자동선반을 위한 공작물 장탈착로봇의 개발

  • The conventional loading process of workpieces for a CNC lathe is performaed either by human or by a general robot. It is not suitable for a general robot to load workpieces because of high price and inefficiency. Starting from the description of the environment around CNC lathes and the analysis ofloading process, we have developed the task-oriented loading manipulator. The characteristics of a loading manipulator are the following: to load/unload heavy workpieces, to decrease the whole porcess time. The air-chuck to load heavy workpiece has high clamping force and light weight. A loading manipulator has accomplished both the integration of independent automation techniques and cost-down effect of product. A loading manupulator developed in this project has been designed for general loading process. The loading manipulator is capable of carrying heavy payload with respect to weight of robot in short cycle time.

A Portable Mediate Interface 'Handybot' for the Rich Human-Robot Interaction (인관과 로봇의 다양한 상호작용을 위한 휴대 매개인터페이스 ‘핸디밧’)

  • The importance of the interaction capability of a robot increases as the application of a robot is extended to a human's daily life. In this paper, a portable mediate interface Handybot is developed with various interaction channels to be used with an intelligent home service robot. The Handybot has a task-oriented channel of an icon language as well as a verbal interface. It also has an emotional interaction channel that recognizes a user's emotional state from facial expression and speech, transmits that state to the robot, and expresses the robot's emotional state to the user. It is expected that the Handybot will reduce spatial problems that may exist in human-robot interactions, propose a new interaction method, and help creating rich and continuous interactions between human users and robots.

  • While past knowledge management researches have focused on conceptualization and strategic implications, knowledge asset researches attempt to provide practical guidelines for companies. However, each research classifies knowledge asset from its own perspective, and thus it is not a trivial task to leverage consistent and inclusive criteria in managing corporate knowledge asset. The objective of this paper is to develop a knowledge asset classification schema on the basis of the three business functions: customer relationship management, product innovation, and infrastructure management. To demonstrate the feasibility of our schema, it has been applied to 9 Korean corporations. Knowledge assets are evaluated according to core capabilities, which are main drivers of sustainable competitive advantages. The results of case study show that the leveraged classification schema reflects current knowledge asset management and characteristics of corporations. Our finding is that most top-quality knowledge management corporations are likely to develop well-balanced knowledge asset.

An Analysis of Nurses' Behavior for Politeness in Cancer Patient-Centered Conversation (암 환자 중심의 대화를 위한 간호사의 공손 언어행위 분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe and to analyze real conversation about polite behavior of nurses in cancer units. Methods: This study was conducted using a Brown & Levinson(1987) theory to analyze the polite behavior of nurses in cancer units. Five nurses who participated in this research gave permission to be videotaped. The data was collected from January to February, 2006. Results: Polite behavior of nurses in cancer units consisted of greetings, emotional support, open questions and indirect direction. And impolite behavior of nurses in cancer units was using the medical terminology, repetition of direct speech acts and task-oriented conversation. Conclusion: This study suggests polite behavior strategies for effective nursing conversation with cancer patients. Therefore, the findings may provide basic raw materials for educational programmes and intervention studies.

  • 현재의 인터넷은 라우팅과 어드레싱에 대한 심각한 확장성 문제를 가지고 있다. 이러한 확장성의 가장 큰 원인은 멀티호밍, 트래픽 엔지니어링, 집적되지 못하는 주소 할당 등이며, 이로 인하여 백본 지역의 라우팅 테이블 크기가 기하급수적으로 증가하는 현상을 보이고 있다. 또한 현재의 IP 주소는 호스트의 식별자와 위치자의 의미를 함께 사용하기 때문에 호스트의 이동성 및 멀티호밍을 지원하는 데 한계점이 있다. 이러한 현재 인터넷의 문제점 해결 방안으로 식별자와 위치자 분리 구조가 연구되고 있다. 본고에서는 식별자와 위치자 분리 구조에서 필수적으로 요구되는 식별자와 위치자 간의 매핑 시스템에 관한 연구들을 소개하고 각각의 장단점을 분석한다. 본고에서는 현재 인터넷 기반의 대표적 식별자와 위치자 분리 구조 중 IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force)에서 잘 알려진 LISP(Locator Identifier Separation Protocol), HIP(Host Identity Protocol), ILNP(Identifier Locator Network Protocol)에서 제안하는 매핑 시스템들과 미래인터넷 기반의 대표적 식별자와 위치자 분리 구조 중 미국의 MobilityFirst와 한국의 MOFI(Mobile-Oriented Future Internet)에서 제안하는 매핑 시스템들을 중점적으로 소개한다.

