복합재료를 이용한 유동유체 환경하의 각종 구조물의 캐비테이션 침식손상의 최소화 방안 (Minimizing of Cavitation-Erosion Damage for Various Structures using Composites under the various Condition of Fluid Flow Systems)

  • This study is mainly concerned with phenomenon of cavitation-erosion on the several materials and corrosive liquids which were applied with vibrator (suggested by ASTM G-32, 20KHZ, 24{$mu}m$).The main results obtained are summarized as follows ; (1) The maximum erosion rate by cavitation erosion in both of fresh-water and sea-water appeared to be proportioned to their hardness and tensile strength. (2) Cavitation weight loss and rate of cast iron in sea-water condition were greater (approximately 3 times) than that in distilled-water condition, however in case of stainless and brass the cavitation weight loss and their rates were not so different in both of their conditions. (3) Cavitation weight loss of composite materials were shown as below on this test, DuraTough DL : Weight loss in sea-water condition were greater (approximately 2.3 times) than it's fresh-water condition. (4) As the result of observation with digital camea of specimens, the main tendency of cavitation erosion for metals, was that small damaged holes causing by cavitation e개sion was appeared with radial pattern, and composites materials was that small damaged holes were appeared randomly.

  • Deschampsia antarctica is the only monocot that thrives in the tough conditions of the Antarctic region. It is an invaluable resource for the identification of genes associated with tolerance to various environmental pressures. In order to identify genes that are differentially regulated between greenhouse-grown and Antarctic field-grown plants, we initiated a detailed gene expression analysis. Antarctic plants were collected and greenhouse plants served as controls. Two different cDNA libraries were constructed with these plants. A total of 2,112 cDNA clones was sequenced and grouped into 1,199 unigene clusters consisting of 243 consensus and 956 singleton sequences. Using similarity searches against several public databases, we constructed a functional classification of the ESTs into categories such as genes related to responses to stimuli, as well as photosynthesis and metabolism. Real-time PCR analysis of various stress responsive genes revealed different patterns of regulation in the different environments, suggesting that these genes are involved in responses to specific environmental factors.

  • Double walled carbon nanotubes (DWCNTs) are considered an ideal model for studying the coupling interactions between different concentric shells in multi-walled CNTs. Due to their intrinsic coaxial structures they are mechanically, thermally, and structurally more stable than single walled CNTs. Geometrically, owing to the buffer-like function of the outer tubes in DWCNTs, the inner tubes exhibit exciting transport and optical properties that lend them promise in the fabrication of field-effect transistors, stable field emitters, and lithium ion batteries. In addition, by utilizing the outer tube chemistry, DWCNTs can be useful for anchoring semiconducting quantum dots and also as effective multifunctional fillers in producing tough, conductive transparent polymer films. The inner tubes meanwhile preserve their excitonic transitions. This article reviews the synthesis of DWCNTs, their electronic structure, transport, and mechanical properties, and their potential uses.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to study the aspects of sex identity in the contemporary mens fashion expressed through sexual image and taste in the half of twentieth century. The aspects of sex identity expression in the contemporary mens fashion can be classified by image, that is, homosexual, heroic, bisexual, and fetish. 1. The homosexual image has shown the tendency to emphasize the masculinity since 1950.60s. It can be found in \"Cowboys costume\" which is typical of American traditional fashion, and jeans and underwear fashion expressed by muscular men has homosexual characteristics which contain narcissism. 2. Based on mens traditional gender role, the heroic image emphasizes mens physical characteristics and expresses tough and offensive masculine beauty in mens suit which is free from the authority and formality. 3. The bisexual image denied the division of gender role by costume and destroyed the traditional sex model by resolutely applying womens costume such as skirts to mens fashion. 4. The fetish image is similar to bisexual image in that they wear womens costume, but different in that it expresses sexual desire or fantasy. It is expressed through brilliant color, leather and metal ornaments, and sensual element of women which emphasizes \"body\". This shows the sex identity of contemporary men who want more sensible and free life.sible and free life.

