Motion Synchronization Algorithm using Sinusoidal Characteristics for a Dual-cylinder Mold Oscillator (몰드 오실레이터 이중구조 실린더의 정현파 진동 특성을 이용한 위치동기화 알고리즘 개발)

  • Improvement in the control strategy for continuous casting is a crucial requirement to enhance the slab's quality and to increase productivity. The mold oscillator adopts the dual cylinders due to its heavy weight, so the synchronized motion of two cylinders is an important aspect when precise control is needed. The conventional method uses the master-slave control applied to the valve input reference, but the synchronization performance should still be improved. This paper proposes a novel synchronization algorithm for dual cylinders used in a mold oscillator. The master-slave concept is applied to the target reference position, that is, the slave target reference position is controlled to match the slave cylinder's position with the master cylinder's position. In the simulation based on a Simulink model, the proposed algorithm shows a better synchronization performance in aspect of the mean of the absolute error and the peak synchronization error.

  • In order to transmit energy generated through the stator winding of a doubly-fed Induct ion generator (DFIG), we need to synchronize the generated voltage vector with the grid voltage vector. However, the existing synchronization method works only when the encoder is installed at a specific Position and equivalent constant is precise. In order to solve this Problem, a new synchronization method has been proposed and a way of applying the method to existing doubly-fed induction generator control algorithm has been also proposed. The validity of the proposed methods have been verified using a prototype converter for the control of a 1.5MW-class doubly-fed induction generator

  • This paper considers the synchronization problem of chaotic systems. For this problem, the sampled-data control approach is used to achieve asymptotic synchronization of two identical chaotic systems. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, a new stability condition is obtained via linear matrix inequality formulation to find the sampled-data feedback controller which achieves the synchronization between chaotic systems. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a numerical example in order to show the effectiveness of our results.

  • In this paper, we propose the bus/bypass synchronization phase lock loop (B-Sync PLL) method using each phase voltage controller of a parallel UPS inverter. The B-Sync PLL included in each phase voltage control system of parallel UPS inverters has the transient response and the phase synchronization error at grid normal or blackout. The validity of this method is verified by simulation and experiment. As a result, the parallel UPS inverters using the proposed method confirmed that the output phase was continuously synchronized when a grid blackout, improving the transient response characteristics for stable load power supply and equal load sharing.

  • Background : The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of functional electrical stimulation(FES) on weight distribution and synchronization of the lower extremity of patients with post-stroke. Methods : They were randomly divided into two groups, 8 people in the experimental group and 7 people in the control group. A total of 15 subjects volunteered to participate in this study. experimental groups were treatment FES training on parallel bars and control groups were FES training on chair. They was performed for 15 minute, three times in a week, for the 6 weeks. Result : The experimental group The weight distribution A, B, C, D and synchronization AB, CD, AD, BC indicating changes in statistical significance(p<.05). However, the control group only showed significantly increased weight distribution A, C(p<.05). In a variation, experimental and control groups showed significantly increased weight distribution A, B, C and synchronization AD. Conclusion : These findings suggest that the FES training on parallel bars are effective in improving the weight distribution and synchronization of lower extremity of patients with post-stroke. Further study will be continued in this method of therapeutic exercise and additional physical therapy program.

  • In this paper, we propose the mathematical algorithm for collision avoidance between the robots and for the obstacle avoidance during the operation of the several chaotic robotics. For the useful formation control and as one of the method to provide command structure of communication between the robots, we also propose the synchronization method between the robotic system and confirmed the result with the computer simulation.

  • Rel-time application programs have constraints which need to be met between media-data. It is client-leading synchronization that is absorbing variable transmission delay time and that is synchronizing by feedback control and palyout control. It is the important factor for playback rate and QoS if the buffer level is normal or not. This paper, The method of maintenance buffer normal state transmits in multimedia server by appling feedback of filtering function. And synchronization method is processing adaptive playout time for smooth presentation without cut-off while media frame is skip. When audio frame which is master media is in upper threshold buffer level we decrease play out time gradually, low threshold buffer level increase it slowly.

  • For interchange of multimedia informations and presentation as intented by objects composer, there are need to interchange format of informations and control synchronization between medias. And It is therefore need to provide a method and apparatus for synchroniztion control of multimedia objects which can control the conditional, temporal. and spatial synchronization in a MHEG engine developed to execute the functions defined as the international standards. In this paper. We propose to improved method and apparatus for synchronization control of multimedia objects which can execute the synchronized presentation by combining media data needed for presentation of multimedia information, and which enable the interactive processing between the user and the MHEG engine by allowing the user input to be processed during presentation.

  • Synchronization between media is an important aspect in the design of multimedia streaming system. This paper proposes a precise media synchronization mechanism for digital video and audio transport over IP networks. To support synchronization between video and audio bitstreams transported over IP networks, RTP/RTCP protocol suite is usually employed. To provide a precise mechanism for media synchronization between video and audio, we suggest an efficient media synchronization algorithm based on NPT (Normal Play Time) which can be derivable from the timestamp information in the header part of RTP packet generated for the transport of video and audio streams. With the proposed method, we do not need to send and process any RTCP SR (sender report) packet which is required for conventional media synchronization scheme, and accordingly could reduce the number of required UDP ports and the amount of control traffic injected into the network.

  • This paper investigates the problem of synchronization of the Pehlivan chaotic system based on sliding mode control and GA. For this, a brief overview of the Pehlivan chaotic system is given. Then, the conventional sliding mode control technique is described and a synchronization method using GA strategy is proposed. The proposed method is that the GA searched the parameters including sliding plane and control gains) selected by the designer in the sliding mode control are searched optimally through the GA. The GA in the MATLAB Toolbox was used and simulation work is shown to illustrate the effectiveness of the synchronization schemes for the chaotic system.
