In the trend of the multi-functionalization, miniaturization, and increased power output trends of flexible and stretchable electronic devices, the development of materials or structures with superior heat transfer characteristics has become a pressing issue. Traditional thermal interface materials (TIM) fail to meet the heat dissipation requirements of flexible and stretchable electronic devices, which must endure rapid bending, twisting, and stretching. To address this challenge, there is a demand for the development of TIM that simultaneously possesses high thermal conductivity and stretchability. This paper examines the research trends of liquid metal, carbon, and ceramic-based stretchable thermal interface materials and explores effective strategies for enhancing their thermal and mechanical properties.
Purpose: As PET-MRI which has excellent soft tissue contrast is developed as integration system, many researches about clinical application are being conducted by comparing with existing display equipments. Because PET-MRI is actively used for head and neck cancer diagnosis in our hospital, lymph node metastasis before the patient's surgery was diagnosed and clinical usefulness of head and neck cancer PET-MRI scan was evaluated using pathological opinions and idiopathy surrounding tissue metastasis evaluation method. Materials and Methods: Targeting 100 head and neck cancer patients in SNUH from January to August in 2013. $^{18}F-FDG$ (5.18 MBq/kg) was intravenous injected and after 60 min of rest, torso (body TIM coil, Vibe-Dixon) and dedication (head-neck TIM coil, UTE, Dotarem injection) scans were conducted using $Bio-graph^{TM}$ mMR 3T (SIEMENS, Munich). Data were reorganized using iterative reconstruction and lymph node metastasis was read with Syngo.Via workstation. Subsequently, pathological observations and diagnosis before-and-after surgery were examined with integrated medical information system (EMR, best-care) in SNUH. Patient's diagnostic information was entered in each category of $2{\times}2$ decision matrix and was classified into true positive (TP), true negative (TN), false positive (FP) and false negative (FN). Based on these classified test results, sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, false negative and false positive rate were calculated. Results: In PET-MRI scan results of head and neck cancer patients, positive and negative cases of lymph node metastasis were 49 and 51 cases respectively and positive and negative lymph node metastasis through before-and-after surgery pathological results were 46 and 54 cases respectively. In both tests, TP which received positive lymph node metastasis were analyzed as 34 cases, FP which received positive lymph node metastasis in PET-MRI scan but received negative lymph node metastasis in pathological test were 4 cases, FN which received negative lymph node metastasis but received positive lymph node metastasis in pathological test was 1 case, and TN which received negative lymph node metastasis in both two tests were 50 cases. Based on these data, sensitivity in PET-MRI scan of head and neck cancer patient was identified to be 97.8%, specificity was 92.5%, accuracy was 95%, FN rate was 2.1% and FP rate was 7.00% respectively. Conclusion: PET-MRI which can apply the acquired functional information using high tissue contrast and various sequences was considered to be useful in determining the weapons before-and-after surgery in head and neck cancer diagnosis or in the evaluation of recurrence and remote detection of metastasis and uncertain idiopathy cervical lymph node metastasis. Additionally, clinical usefulness of PET-MRI through pathological test and integrated diagnosis and follow-up scan was considered to be sufficient as a standard diagnosis scan of head and neck cancer, and additional researches about the development of optimum MR sequence and clinical application are required.

In this study, the effect of forage sources in the total mixed ration (TMR) on in vitro goat rumen fermentation was investigated. Rice straw (RS), Italian ryegrass (IRG), timothy (TIM), and alfalfa (ALF) were used as forage sources. Each forage source was mixed with a commercial goat concentrate diet in the ratio of 1:1. Total 4 TMR were prepared. Rumen simulated in vitro fermentation using goat rumen fluid collected from the slaughterhouse was conducted until 72th. For fermentation parameters, gas production (GP), volatile fatty acids (VFAs), and ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) were examined. All assays were performed at 24th, 48th, and 72th h of incubation individually. Contents of crude protein and non-fibrous carbohydrate were greater in the order of RS < IRG < TIM < ALF. Significant treatment effects were found in valerate and NH3-N at 24th h of incubation (p<0.05). ALF showed the greatest contents of them and RS was the lowest. At 48th incubation, a significant effect was detected at GP (p<0.05) and RS was greater than others. However, GP of RS was lower than others at 72th. Significant effects on Total VFA, butyrate, and valerate productions were found at 72th h of incubation (p<0.05). ALF showed the greatest production. Methane production from all treatments was not significantly different for each incubation time (p>0.05). The present study provided primary information on how goat rumen fermentation responds to different nutrient contents and forage sources of TMR. And the information could be used for the design or optimizing economical diet formulation for goats.
Diode laser sensor for measuring gas temperature and species concentration in combustion chamber was developed using 2.0 tim distributed feed back lasers. To evaluate the measurement sensitivity of diode laser sensor system, CO2 survey spectra near 2.0 Um were measured and compared with the calculated one. This diode laser absorption sensor was applied to measure gas temperatures in a premixed flat flame of CH$_4$-air mixture. Experimental results were in good agreement with the values by an R-type thermocouple within 6.12%. In addition, successful demonstration of measurement of gas temperature and species concentration in a soot flame showed the promising possibility of diode laser absorption sensors for practical combustion system with non-intrusive method.
Pseudomonas sp. NGK1, isolated by naphthalene enrichment culture technique, is capable of degrading anthracene as a sole source of carbon and energy. The organism degraded anthracene through the intermediate formation of 1,2-dihydroxyanthracene, 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid, salicylate, and catechol. The intermediates were isolated and characterized by TLC, spectrophotometry, and HPLC analysis. The cell free extract of anthracene-grown cells showed activities of anthracene dioxygenase, 2-hydroxy-3-naphthylaldehyde dehydrogenae, 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoate hydroxylase, salicylate hydroxylase and catechol 2,3-dioxygenase. The formed catechol as a metabolite is degraded through meta-cleavage with the formation of ${\alpha}$-hydroxymuconic semi-aldehyde.

