융합인재교육에 대한 초등교원의 관심도 분석 (The Analysis on Degree of Concerns for STEAM Education of Elementary School Teachers)

  • This study has investigated concerns of elementary school teachers on STEAM education that is main stream of science-technology education in Korea nowadays. Emphasis on STEAM education of Ministry of education that is new policy about science-technology-refinement education for future led to teachers implement STEAM education on the field of education since 2011. The purpose of this study is to check current degree of concerns of elementary school teachers for STEAM education and explore effective ways to improve concerns of teachers about it. From this study we checked and diagnosed conditions of teachers' concerns on the current STEAM education in Korea. Through this work we found degree of teachers' concerns on the current STEAM education is very low and they are undergoing trial and error recently because of deficiency of understanding on STEAM education and insufficient time to design it and so on.

  • This study investigated Korean science teachers' concerns and needs regarding inquiry testing to cope with the innovation called College Scholastic Abilities Test(CSAT), which was officially first administered as the nation-wide college entrance exam in 1994. This study adopted Concerns Based Adoption Model(CBAM) as the theoretical framework developed by Hall et al. 60 high science teachers (30 physics, 20 earth science, 10 others) were involved for the main study in August, 1992. In general. science teachers demonstrated a concern profile similar to that of 'nonusers'. They showed high level of concerns on the 'information' and 'personal' stage, while low level of concerns on 'management' and 'consequence' stage. Science teachers expressed their strong needs for knowledge and support to facilitate inquiry teaching and testing, text books written in inquiry mode. It is recommended that in-service trainings be provided based on the concerns and needs of teachers for a better teacher training and successful implementation of the innovation.

학생, 부모, 교사의 안전 관심도가 초등학교 어린이의 안전행동에 미치는 영향 (Students', Teachers', and Parents' Safety Concerns Affecting Students' Safety Behaviors of Elementary Schools in Korea)

  • Objectives: More than 80% of unintentional injury was related to risk-taking behaviors involved in child accidents. Therefore, diverse care and concerns on safety should be provided from teachers as well as parents to build child safety behaviors. The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of safety concerns from students, teachers, and parents on elementary students' safety behaviors in Korea. Methods: The 5th and 6th grade students participated in this study in 14 elementary schools in Korea and the total number of students was 1,033. The study schools were selected by the stratified cluster sampling method throughout 7 metropolitan areas in Korea. Data were collected by the self-administered survey and the questionnaires were delivered to the vice-principals of the designated schools by ground postal service and the vice-principals conducted survey data collection. The questions on students' safety concerns, teachers' safety concerns, parents' safety concerns, safety practices, safety education, and demographics were included in the survey. All survey responses were encoded into SPSS program and t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were utilized. Results: The students taking accidents one time more per year were more than 60% and the two thirds of them recognized that their accidents were due to their risk behaviors. Parents' education on safety practices was more frequent than teachers' education; furthermore, teachers' concerns on safety behaviors were poorer than students' or parents' concerns. In terms of safety behaviors, the scores of fire and home-related safety behavior were high but the scores of traffic and bicycle, in particular, helmet wearing practice were low. Three concerns from students, parents, and teachers all were significantly related to children's safety behaviors. Conclusions: In conclusion, safety concerns from the close networks are the important indicator of child safety behaviors and, the safety training programs, therefore, for parents and teachers as well as for students need to be developed for improving children's safe behaviors.

교사의 관심도에 기초한 초등 과학과 수행평가의 실태 분석 (Analysis on the Status of Performance Assessment in Science Based on the Elementary Teachers Concerns)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the practice of performance assessment in elementary science education and to support it according to the levels teachers' concerns. So this study was conducted by applying CBAM which is based on teachers' concern, which was designed for the investigation of the elementary science teachers' concern, their performance level, intellectual understanding, status of performance. and stage oi awareness and the connections between these factors. The study involved 311 elementary school teachers in the city of Seoul. The result of this study was as follows: First, the stage of teachers’ concerns performance assessment in science marked 49.5%, indicating that about half of the teachers was staying on the informative stage which could be generally occurring in the beginning of performance the curriculum innovation. The level of performance marked 33.8%, which was regarded as the stage of elaboration. For the category of intellectual understanding, most of the teachers didn’t fully understood the performance assessment. Regarding the status performance, 90.4% of the teachers were implementing the assessment at the state of knowing the purpose of it. However. 40.5% of the teachers didn't fully understand the specific characteristics of the assessment. Also, the results of analyzing the teachers’ awareness on science performance assessment indicated that they have slightly positive positions. Secondly, the result of analyzing the stages of concerns for the assessment, based on the elementary school teachers' personal background, levels of implementation, and their intellectual understanding showed that the concerns were significantly different with the categories of their workplaces(p<.05). Finally, the result of analyzing the relationship among the concerns for the science performance assessment, levels of implementation and intellectual understanding indicated that there were significant differences in levels of implementation with the degree of intellectual understanding (p<.001).

