood teachers' ability to use multimedia. Finally, the improvement of early childhood teachers' ability to use multimedia will be a chance to provide children with a better educational environment.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the school parent and student's perception of Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics and to suggest plan to school parent of multicultural and learning disability families. The subjects of this study were elementary and secondary teachers who teaching Practical Arts or Technology Home Economics. The instrument of this study was questionnaire including five sections: influence on students by Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics, interest in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics to school parents, school support with learning ability improvement, school parents support with home in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics, data form of school parents support with home in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. The findings of this study were as follows; Sociality development of students is influential by Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. School parents and students believe important subjects in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. Teachers ask for support with learning ability improvement for practical training space and programs in Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics. School parents ask for support with learning ability improvement of programs of teaching learning method for home education on Practical Arts and Technology Home Economics.

직업기초능력함양을 위한 맞춤식 플립드 러닝 교수·학습모형 적용-전문대학 방사선과 1학년 재학생을 중심으로 (Application of professor·learning model customized for flipped learning for enhancing basic ability of work - Focused on freshman students in radiology department of specialized colleges)

  • 최근 학령인구의 감소와 대중매체의 발달로 교수자와 학생이 소통할 수 있는 새로운 교수법이 대두되고 있으며, 전문대학생들에 맞추어 플립드 러닝 교수학습모형을 적용하였다. 맞춤식 플립드 러닝 교수학습 모형 결과에서 전공과목 pre class 출석률은 92.3%의 결과로 나타났다. 그리고 전공이외의 교양 교과목의 pre class의 출석률은 87.6%로의 결과를 보여 주었다. 이러한 결과는 방사선과 1학년 재학생들의 전공과목 pre class출석률이 교양 교과목 pre class출석률보다 적극적인 참여가 있었다는 것을 알 수 있다. 맞춤식 플립드러닝 교수학습모형의 in class에서 적용한 연구 집단과 적용하지 않은 비교집단 간의 차이를 비교해 본 결과, 연구 집단이 비교집단보다 직무능력인 지식, 기술, 태도에서 모두 높은 점수를 보였다. 또한, 예비방사선사로서 갖추어야 할 직업기초능력으로 본 수업 모형을 적용한 결과 90%이상의 학습자들이 책임감, 문제해결 능력, 창의적 사고, 협동 능력, 의사소통 능력이 향상되었다. 맞춤식 플립드 러닝 교수 학습모형의 post class에서 방사선사 역할인지 차이 검증에서는 교수학습모형적용전의 평균이 2.10이였으나 적용 후의 평균은 4.40로 증가하여 나타났다. 맞춤식 플립드 교수 학습 모형을 적용한 결과 방사선과 직업기초능력을 함양하기위하여 본 교수학습모형이 적절하며, 이에 확대 적용할 필요성이 있다고 사료된다.

Developing the Format and Samples of Teaching Materials for Scientific Creativity in the Ordinary Science Curriculum -Including Teachers' Practice and Reflection-

  • Scientific creativity is necessary for all ordinary students in ordinary school settings. In this study, a practical format for teaching scientific creativity is suggested, and sample teaching materials based on this format are developed. To facilitate the practical use of the teaching materials in ordinary schools, the model of IS3CA(Iterative Small Scale Scientific Creative Activity) was proposed. Using this format and the proposed teaching materials, a brief in-service program was developed and implemented. Here, the aim is to improve teachers' actual professional ability to develop their own teaching materials rather than just using the pre-developed teaching materials provided by the researcher. Positive responses about the in-service program were collected from the teachers, and the results also showed that the development of teaching materials by teachers was possible. Therefore, I expect that the teaching of scientific creativity by ordinary teachers is possible for ordinary students in ordinary school contexts. Finally, based on the results and experiences of this study, a curriculum for teaching scientific creativity is suggested.