A Global Optimal Approach for Robot Kinematics Design using the Grid Method

  • In a previous research, we presented the Grid Method and confirmed it as a systematic and efficient problem formulation method for the task-oriented design of robot kinematics. However, our previous research was limited in two ways. First, it gave only a local optimum due to its use of a local optimization technique. Second, it used constant weights for a cost function chosen by the manual weights tuning algorithm, thereby showing low efficiency in finding an optimal solution. To overcome these two limitations, therefore, this paper presents a global optimization technique and an adaptive weights tuning algorithm to solve a formulated problem using the Grid Method. The efficiencies of the proposed algorithms have been confirmed through the kinematic design examples of various robot manipulators.

  • An SADT-based methodology is presented for systematically analyzing the container working process in container terminal, as well as an object-oriented design method for an integrated information system for container terminal resource planning and management. Our design architecture is composed of four levels, activity interface, activity PDCA control, human resource management, and facility resource management. Especially, the consideration of the human resource management level makes it possible to support cooperative tasks, to make the authority and responsibility on a task clear, and to extremely promote the balance between human and facility resources. Finally, The system architecture is suggested for Virtual Container Terminal, in which a planned container working process is simulated for previous feasibility check, work orders are transferred to control real devices, and to manage the entire process and related data.

  • 분산처리 시스템을 위한 소프트웨어 개발 방법 및 이를 지원하는 프레임워크의 개발은 분산처리 시스템을 위한 좋은 소프트웨어의 개발을 위해 매우 필요한 일이라 할 수 있다. 즉, 분산처리 시스템을 위한 신뢰성 있고 적합성과 확장성을 가진 소프트웨어의 개발은 매우 중요한 일이다. 자치적 분산처리 시스템(Autonomous Decentralized Systems)은 온라인 확장성과 온라인 유지보수성 및 fault tolerance기능을 가진 분산처리 시스템이다. 이 논문에서는 자치적 분산처리 시스템을 위한 객체지향 소프트웨어 개발을 지원하는 프레임워크에 대하여 논한다. 이 프레임워크는 객체지향 요구 분석과 객체지향 설계, 구현, 프로세서에 타스크(task)의 할당, 검증 및 유지보수로 구성되어 있으며, 온라인 확장성과 온라인 변경성(modifiability)을 지원한다. 자치적 분산처리 애플리케이션 소프트웨어 개발을 지원하는 프레임워크는 객체지향 computation 모델을 근간으로 하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 프레임워크외에도 자치적 분산처리 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 CASE(Computer Aided Software Engineering) 환경에 대하여서도 논한다.

  • In this paper we describe the design and implementation of Electrical Ground Support Equipment(EGSE) for the CBS transponder testing. The main task of EGSE is to check out satellite systems, at system or subsystem level, during integration and validation phases of their life-cycle. Through a combination of hardware and software elements, EGSE supports manual, semi-automatic and fully automated testing. Automation is achieved by offering users simple, yet powerful means to write their own test application programs (test sequences) in high-level, test-oriented language and to run them in a strict real-time environment. The core of this environment is a user-configurable real-time database, containing all the information needed to calibrate acquired data, check them against predefined thresholds, automatically react to out-of-range conditions, display data using animated graphics or synoptic windows, and so on.

  • 대화 에이전트와 관련된 지금까지의 연구는 대개 대상 도메인을 한정하고, 특정 목적을 달성하기 위해 사용자와 대화할 수 있는 에이전트에 관한 연구가 많았다. 본 연구에서는 도메인이 한정되지 않은 일반 도메인 대화에서 화행(speech act)정보를 수동으로 부착시켜 구축한 말뭉치에 대해 소개하고 이 말뭉치를 토대로 자동으로 화행을 분류할 수 있는 유용한 자질들을 선보인다. 그리고 도메인이 한정된 말뭉치와 도메인이 한정되지 않은 말뭉치를 자동으로 화행분류해 본 실험한 결과를 비교하였다.