In performance-based design methods, it is clear that the evaluation of the nonlinear response is required. The methods available to the design engineer today are nonlinear tim history analyses, or monotonic static nonlinear analyses, or equivalent static analyses with simulated inelastic influences. The nonlinear time analysis is the most accurate method in computing the nonlinear response of structures, but it is time-consuming and necessitate more efforts. Some codes proposed the capacity spectrum method based on the nonlinear static analysis to determine earthquake-induced demand given the structure pushover curve. This procedure is conceptually simple but iterative and time consuming with some errors. The nonlinear direct spectrum method is proposed and studied to evaluate nonlinear response of structures, without iterative computations, given by the structural linear vibration period and yield strength from the pushover analysis. The purpose of this paper is to compare the accuracy and the reliability of approximate nonlinear methods with respect to RC dual system and various earthquakes.

This paper deals with the problem of the global stabilization for a class of tension leg platform (TLP) nonlinear control systems. Problem and objective: Based on the relaxed method, the chaotic system can be stabilized by regulating appropriately the parameters of dither. Scope and method: If the frequency of dither is high enough, the trajectory of the closed-loop dithered chaotic system and that of its corresponding model-the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system can be made as close as desired. Results and conclusion: The behavior of the closed-loop dithered chaotic system can be rigorously predicted by establishing that of the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system.
Time series analysis results show the SVD is a candidate of on-line monitoring of welding penetration when the covariance matrix of a full penetration is used as a mapping function. As the reconstructed embedding vectors from the chaotic scalar time series are manipulated by the covariance matrix, the mapped tim series lie on a hyper-ellipsoid which the lengths of semi-axes are the squared eigenvalues of the covariance matrix in the case of full penetration. These visualize by two dimensional stroboscope views. The other cases like partial penetration, are different in the sense of sizes and shapes. Here we test two types of time series; the ion current and the X-ray. The ion current is better than the X-ray as an on-line monitoring signal, because the difference of the eigenvalue spectrum of the ion(between the pull penetration and partial penetration) is bigger than those of the X-ray.

This paper presents the influence of various flexural strengthening design criteria specified by three important design guidelines (ACI440, TR55, FIB14) on the resulting strength, ductility and conservativeness of FRP strengthened RC elements. Various generalised mathematical relations in non-dimensional form are presented that can be employed to develop design aids for the FRP-strengthening process. A design methodology is prescribed based on these equations enabling the designer to optimally and intuitively incorporate sufficient ductility while designing for strength. In order to better interpret conservativeness within design codes, four distinct levels of embedded conservativeness are identified, which cover the entire range of sources of conservativeness. Finally, a detailed parametric study is presented, using the proposed design equations and methodology, to determine the influence of each of these four levels of conservativeness on final design solutions. Specific criteria that are useful while calibrating design guidelines are also presented.

This paper deals with the performance analysis and design of impulse turbine for OWC type wave energy plant. Numerical analysis was performed using a commercially-available software FLUENT. This parametric study includes the variation of several important parameters such as the number and shape of blades, hub ratio and tip clearance. Since parametric study at various flow coefficients requires considerable amount of computing tim, two-dimensional analysis was employed to find out optimum principal particulars in rather simple manner. Full three-dimensional calculation was also performed for several test cases to confirm the validity of two-dimensional approach. Up to the present stage, tentative result is well demonstrating the usefulness of 2-D analysis.