중등예비음악교사의 교직에 대한 염려 조사 (Pre-Service Secondary Music Teachers' Concerns About Music Teaching and Learning)

  • 최근 들어 교사 성장과정에서 예비교사들이 가지고 있는 염려에 많은 관심이 집중됨에 따라 본 연구에서는 한국의 중등예비음악교사들이 가지고 있는 교직에 대한 염려를 조사하고자 하였다. 연구 목적에 따른 연구문제는 다음과 같다: (1) 중등예비음악교사들의 전반적인 교직에 대한 염려는 어떠한가? (2) 교사교육 프로그램의 단계에 따른 중등예비음악교사들의 교직에 대한 염려는 어떠한 차이가 있는가? (3) 이전 음악교수 경험에 따른 중등예비음악교사들의 교직에 대한 염려는 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 이를 위해 서울 소재 대학교 교육대학원에 재학중인 93명의 중등예비음악교사들을 대상으로 설문지를 배부하고 수집하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구의 예비음악교사들은 전반적으로 음악교수와 학생에 대한 영향에 대해 가장 높은 염려를 나타냈다. 둘째, 교사교육 단계가 높아질수록 예비음악교사들의 자신에 대한 염려는 줄어들고 음악교수와 학생에 대한 영향과 관련된 염려는 더 많이 나타났다. 셋째, 방과후 수업이나 돌봄 교실을 경험한 중등예비음악교사들은 이를 경험하지 않은 참여자들보다 낮은 염려의 수준을 보였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 중등예비음악교사들이 교직에 대한 세부적인 염려를 해소하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있도록 교사교육기관의 교과과정 개선의 필요성과 학교 현장과의 협력을 통해 교사교육기간 동안 중등예비음악교사들이 다양한 교수경험을 쌓을 수 있도록 지원해야 한다는 것을 제안하고자 한다.

미국 오하이오주의 실천적 문제 중심 모형을 적용한“일과 가족생활 교육과정”에 대한 가정과 교사의 관심도 (Concerns of Home Economics Teachers on Ohio's Work and Family Life Curriculum)

  • The objective of this study were 1) to determine the stages of concern of HE teachers about the practical problem-based curriculum approach, as illustrated by the Ohio's Work and Family Life Curriculum (W&FLC); 2) to determine the relationships between home economics (HE) teacher's stages of concern about W&FLC and personal and professional characteristics of HE teachers; and 3) to determine aspects of interest about the practical problem-based curriculum approach, such as the Ohio W&FLC. Respondents in this study were 225 HE teachers. The data were collected during the in-service teacher training sessions after presentation about W&FLC. Concerns Based Adoption Model (CBAM) was modified to provide a conceptual framework for this study. Frequencies, SD, mean, mode, range were used to determine the stages of concern of HE teachers. To determine the relationships between stages of concerns and personal and professional characteristics of HE teachers, coefficient of Chi-Square contingency tables was used. Content analysis was used to determine aspects of interest about the practical problem-bsed curriculum approach, such as W&FLC. The median of the stages of HE teachers' concerns about W&FLC was Stage 1, Information Stage. About 60% of HE teachers were interested in learning more details about W&FLC. Chi-square revealed no statistically significant relationships between stages of concerns about W&FLC and characteristics of HE teachers. Content analysis was used to determine aspects of interest about W&FLC of HE teachers. Nine categories were found: content, teaching strategies, implementation of the curriculum, philosophical framework, how to adopt W&FLC, resource materials, students' outcomes, in-service teacher training, and HE teacher organization. The majority of HE teachers were interested in relationships with family and others, resource management, family relationships, personal development, communication skill, family life, creating a self-identity, life planning, roles of family members, homemaking management, child care, and parenting.

