Aster species (Asteraceae) are widely distributed edible and medicinal plants, known to contain various specialized metabolites including polyphenols and saponins. However, systemic analysis on the chemical profiles of these plants have rarely been made. Here we analyzed the phytochemical constituents in leaves of 6 Aster species occurring in Korea, A. ageratoides, A. altaicus var. uchiyamae, A. glehnii, A. hispidus, A. incisus, and A. yomena, by applying a LC-MS/MS-based untargeted metabolomics approach. The analysis revealed that A. ageratoides, A. hispidus, and A. yomena are relatively rich in saponins most of which are expected to be previously unknown.

Nursing majors are a combination of theoretical and practical education, and since the advisor cannot participate in all practices in clinical practice, the efficiency and effectiveness of practical education are limited in judging the results according to students' reactions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the domestic literature on the efficiency of clinical practice of nursing college students. The analysis target was selected through PRISMA flow, and the results were derived through categorization and questioning based on content analysis. Looking at the results, research related to the adaptation of trainees was mainstream, and specifically, research related to the characteristics, conflicts, clinical practice environment, and interpersonal anguish of trainees was conducted. In addition, it was confirmed that active and systematic intervention of practical guidance professors was required, such as possible safety accidents, emotional labor problems, and dilemmas during the practice period. Through this study, it is suggested that a systematic framework for nursing and clinical practice should be prepared.
Halitosis is defined as a nasty odor emanating through the mouth and is primarily related to the enhanced concentration of volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs). VSC measurements have been commonly used for experimental comparison and clinical diagnosis. As quantitative methods for comparative analyses of oral malodor, gas chromatography devices have been most commonly used to quickly and easily determine the concentration of several gas components of VSCs, which are agents primarily responsible for halitosis. The concentrations of VSCs fluctuate dynamically depending on contributing factors, including various oral/systemic conditions, intake of medicine and food/drink, oral hygiene, and even routine daily activities. Therefore, the exact analysis of VSCs requires the appropriate standardization of not only exact measurement techniques but also participant conditioning with scientific considerations. Thus, this paper describes the experimental standardizations commonly recommended in previous literature and their scientific background.

In this paper, Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) $SiO_2$ film properties are modeled using statistical analysis and neural networks. For systemic analysis, Box-Behnken's 3 factor design of experiments (DOE) with response surface method are used. For characterization, deposited film thickness and film stress are considered as film properties and three process input factors including plasma RF power, flow rate of $N_2O$ gas, and flow rate of 5% $SiH_4$ gas contained at $N_2$ gas are considered for modeling. For film thickness characterization, regression based model showed only 0.71% of root mean squared (RMS) error. Also, for film stress model case, both regression model and neural prediction model showed acceptable RMS error. For sensitivity analysis, compare to conventional fixed mid point based analysis, proposed sensitivity analysis for entire range of interest support more process information to optimize process recipes to satisfy specific film characteristic requirements.

This study aims at analyzing the performance of Real Estate Investment Trusts(REITs) by Risk Adjustment Model. The main results are as follows. Firstly, most property types of REITs gain positive(+) excess overall returns at first and second period. On the contrary, most property types of REITs gain negative(-) excess overall returns and their standard deviations are larger at financial crisis period. Secondly, lodging, regional mall and commercial mortgage show lower risk-lower return, and freestanding, apartment and specialty show higher risk-higher return than average REITs, according to the CAPM results of . Moreover CAPM results of show the characteristics of REITs as investment commodities changes into higher risk-higher return for financial crisis period. Lastly, risk adjusted demanded returns of REITs are affected positively(+) by systemic risks and negatively(-) by unsystemic risks, according to the Risk Adjustment Model results of both and . Comparing risk adjusted demanded returns of REITs with their realized returns, healthcare reveals the largest outperformance.

