중학교 자유학기제 형성평가 방안 탐색 (An Exploration on Formative Evaluation Methods for Free Semester System in Middle School)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop evaluation methods which would measure student achievement and progress without traditional paper-pencil tests such as mid-term and final examinations. More specifically, the main research focus were to establish general directions of student assessment during free semester, to build evaluation models supporting student's participation and learning, and to report and record various student evaluation results. As research results, we found that student evaluation of free semester should be organized to improve a) experience learning activity, self-regulatory and collaboratory study, b) high-order thinking ability and character-building, and c) teacher-student-parent cooperation. Since traditional paper-pencil tests were restricted in free semester, student achievement should be provided by a way of performance descriptions on transcripts rather than quantitative grade points. Student performance descriptions had to show not only subject knowledge but also students efforts, motivation, and participation. These multiple and educationally meaningful information would be collected by teacher-student-parent communication and collaboration.

  • Subjects in this study on causal relationships among playfulness, interactive peer play, teacher-child relationships, and creative characteristics were 286 3- to 5-year-old children. Instruments were the Rating Scale for Creative Characteristic of Preschoolers (Lee et al., 2002), Children's Playfulness Scale (Bemett, 1990), Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale (Fantuzzo et al., 1995), and Student Teacher Relationship Scale (Pianta, 1991). Results showed : (1) significant relationships among social spontaneous, cognitive spontaneous and children's humor in sub-areas of children's playfulness, friendliness in sub-areas of teacher-child relationships, play interaction in sub-areas of interactive peer play and creative characteristics. (2) Children's creative characteristics directly influenced social spontaneous, cognitive spontaneous and children's humor in sub-areas of children's playfulness and of play interaction in sub-areas of interactive peer play.

원격교사연수 모형개발 요소탐색 (Exploration of factors for Development of Distance Teacher Training Model)

  • 최근, 지속적인 지식, 정보의 증가로 교사들의 연수의 필요성이 요구되고 있으나 현재 실시되고 있는 연수는 몇몇 문제점들을 내포하고 있다 이들 문제점들을 줄이기 위해 원격교사연수가 실시되고 있으나 시공간 극복 등의 장점에도 불구하고 상호작용, 평가, 강사, 연수 매체 등의 문제점이 나타나고 있다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 현재 제시되고 있는 원격교사 연수의 개선방안과 여러 학자들이 주장하고 있는 원격교사연수 모형 및 교수-학습 방법 등을 조사하고, 각 모형에서 제시되고 있는 요소와 원칙들을 종합하여 차후 개발될 원격교사연수모형에서 고려되어야 할 요소들을 제시하였다. 이 요소들의 제시로 인하여 원격교사연수모형을 개발하는데 있어 좋은 기준이 될 수 있다.

Science Teacher Education in Taiwan

  • This article describes the status of science teacher education in Taiwan. The pre-service and in-service science teacher training system, institutes, curricula, programs, and evaluation on the institutes were briefly introduced. The differences before and after the 1996 reform of science teacher training system were compared. Finally, the attempts and efforts that have been done through the channels of research to promote science teachers' professional development were addressed. These efforts include the Case studies of exemplary science teachers' teaching performances, the development of licensure instruments for the certification of science teachers, the use of computers and distance education for supervising student teachers, the exploration of promoting science teachers' understanding about the nature of science, the exploration of promoting science teachers' pedagogical content knowledge, the exploration of promoting science teachers' ability of increasing effective student-teacher and student-student interactions, and the exploration of effective teaching strategies.

유치원 교사의 교육과정 평가와 유아 평가에 대한 실태 및 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A survey on the evaluation of curriculum and young children by kindergarten teachers)

  • The purpose of this study was to consider the evaluations of curriculum and young children by kindergarten teachers. The investigation subjects for questionnaire were 637 (the directors, vice-directors, the head teachers, and teachers) who were selected by proportional stratified sampling method for population and the subjects for interview were 11 teachers out of previous subjects who have worked at Jeolla-Do. The questionnaire was based on preceding studies and the propriety of contents was validated. The followings are results of this study. First, according to the purpose of curriculum, more than half of kindergarten teachers answered that they do perform evaluation to validate the young children's developmental process and there were statistically no significant differences by variables of kindergarten teachers. This study was to see whether they perform the evaluation results of curriculum or not, they relatively perform and there were statistically differences by kindergarten teacher's working location, establishment type, level of education and age. This study was to see whether they reflect the evaluation results of curriculum, and it was revealed as they relatively reflect. Also, there were statistically significant differences by kindergarten teacher's working location. And, kindergarten teachers requested the appropriate evaluation curriculum that also requires the adequate education for teachers and organized supporting system as a implication plan. Second, as of material types for children's portfolio evaluation, teachers collect activity products at most, then activity picture, observation, standardized test, teacher's journal, recording or tape-recording, post-interview and data that were collected at home. And, kindergarten teachers requested the appropriate evaluation method and the supply of human resources as a implication plan for young children's evaluation.

  • 교사의 수업 전문성 발달의 일환으로, 교사 전문성의 핵심 영역인 수업과 관련된 일련의 활동에 대하여 수업평가 기준을 마련하는 것은 의미 있는 일이라 하겠다. 이러한 취지하에, 좋은 수업, 교사 지식, 수업평가, 수업컨설팅 등에 관한 연구가 한국교육과정 평가원을 통해 지난 십년간 꾸준히 수행되어 왔다. 이러한 연구 결과 중, 교사 지식의 핵심 요소로 '교과 내용 지식', '학습자 이해', '교수 학습 방법 및 평가', '수업 상황' 등의 지식이 제안된 바 있다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 교사의 '학습자 이해' 지식에 초점을 두고 이에 관한 수학 수업에서의 평가 요소를 탐색하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 연구에서는 우선 교사의 학습자 이해 지식에 관한 의미를 재 탐색하고, 또한 학습자 이해와 관련된 몇몇 수업평가에 관한 선행 연구 결과들을 분석하여, 학습자인지 수준, 학습자 오 개념, 학습 동기, 수학적 태도, 학습 방법 등의 5개 영역에 따른 수업평가 요소(안)를 마련하였다.