보육교사의 관심사와 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 역할인식 및 교수효능감 간의 관계 연구 (The Relationship Between Child Care Teacher's Concerns and Their Teacher' Role in Improving Children's Creativity and Their Teaching Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사의 관심사와 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 역할인식 및 교수효능감 간의 관계에 대해 분석해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전라북도 J지역의 보육교사 156명을 연구대상으로 질문지 조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 보육교사의 관심사와 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 역할인식 간에 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하위 내용별로 살펴보면 생존관심사, 강화관심사, 갱신관심사, 성숙관심사에서 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 보육교사의 관심사와 교수효능감 간에 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하위내용별로 살펴보면 생존관심사, 강화관심사, 갱신관심사, 성숙관심사에서 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 결론적으로 보육교사 관심사는 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 역할인식과 교수효능감을 예측하는 중요한 변인으로 보육교사들의 관심사를 이해하고 이에 대한 요구 분석을 통해 유아의 창의성 증진을 위한 역할인식 및 교수효능감을 향상시킬 수 있는 구체적인 교육환경 요건에 대해 논의하였다.

  • The purpose of this research is to discover and analyze the stages of concern, level of use, innovation configurations and the analysis of their relationship to each other of storytelling-based math education among elementary teachers based on the concerns-based adoption model (CBAM). And then the researcher derives support strategies for the education by empirically examining at which levels and how actual elementary teachers perceive storytelling-based math education and also how they adopt it. In addition, the researcher lays the purpose of this study on seeking proper supporting strategies for helping elementary teachers implement storytelling-based math education and providing basic material for teaching activities by examining the correlation between stages of concern, levels of use and the innovation configuration, and grasping the relation between teachers concern and their educational practice regarding storytelling-based math education.

  • 이 연구는 관심중심수용모형(Concern-Based Adoption Model)을 통해서 영재교육 담당교원 직무연수 연수대상 교사들의 영재교육에 대한 단계별 관심도와 연수 후 관심도 변화 수준 차이를 분석하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 B광역시 영재교육진흥원에서 주관한 2014학년도 초 중등 영재교육 담당교원 직무연수에 참여하였던 연수 교원 162명 중에서 설문에 성실하게 응답해준 102명을 대상으로 교사들의 변인별(성별, 학교 급별, 과목별) 영재교육에 대한 관심도와 연수 전과 후의 관심도 차이를 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통해 영재교육 담당교원 기초과정 직무연수는 영재교사를 양성하고 영재교육에 대한 저변확대를 위해서 반드시 필요한 연수이며, 연수대상 교사들에게 영재교육에 대한 자신감을 향상 시켜주고 관심도에 대한 필요를 충족시켜주고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

관심중심수용모형(CBAM)을 활용한 초등교사의 SW교육 관심도 및 실행수준 분석 (An Investigation of Teachers' Stages of Concern and Levels of Use about SW Education Based on Concerns-Based Adoption Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등교사의 SW교육에 대한 관심도 및 실행수준을 관심중심수용모형(Concerns-Based Adoption Model)을 통해 분석하여 SW교육의 지속적인 현장 적용을 위한 교사교육에서의 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 현직 초등학교 교사 152명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고, 수집된 데이터를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 초등교사의 SW교육에 대한 관심도는 0단계(지각)부터 2단계(개인) 측면의 관심이 높은 초기 관심 단계를 보이고 있었다. 현재 SW교육을 실행하고 있는 교사는 현장에서 SW교육을 단기적으로 시행하는 것에 집중하는 기계적 실행과 일상화 수준에 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 실행하고 있지 않은 교사의 과반수는 SW교육을 실행하기 위한 의도가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 교사의 성별, 교직경력, SW연수경험, SW교수경험에 따라 교사의 SW교육 관심단계에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 담당학년, SW연수경험, SW교수경험에 따라 SW교육 실행수준에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 현직 초등학교 교사들의 SW교육 관심 변화를 촉진하기 위한 방안을 교사를 대상으로 한 다양한 SW교육 제공 및 교수경험 확대의 측면에서 제안하였다.
