음성명령에 의한 모바일로봇의 실시간 무선원격 제어 실현 (Real-Time Implementation of Wireless Remote Control of Mobile Robot Based-on Speech Recognition Command)

  • In this paper, we present a study on the real-time implementation of mobile robot to which the interactive voice recognition technique is applied. The speech command utters the sentential connected word and asserted through the wireless remote control system. We implement an automatic distance speech command recognition system for voice-enabled services interactively. We construct a baseline automatic speech command recognition system, where acoustic models are trained from speech utterances spoken by a microphone. In order to improve the performance of the baseline automatic speech recognition system, the acoustic models are adapted to adjust the spectral characteristics of speech according to different microphones and the environmental mismatches between cross talking and distance speech. We illustrate the performance of the developed speech recognition system by experiments. As a result, it is illustrated that the average rates of proposed speech recognition system shows about 95% above.

Teachers Solving Mathematics Problems: Lessons from their Learning Journeys

  • This paper reports on the learning journeys in mathematical problem solving of 21 teachers enrolled on a Masters of Education course entitled Discrete Mathematics and Problem Solving. It draws from the reports written by these teachers on their personal journeys: the commonalities and differences among them in terms of how they look at their own problem solving experiences, what language they employ in talking about problem solving, and what impact the course has on their views about problem solving. One particular aspect of problem solving instruction, a pedagogical innovation called the Practical Worksheet, is addressed in some detail. These graduate students are full-time mathematics teachers with at least two years of classroom experience. They include primary and secondary teachers.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the planning of adolescents preferred space, and fur the purpose of the study analyzed the spaces made by them in the web site where 3-dimension space manipulating is possible and captured their consciousness of space. The study was to interview 60 adolescents in the web-site by video chatting and observation by video ethnography. The results are as follows. 1) Three-dimension space is where adolescents express their present preference for spaces of residence, leisure and outer activities, and where they reveal their desire to be realized in the future. 2) Adolescents foster friendship in the cyberspace, where they meet friends and enjoy talking and share their desire for space creation which is hardly come true in reality. 3) It is possible to grasp their latent preference of space, and actualization of the cyber preference would give them more satisfaction.

Logical Activity Recognition Model for Smart Home Environment

  • Recently, studies that interact with human and things through motion recognition are increasing due to the expansion of IoT(Internet of Things). This paper proposed the system that recognizes the user's logical activity in home environment by attaching some sensors to various objects. We employ Arduino sensors and appreciate the logical activity by using the physical activitymodel that we processed in the previous researches. In this System, we can cognize the activities such as watching TV, listening music, talking, eating, cooking, sleeping and using computer. After we produce experimental data through setting virtual scenario, then the average result of recognition rate was 95% but depending on experiment sensor situation and physical activity errors the consequence could be changed. To provide the recognized results to user, we visualized diverse graphs.

  • This paper presents a speaker recognition system intended for use in human-robot interaction. The proposed speaker recognition system can achieve significantly high performance in the Ubiquitous Robot Companion (URC) environment. The URC concept is a scenario in which a robot is connected to a server through a broadband connection allowing functions to be performed on the server side, thereby minimizing the stand-alone function significantly and reducing the robot client cost. Instead of giving a robot (client) on-board cognitive capabilities, the sensing and processing work are outsourced to a central computer (server) connected to the high-speed Internet, with only the moving capability provided by the robot. Our aim is to enhance human-robot interaction by increasing the performance of speaker recognition with multiple microphones on the robot side in adverse distant-talking environments. Our speaker recognizer provides the URC project with a basic interface for human-robot interaction.

Q방법론을 활용한 여자 간호대학생의 분노표현 양상 탐색 (Exploration of Anger Expression Patterns of Female Nursing Students using Q Methodology)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify subjective perception types on anger expression among female nursing students and to investigate characteristics according to the subjective perception types. In order to achieve this purpose, the study used Q-methodology. There were 30 study participants and they completed the Q-sort activity, rating each statement relative to the others using 32 Q statements. The data were analyzed using the QUANL PC program. There were three types of forms extracted from anger expressions among female nursing students; a type on 'embracive soothing', a type on 'reasonable expression', and a type on 'ambivalence over emotional expression'. The commonality of the three types were: talking about their anger emotions with others, asking for help in religion and pushing their opponent. Therefore, Adequate strategies based on anger expression types need to be developed to resolve anger among female nursing students.

  • 2010년 이래 '국격'이라는 말이 정치지도자들이나 네티즌들 사이에 많이 회자되고 있다. 규격/표준은 '사실상의 표준[de facto standard]'과 '공적표준[de jure standard]'이 있다. 국가품질수준을 말하는 국격은 그 국가의 헌법에 규정되고 있는 내용이다. 국가의 공적인 표준인 헌법이 아무리 수준 높게 잘 제정되고 있어도 잘 준수되지 않으면 사실상의 국격은 낮게 인식된다. 한 두 프로젝트의 성공이나 어떤 정책의 성공이 당장 국격을 향상시킬 수 있는 것은 아니다 국격을 생각하는 사람은 과학과 기술을 생각해야 하는 시대이다.

공학계열 초기경력자의 학습과 적응을 위한 조직사회화 과정 연구 (A Study on the Organization Socialization Process of Engineering Novice for the Learning and Adaptation)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the organization socialization process of engineering novice for the learning and adaptation. Qualitative case study was performed with 5 participants and the collected qualitative data were analyzed using funnel-like method. The findings showed that the organization socialization process proceed in three steps-anticipatory, encounter, and metarmorphosis. Engineering Novice look at the whole organization socialization proces of organization culture and job maladjustment, and the relationship between internal and external organizations to overcome the difficulties arising from the community through the process of becoming a full participant. Socialization of engineering novice is ultimately the organization to respond to new situations and changes in the learning process takes place in the process, talking about a major resource for human resources. This enables organizations to socialize and harmonious human relationships within the organization so that it can be more important than anything else.

  • 원거리 음성인식에서 인식률의 성능향상을 위해 필수적인 다채널 마이크 환경에서 방 안의 도처에 분산되어있는 원거리 마이크를 사용하여 TV, 조명 등의 주변 환경을 음성으로 제어하고자 한다. 이를 위해 각 채널의 인식결과를 통합하여 최적의 결과를 얻고자 채널의N-best 결과와 N-best 결과에 포함된 hypothesis의 frame-normalized likelihood 값을 사용하여 Bayesian network을 훈련하고 인식결과를 통합하여 최선의 결과를 decision 하는데 사용함으로써 원거리 음성인식의 성능을 향상시키고 또한 hands-free 응용을 현실화하기위한 방향을 제시한다.