초등학교 고학년 아동의 성격특성과 남녀평등의식 (A Study on the Awareness of Gender Equality and Personality Traits in Students in Upper Grades of Elementary School)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relation between personality traits and awareness of gender equality. Method: A descriptive survey design was used and 688 students in fifth and sixth grades in 3 elementary schools were selected as participants. Result: 1. Level of gender equality awareness among the students was 2.82. This is higher than average and was most influenced by awareness of family life, followed by awareness in education, work environment and social-cultural life. 2. Students with higher levels of extraversion-introversion had higher levels of awareness of gender equality in family life, work environment, and education. Students with higher levels of tough-mindedness showed lower levels of gender equality awareness in family life and work environment, while those with higher levels of lying showed lower levels of gender equality awareness in social-cultural life. Conclusion: Personality traits and awareness of gender equality were correlated to some degree. However, in order to understand the characteristics of childhood personality traits and the behaviors of our children though the mediation of the gender equality awareness as society changes, and to let them grow with understanding of gender equality, it is essential to implement various kinds of education in families, schools, and the society.

Thermal distortion analysis method for TMCP steel structures using shell element

  • As ships become larger, thicker and higher tensile steel plate are used in shipyard. Though special chemical compositions are required for high-tensile steels, recently they are made by the TMCP (Thermo-Mechanical control process) methodology. The increased Yield / Tensile strength of TMCP steels compared to the normalized steel of same composition are induced by suppressing the formation of Ferrite and Pearlite in favor of strong and tough Bainite while being transformed from Austenite. But this Bainite phase could be vanished by another additional thermal cycle like welding and heating. As thermal deformations are deeply related by yield stress of material, the study for prediction of plate deformation by heating should niflect the principle of TMCP steels. The present study is related to the development of an algorithm which could calculate inherent strain. In this algorithm, not only the mechanical principles of thermal deformations, but also the initial portion of Bainite is considered when calculating inherent strain. Distortion analysis results by these values showed good agreements with experimental results for normalized steels and TMCP steels during welding and heating. This algorithm has also been used to create an inherent strain database of steels in Class rule.

  • 광학적 손실은 태양전지 표면에 조사되는 빛이 태양전지 내부로 흡수되지 않고 표면에서 반사되어 발생하는 손실이다. 이러한 빛의 반사로 인한 광학적 손실을 줄이고 태양전지의 변환 효율을 높이기 위한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유리기판 표면을 습식 식각을 사용하여 표면을 거칠게 형성해 식각된 표면의 구조적 특성을 평가하였고, 분광기를 통해 식각된 표면의 광학적 특성을 분석하였다. 식각을 통해 형성되는 분화구 모양의 거친 표면은 입사되는 빛을 태양전지 내부로 재흡수하여 빛의 반사를 줄어들었고, 이에 따라 투과되는 빛이 증가하였음을 확인하였다.

Legal Considerations to Make a Successful Corporate Decision: Evidence from Prior Literature Analysis

  • Purpose - It is chaotic when doing a business without legal patterns and rules; individuals who make legal decisions without legal consideration are often protecting their interests and forgetting others. This study aims to suggest key solutions how companies can make better decision based on legal considerations through investigation comprehensive literature analysis. Research design, Data, and methodology - This research conducted qualitative textual method and a technique called 'Qualitative Comparative Analysis' (QCA) can be used to understand better why certain things change while others do not. In tough situations, QCA is a strategy for comparing several occurrences. Result - Total six considerations were founded by the QCA for better corporate decision. Based on these considerations, all stakeholders, shareholders, and every employee should nominate and vote on one person to be their leader in the organization; fair practices in choosing the governor of the organization through legal binding will bring peace and order to the company. Conclusion - It was time consuming to go through every detailed material that entails legal consideration in making corporate decision. The concept of same profile in the research is critical whereby many authors are using same concept to write their articles and books. Using pure concept from one source limits the research and gives inadequate information.

고준위방사성폐기물 심층처분장 모델링을 위한 불연속체 기반 수리-역학 복합거동 해석기법 현황 분석 (Review on Discontinuum-based Coupled Hydro-Mechanical Analyses for Modelling a Deep Geological Repository for High-Level Radioactive Waste)