초등 과학 수업에서 '반응적 교수'의 실현 가능성 탐색 (An Exploration of the Possibility of Implementing 'Responsive Teaching' (RT) in Elementary Science Classrooms)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of implementing 'responsive teaching (RT)' in elementary school science classrooms. A review of relevant literature yielded a tentative framework of RT which consisted of three characteristics of RT and example practices for each characteristic. The RT framework was used to analyze elementary science lessons on the topic of the transpiration in plant leaves. The data sources were audio recordings of three $5^{th}$ grade classrooms which included both the whole-class instruction and student group activities. The data were examined through collaboration between the teacher who had taught the lessons and a university-based science education researcher. It was revealed that the implementation of RT was limited when the teacher's intervention was focused on completing tasks; when it was out of the contexts of student activities; when the teacher provided earlier what students were supposed to find out by themselves; and when the teacher's comments were evaluation-centered. By contrast, the implementation of RT was made highly possible when the teacher's intervention induced an intellectual debate among students; when the teacher negotiated meanings with students; when the teacher connected what students shared to scientific knowledge; and when the teacher prompted students to solve a new problem. Implications about implementing and studying RT were discussed.

광주.전남 지역 학교급식 영양사.영양교사의 학교유형에 따른 직무분석 및 만족도 연구 (Job analysis and satisfaction of dietitians.nutrition teacher in school foodservice by school type in Gwangju and Jeonnam area)

  • The objective of this study was to examine job performance and importance, and job satisfaction of school foodservice dietitians nutrition teacher in Jeonnam and Gwangju area according to the school types (elementary school, middle school, high school). A total of 646 questionnaires were distributed, 244 questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS 12.0 for a descriptive analysis, t-test and ANOVA. There were significant differences between the school dietitians' nutrition teachers' job performance and importance in all areas of the job analysis for all school types. In the foodservice management/evaluation and nutrition education area, elementary and middle school foodservice dietitian nutrition teacher showed a significantly higher performance, compared to that of high school dietitian nutrition teacher. Nutrition education was recognized by elementary and middle school dietitian nutrition teacher to be more significantly important than that of high school dietitian nutrition teacher. Elementary school foodservice dietitian nutrition teacher was most satisfied with their job condition. Dietitian working in middle school was least satisfied with the salary and compensation. These results suggest that appropriate curriculum should be structured according to foodservice dietitian nutrition teacher of the school type for improving the work efficiency. In order to increase the job satisfaction, the employment status of school dietitian should be guaranteed by the government and school officials, especially in the middle and high schools.

학생과 학부모의 배경특성이 여교사의 외모관리에 따른 역할수행능력평가에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Evaluation for Female teachers' Role-Performance on Their Appearance - according to background of students and their parents -)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect on the evaluation or a female teachers' role-performance based on appearance according to backgrounds of students and their parents. For this study, data was collected between October 19 and 29, 2005 by means of a questionnaire designed to gauge a subject's evaluation of a teacher's abilities in learning guidance, living guidance, and human relations. The researchers selected two middle schools and four high schools in the city of Gwang-ju. The 398 surveys completed were analyzed using factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, t-test and descriptive statistics. According to the study, the evaluation of a female teacher's abilities varies with the backgrounds of both students and their parents. Among the students tested perceptions were affected by gender, grade level and type of school attended. For mothers there were differences based on age, occupation and family income.

저경력 사서교사의 전문성 영역에 대한 교육적 요구도 분석 (A Study on the Current Status and Educational Needs of Low-experienced Teacher Librarians' Instructional Expertise)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 5년 내 임용된 저경력 사서교사의 주요 현황을 조사하고, 사서교사 전문성 영역에 대한 중요도와 만족도를 파악하여 저경력 사서교사의 역량 향상을 위한 전문성 제고 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 5년 미만의 저경력 사서교사 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 사서교사의 양성과정과 임용 전 경험 등을 분석하였으며, 대응표본 t-검정, IPA 모델, Borich 요구도, LF 모델을 이용하여 저경력 사서교사의 전문성 영역(도서관 이용지도, 독서교육, 정보활용교육, 디지털 및 미디어 리터러시 교육, 협력수업)에 대한 인식을 파악하였다. 분석결과, 저경력 사서교사들은 모든 전문성 영역에서 중요도-만족도 간의 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. IPA 결과, '독서교육-실행 진행'을 중요도와 만족도가 높은 '지속유지영역'으로 인식하고 있었으며, '협력수업-계획', '협력수업-진행', '협력수업-평가'와 '정보활용교육-교육과정 설계', '디지털 및 미디어리터러시 교육-실행 및 평가'를 집중노력영역으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. Borich 요구도에서는 '협력수업' 영역의 '교수학습 평가', '교수학습 진행', '교수학습 계획'이 가장 높은 교육적 요구를 보여주었으며, 이어서 '디지털 및 미디어 리터러시 교육'과 '정보활용교육' 영역순으로 나타났다. LF 모델에서도 '협력수업' 영역이 최우선 영역에 포함되는 것으로 나타났으며, '디지털 및 미디어 리터러시 교육-실행, 평가', '정보활용교육-실행 평가', '정보활용교육-교육과정, 설계'의 5가지 역량이 우선순위가 높은 영역으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 교원으로서의 사서교사의 전문성을 재고하는데 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