학교현장실습이 중등 예비수학교사들의 교사의 지식에 대한 인식 변화에 미친 영향 (Effect of teaching practicum for pre-service mathematics teachers' perception changes about teacher's knowledge)

  • In this study, 45 pre-service mathematics teachers were surveyed about how the perception of knowledge through teaching practicum have changed and how the knowledge learned in college and teaching practicum helped to format teachers' knowledge and analyzed survey's result. Pre-service mathematics teachers felt the knowledge for understanding students were needed the most and considered the experiences from teaching practicum were more useful than the knowledge learned from college classes. However, they had low appreciations on connecting knowledge on learned contents with real-life or other subjects and on necessity of knowledge of using various learning tools or mathematical materials in class. Also, they have answered the knowledges from college classes and teaching practicum were useless in those areas. Especially, they pointed out that guidance teachers during teaching practicum were insufficient in instructing. Therefore, we suggest the following two to improve the teaching ability of pre-service mathematics teachers through teaching practicum. First, college and secondary school cooperating programs such as class-observation and student-mentor system connected with local society should be developed. Second, the special re-training program for guidance teachers of teaching practicum is needed.

제 4차 산업혁명시대의 공과대 여학생 역량분석을 반영한 교수법 모델 (A Pedagogical Model Reflecting on Competency Analysis of of the Female Engineering Students in the Fourth Industrial Revolution)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an educational model based on the capacity analysis of college students. In order to measure the learning ability of female science and engineering students, we used various tools to derive core competencies. The competency element of human resources implementation, the element of learning achievement area in the undergraduate education actual condition survey, and the analysis of the learning achievement elements of the engineering certification program were analyzed and the development of teaching method was searched to find ways to increase the competence of female students. In addition, we developed a model that can apply the development of pedagogy in the curriculum to the liberal arts, majors, and comparative courses, and presented the internship in field experience area, the improvement of on the spot learning, and teaching method and guidance to enhance the female students' competence. Also, as a case study of the proposed teaching method, new curriculum of 'Understanding of Big Data' which is the basis of the fourth industrial revolution technology in the second semester of 2016 was developed and applied to the education model. The results of this study are very positive, and we can expect the effectiveness of the new education model to enhance the learning ability and capacity of female students.

입문기 아동의 문자지도를 위한 멀티미디어 프로그램의 설계 및 구현 (The Design and Implementation of a Multimedia Program for Emergent Literacy Teaching)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 아동들의 국어 읽기 능력의 신장 및 문자 해독 능력을 배양하기 위한 입문기 문자 지도용 멀티미디어 프로그램을 설계 및 구현하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 기본 음절표 및 쓰기 시범 자료와 표준 발음을 포함한 학습 내용으로 재구성하여 입문기 문자 지도에서 요구되는 반복 연습 및 개별 학습의 기회를 제공하여 아동들이 자신감을 가지고 접근할 수 있는 멀티미디어 프로그램을 개발하고자 하였다. 본 프로그램은 낱자 공부, 낱말 공부, 바르게 쓰기 등의 기본 학습 내용과 동화 읽기, 쉼터 등의 심화 학습 내용 및 숨은 그림 찾기, 낱자 끌어다 놓기, 배운 것 알아보기 등의 평가 내용으로 구성되어 있으며, 실제 교육 현장에서의 활용 가능성 및 기대 효과를 제시하였다.

자유탐구에서 교수.학습 방법 및 평가 방안 (Teaching-Learning Method and Evaluating Method on Free Inquiry)

  • The purpose of this study is to device the teaching-learning method and the evaluating method on 'free inquiry' which is newly introduced in 2007 revised curriculum. The teaching-learning models which apply 'free inquiry' are 'group investigation', 'PBL', 'project investigation' and 'IIM'. And the unit which apply 'free inquiry' on the fourth grade and the second semester in the elementary science. The results of this study are as follows: First, The person leading the lesson is not a teacher but learners. The focus of teaching-learning is not a unit but topic, problem or project on the science textbook. A teacher's role is not the deliverer of knowledge but the guide of learning. Second, the outcome of applying group investigation, PBL project investigation and IIM to 'free inquiry' is improvements of the problem-solving ability and the self-directed learning ability as well as building scientific attitude and social skills as educational effect in commonly. Third, to apply 'free inquiry' efficiently, teachers should understand each subject very well, teach a class with a thorough and concrete plan, and try to evaluate objectively.