Purpose : To determine whether peri-implant crestal bone loss could be affected by systemic disease, primary ISQ value, implantation method (submerged vs. non-submerged), surface treatment, and bone density Materials and methods : Patients who underwent fixture installation from June 24, 2005 to October 23, 2008 at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital were evaluated. A total of 157 patients (male: 52, female: 85) had 346 fixtures installed. Among them, 49 patients had periapical radiographs taken 1 year after prostheses were first set. A total of 97 fixtures were implanted. In particular, 30 fixtures were installed in patients with systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and liver disease. The immediate stability of implants was measured with $Osstell^{tm}$. Implant surface treatment was classified into two groups (RBM, Cellnest (Anodized)), and bone density, into four groups (D1~D4). The bone resorption on the mesial and distal areas of fixtures was measured with periapical radiographs using the paralleling technique, and the mean value was calculated. The length determination program in IMPAX (AGFA, Belgium) was used. Results : At least 332 out of 346 (96%) installed GS II implants were successfully osseointegrated 1 year after prostheses were first set. The mean value of the bone resorption of the installed GS II implants was 0.44mm. The minimum value was 0mm, and the maximum value, 2.85mm. There was a statistically significant difference between the implantation methods (submerged, non-submerged) with regard to the amount of alveolar bone loss 1 year after prostheses were first set (p<0.05). Non-submerged implants showed less crestal bone loss. Note, however, that other variables had no correlation with crestal bone loss (p>0.05). Conclusion : There was a statistically significant difference between the 1-stage method and 2-stage method with regard to the amount of alveolar bone loss 1 year after prostheses were first set. Systemic disease, primary ISQ value, surface treatment, and bone density were not associated with alveolar bone loss. Other variables were assumed to have a correlation with alveolar bone loss.

Objective : The aim of this study was to provide the method to measure physiologic response using equipments and auditory stimulation, and the physiologic response features of adult psychiatric disorders through a systemic review. Methods : The systemic review was executed using PubMed. The key words for search were "auditory stimulation, auditory startle, electromyograph, skin conductance, heart rate, psychiatric disorder, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, depression". 8 studies were used for data analysis, and all of levels of evidence were level II. The substances of the review were subject(population), auditory stimulation, measure equipments and physiologic response features of psychiatric disorder. Results : 1. The subjects for the studies were anxiety disorder(4) and schizophrenia(4). 2. Auditory stimulation was used in 8 studies and visual stimulation with auditory stimulation was used in 2 studies to induce physiologic response. 3. Every study used electromyograph, and skin conductance was used in 2 studies and heart rate was used in 2 studies with electromyograph to measure physiologic response. 4. The subjects for the studies, schizophrenia and anxiety disorder(PTSD, OCD) have different physiologic response features with the normal control group. Conclusion : All studies used simple tones as an auditory stimulation and electromyograph to measure physiologic response. Psychiatric disorders indicated larger response, shorter and delayed habituation. The objective and systematic study using physiologic measure to investigate the sensory feature of psychologic disorders.
The aim of this study is to investigate neutrophil activation markers among canine ICU (intensive care unit) control, systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) and sepsis. These markers include WBC (white blood cells), platelets counts, blood film examination (neutrophilic band to segmentation ratio and neutrophilic degenerative changes), and flow cytometric analysis (CD11b expression of neutrophils). As a result, the mean CD11b fluorescence intensity of neutrophils and the neutrophilic degenerative change scores were both significantly higher in sepsis group (P<0.05). In addition, mortality was also found to be correlated with the up-regulation of CD11b expression in circulating neutrophils. This study demonstrates that CD11b expression of neutrophils could be more a reliable biomarker to predict prognosis in ICU patients than traditional blood film examination according to this study.

In September 2017, the rhizospheric soil of Tetragonia tetragonoides (Pall.) Kuntze was further sampled. One hundred and thirty eight species of microorganisms were isolated from the soil. Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) production, siderophore production, and phosphate degradation were examined in order to confirm bacterial growth from isolated microorganisms. As a result, most strains were able to produce auxins or siderophores and to solubilize phosphate. In addition, 138 isolated strains were treated with tobacco extract and conferred pathogen resistance to host plants upon treatment. As a result, 35 strains that were able to reduce pathophysiology by more the 60% were selected. Among them, 6 strains with high induced systemic resistance (ISR) activity were found. All of these strains belong to the genus Bacillus according to the 16S rDNA sequence analysis. Bacillus aryabhattai KUDC6619 showed outstanding effects with reduced infection in tobacco and pepper plants. Probably, these Bacillus species play a beneficial role by association with T. tetragonoides for its survival in the harsh conditions found on the island of Dokdo.
