  • In the construction of successful fuzzy models and/or controllers for nonlinear systems, the identification of a good fuzzy inference system is an important yet difficult problem, which is traditionally accomplished by a time-consuming trial-and-error process. In this paper, we propose a systematic identification procedure for complex multi-input single-output nonlinear systems with DNA coding method. A DNA coding method is optimization algorithm based on biological DNA as conventional genetic algorithms(GAs) are. The strings in the DNA coding method are variable-length strings, while standard GAs work with a fixed-length coding scheme. the DNA coding method is well suited to learning because it allows a flexible representation of a fuzzy inference system. We also propose a new coding method fur applying the DNA coding method to the identification of fuzzy models. This coding scheme can effectively represent the zero-order Takagi-Sugeno(TS) fuzzy model. To acquire optimal TS fuzzy model with higher accuracy and economical size, we use the DNA coding method to optimize the parameters and the number of fuzzy inference system. In order to demonstrate the superiority and efficiency of the proposed scheme, we finally show its application to a Duffing-forced oscillation system.

  • Difficulties of the level control in the steam generator are increased due to their nonlinear characteristics. Futhermore, parameter uncertainties of the steam generator is related with control performance and stability. The efficiency of digital conversion in control systems is proved in many recent researches. In order to solve this problem, this paper suggests robust digital fuzzy controller design methodologies of the steam generator which have unstable parameters. Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is used to construct a fuzzy model which has uncertainties in the steam generator. In designing procedure, intelligent digital redesign method is used to control the nonlinear system. This digital controller keeps the performance of the analog controller. Simulation examples are included for ensuring the proposed control method.

  • This paper addresses a fuzzy controller for nonlinear systems control using a pole placement in a specified disk and fuzzy controller is redesign for Intelligent digital redesign method. for nonlinear system, we obtain continuous time state feedback gain that guarantee stability of globally TS fuzzy system. The feedback gain is satified pole placement in a specified disk region so that the closed loop system is stable, For digital control redesgin of continuous time TS fuzzy model, we does state matching and obtain feedback gain of digital controller. Finally, it is shown that the proposed method is feasible through a computer simulation.

  • This paper addresses the analysis and design of fuzzy control systems for a class of complex uncertain single-input single-output nonlinear systems. The proposed method represents the nonlinear system using a Takagi-Cugeno fuzzy model and construct a global fuzzy logic controller by blending all local state feedback controllers with a sliding mode controller. Unlike the commonly used parallel distributed compensation technique, we can design a global stable fuzzy controller without finding a common Lyapunov function for all local control systems, and can obtain good tracking performance by using sliding mode control theory. Furthermore, stability analysis is carried out not for the fuzzy model but for the real nonlinear system with uncertainties. Duffing forced oscillation sysmte is used as an example to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we develop an optimal intelligent digital redesign method for a class of fuzzy-model-based controllers, effective for stabilization of continuous-time complex nonlinear systems. Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is used to extend the results of the classical digital redesign technique to complex nonlinear systems. Unlike the conventional intelligent digital redesign technique reported in the literature, the proposed method utilized the recently developed LMI optimization technique to obtain a digitally redesigned fuzzy-model-based controller. Precisely speaking, the intelligent digital redesign problem is converted to an equivalent optimization problem, and the LMI optimization method is used to find the digitally redesigned fuzzy-model-based controller. A numerical example is provided to evaluate the feasibility of the proposed approach.

  • In this paper, a direct model reference adaptive fuzzy control (MRAFC) scheme is developed for the plant model whose structure is represented by the MIMO Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model. The MRAFC scheme is proposed to provide asymptotic tracking of a reference signal lot the systems with uncertain or slowly time-varying parameters. The developed control law and adaptive law guarantee that all signals in the closed-loop system are bounded. In addition, the plant state tracks the state of the reference model asymptotically with time tot any bounded reference input signal.

  • In this paper, we propose a systematic method for intelligent digital redesign of a fuzzy-model-based controller for continuous-time nonlinear dynamical systems which may also contain uncertainties. The continuous-time uncertain TS fuzzy model is first constructed to represent the uncertain nonlinear systems. An extended parallel distributed compensation(EPDC) technique is then used to design a fuzzy-model-based controller for both stabilization and tracking. The designed continuous-time controller is then converted to an equivalent discrete-time controller by using an integrated intelligent digital redesign method. This new design technique provides a systematic and effective framework for integration of the fuzzy-model-based control theory and the advanced digital redesign technique for nonlinear dynamical systems with uncertainties. Finally, The single link flexible-joint robot arm is used as an illustrative example to show the effectiveness and the feasibility of the developed design method.

  • In this paper, a new design methodology for the optimal control of nonlinear systems described by the TS(Takagi-Sugeno) fuzzy model is proposed. First, a new theorem concerning the optimal stabilizing control of a general nonlinear dynamic system is proposed. Next, based on the proposed theorem and the inverse optimal approach, an optimal controller synthesis procedure for a TS fuzzy system is given, Also, it is shown that the optimal controller can be found by solving a linear matrix inequality problem. Finally, the proposed method is applied to the attitude control of a rigid spacecraft to demonstrate its validity.

  • In this paper, we develop the intelligent digitally redesigned fuzzy controller for nonlinear systems. Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is used to model the nonlinear systems and a continuous-time fuzzy-model-based controller is designed based on the extended parallel-distributed-compensation(EPDC) method . The digital controllers are determined from existing analogue controllers. The proposed method provides an accurate and effective method for digital control of continuous-time nonlinear systems and enables us to efficiently implement a digital controller via the pre-determined continuous-time 75 fuzzy-model-based controller. We have applied the proposed method to the duffing forced oscillation system to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