  • 고준위방사성폐기물 심층처분장 내 천연방벽은 방사성핵종의 누출을 방지 및 지연할 수 있는 수리학적 특성을 갖춰야 한다. 결정질 암반의 경우 불연속면에 의해 수리학적 성능이 결정되기 때문에, 불연속면의 수리-역학적 복합거동에 대한 자세한 모사가 필요하다. 불연속체 기반 해석기법은 불연속면의 생성, 전파, 변형, 미끄러짐과 같은 복잡한 거동을 구현할 수 있어 결정질 암반 모사에 적합하다. 본 연구에서는 불연속면에서의 수리-역학 복합거동에 초점을 맞추어, UDEC, 3DEC, PFC, DDA, FRACOD, TOUGH-UDEC과 같은 상용화된 불연속체 기반 수리-역학 복합거동 해석기법을 조사하였다. 블록 기반 불연속체 해석기법의 경우 주로 불연속면 상에서 진행되는 유체 유동을 바탕으로 수리-역학 복합거동을 해석하였고, 그중 일부는 다른 수리학적 해석기법과의 결합을 통하여 모델 전체에 대한 수리-역학적 복합거동을 제공하였다. 입자 기반 불연속체 해석기법의 경우에는 입자 사이로 흐르는 유체를 반영하여 불연속체 모델 전체에 해당하는 수리-역학적 복합거동 모사가 가능하다. 현재까지 상용화된 불연속체 기반 복합거동 해석기법은 2차원 해석만 제공하거나, 수리학적 해석 성능이 떨어지고, 불연속면에서의 유체 유동만 고려되거나, 자세한 수리학적 해석을 지원하지 않는 등의 한계점이 있어 고준위방사성폐기물 심층처분시스템의 정확한 수리-역학 모델링에는 적합하지 않을 수 있다. 본 기술보고에서 검토한 다양한 해석기법들의 장단점을 참고하여 향후 처분시스템을 정확하고 자세하게 모사할 수 있는 불연속체 기반 수리-역학 복합거동 해석기법의 개발이 필요하다.

해양지중에 저장된 이산화탄소의 단층을 통한 누출 위험 평가에 관한 수치해석 연구 (A Numerical Study on the CO2 Leakage Through the Fault During Offshore Carbon Sequestration)

  • $CO_2$ 배출을 줄이기 위해서 최근 $CO_2$ 포집 및 저장 기술에 관한 연구가 전세계적으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내에서는 해양퇴적층을 대상으로 한 $CO_2$ 저장 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이러한 $CO_2$ 저장 연구에서 가장 중요한 요소 중 하나는 안전성 확보이다. 지중저장의 안전성 확보를 위해서 저장 $CO_2$의 누출 가능성과 누출 특성을 예측하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 해양지중에 저장된 $CO_2$가 단층을 통하여 누출될 수 있는 시나리오를 가정한 후, 지중공간 내 $CO_2$ 확산 및 누출 거동을 TOUGH2-MP ECO2N을 사용하여 시뮬레이션 하였다. 대상 저장지는 150 m 수심의 대륙붕 해저 825 m 지점에 있는 두께 150 m의 대염수층이고, 누출이 진행되는 경로는 주입정에서 1,000 m 떨어진 단층이다. 저장된 $CO_2$는 주입 압력과 밀도차에 의한 부력에 의해서 이동하게 된다. $CO_2$가 해수면으로 누출되기 위해서는 주입정에서 인가된 압력차가 $CO_2$를 단층 하단에 도달할 수 있게 할 만큼 충분히 커야 한다. 단층 하단에 도달한 $CO_2$는 추가적인 압력 구배가 없어도 부력에 의해서 누출된다. $CO_2$ 주입과 동시에 공극수는 $CO_2$가 누출되기 전까지 지속적으로 해저면으로 누출된다. $CO_2$가 해저면에 도착하면 공극수의 누출은 중단되고, 누출되는 $CO_2$질량에 상응하는 해수가 부력의 반대 작용으로 인해 단층으로 유입되는 것으로 계산되었다. 주입량이 누출에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위하여 연간 $CO_2$ 주입량 100만 톤, 75만 톤, 50만 톤 에 대한 민감도분석을 수행하였으며, 누출이 일어난 시점은 주입 후 각각 11.3 년, 15.6년, 23.2년으로 계산되었다. 또한, 주입이 종료 된 이후에도 누출은 특정 기간 동안 지속되는 것으로 계산되었다. 누적 주입량 대비 누적 누출량은 연간 $CO_2$ 주입량이 100만 톤, 75만 톤, 50만 톤인 경우, 각각 19.5%, 11.5%, 2.8% 이다.
