슬로건은 정치행동부터 기업과 상품을 돋보이게 하는 광고의 영역에 이르기까지 널리 사용되는데, 이는 대중이나 고객에게 이미지를 좋게 하는 역할을 수행한다. 또한 대중이나 고객의 태도가 동요 적이고 미확정적일 때일수록 슬로건의 호소력은 크다. 21세기의 도래와 함께 학생이 소비자이자 고객이 되고 있는 대학은, 급변하고 있는 환경변화와 함께 대학의 브랜드가치와 인지도를 높여 강력한 파워브랜드로 자리매김할 수 있도록 획기적인 브랜드아이덴티티 전략을 수립하고 시행해야 할 시점이다. 대학의 심벌마크는 대학의 정체성과 연관성이 있고, 슬로건은 신선하고 호소력이 있어야 하며 브랜드 핵심가치를 잘 반영하고 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 시대적 변화나 라이프스타일에 따라 변하는 경영 전략 적 마케팅 프로그램으로서 개발되어야 할 대학 UI(University Identity)에서, 슬로건디자인의 시각요소들의 형태와 문장구성, 표기언어, 색상 등 심벌마크와 슬로건 조합의 이미지를 분석하고 슬로건과 심벌마크와의 디자인 상관관계를 연구하여 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 QPSK 방식을 채용하는 고속 무선 전송 시스템에 적용될 수 있는 Zero-Crossing IF-level QPSK 복조기에 대해서, 복조기에 소요되는 알고리즘들을 고찰하고 이를 구현하기 위한 H/W구조에 대해서 언급한다. Zero-Crossing IF-level QPSK 복조기를 구현하기 위해서, 비트 동기를 포착하는 심볼 동기부와 반송파 동기를 포착하는 반송파 동기부가 구현되어야 하는데, 심볼 동기부로는 Gardner 알고리즘을, 반송파 동기부로는 빠른 반송파 포착을 위한 Decision-Directed 동기화 알고리즘을 적용하여 설계, 구현하였다. 설계한 QPSK복조기를 Altera 사의 Design Compiler를 이용하여 CPLD-FLEX10K 칩에 합성해 본 결과 약 2.6 Mbps의 전송속도까지 복조 가능하였다. 설계된 Zero-Crossing IF-level QPSK 복조기를 ASIC으로 구현할 경우 CPLD속도의 5∼6 이상 고속화가 가능하므로 약 10 Mbps급 Zero-Crossing IF-level QPSK 복조가 가능하다.

본 논문은 IEEE 802.11a 무선 LAN 규격을 OFDM을 적용한 5GHz 기저 대역의 송 수신부 모뎀을 설계하고 FPGA로 실현하였다. 고속 데이터 전송시 발생하는 심벌간 간섭(ISI)을 제거하기 위하여 Normalized LMS 알고리듬을 적용한 단일탬 등화기를 사용하여 제거하였고, 또한 반송파 주파수 옵셋 알고리듬을 이용하여 채널간 간섭(ICI)을 제거하였다. 송ㆍ수신기간의 전송은 에러없이 정확히 전송되어짐을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 입증하였으며, 또한 타이밍 시뮬레이션 결과 최대 동작주파수는 20.3MHz로 IEEE 802.11a 무선 LAN 방식의 동작속도를 만족하였다. 그리고 설계시 DSP와 EMB(Embedded Memory Block)블록을 사용하여 레지스터의 수를 상당히 줄일 수 있었다. 모뎀 설계는 VHDL를 이용하여 설계하고 Altera사의 Stratix EPIS25FC672 FPGA Chip을 사용하여 구현하였다.

It is a remarkable phenomenon that tattoos has been rapidly spreading among women of modern years. The extremism of feminine ornaments, and pricking and piercing of the skin seem to have deep connection with women's consciousness changing to being independent, active and aggressive. The objective of this study is to analyze the potential quality of today's women, who appears emblematically through tattoo, and to search out the whole aspect and keynote of female tattoos. The methods of research are by examining the general characteristics including concept and history, considering the type and significance of ethnic female tattoos, and then comparing with the symbolism of today's female tattoos. The sphere is limited to women's tattoos from ancient times to today's modern lift, examined from large portions of Africa, Asia, Australasia, the Americas, and Arctic regions. As a result, the following had been reflected in female tattoos in the past. First, incantation, tribe, adult age, adornment, marital status, domestic ability and sex distinction, where among others, the incantatory, ornamental symbol, and domestic sign were representatives. Second, the most popular body parts for having a tattoo were around the lips, hands and abdominal region. Third, the more harsh the environment becomes such as tropical forests, isolated islands, and polar regions, the more number of females have tatoos. Fourth, women's tattoos were much less glamorous and smaller compared to those of men, distinguishing one's sex. On the other hand, today's female tattoos can be classified as five symbols: masculinity, independence, voluptuousness, affection, and purity. These symbols contain women's mentality to pass the limit, and to overcome social inferiority. In modern society, where women must compete with met it has become necessary for women to educe their potential masculine qualities. Being violent accessories for them, tattoos became a mark of such potential. Therefore, in the future, women's interest and demand for tattoos are expected to rise in proportion to the social demand of women's force.

The Korea Water Resources Corporation(KOWACO) proposed bidding for an alternative design for Hwabuk Multi-purpose Dam in March of 2004. The site is located in Hakseong-ri, Goro-myeon, Gunwi-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do and has adrainage area of $87.52km^2$. The purpose of this project is to establish an environmentally friendly plan for minimizing the damage that was caused by the construction of the Hwabuk Multi-purpose Dam. The design principle of KOWACO was the restoration of the natural environment, a harmonious landscape, and the creation of a space of regional and local culture. The basic concept of this project involves an ecological-restoration axis and a functional-connection axis. The site is divided into four spaces: (1) the space of memory and symbol, (2) the space of nature and ecology, (3) the space of regional and local culture, and (4) the space of the regional economy. There are four sub-spaces in the space of memory and symbol: the track forest, the time forest, the memory room, and the sun plaza. There are three sub-spaces in the space of nature and ecology: the habitat of aquatic birds, the wind forest, and the eco-corridor. There are five themed parks in the space of regional and local culture: the culture and relic room, the wildflower garden, the ecological pond, the insect observation park, and the pyogo maze. There are three areas in the space of the regional economy: the forest pension, the waterside pension, and the community center, as Dungdungi village was reorganized to serve as a lodging complex. These themed parks, working together, can offer an effective space for nature, culture, rest, and experience.

The purpose of this study was to examine the differences of the satisfaction with school uniforms according to demographic variables and to investigate the causal relations of parental control, school life satisfaction, and demographic variables to the satisfaction with school uniform. The research method was a survey method using a questionnaire. The subjects were 407 high school students (191 male, and 216 female) residing in Seoul and the suburbs of Seoul. Students were very satisfied with the convenience of not having to choose what to wear every morning, but the satisfactions with uniform cost and design were lower. The aesthetic, psychological, and status symbol satisfaction of school uniforms were higher as parents and adolescents had more communication, and the psychological and status symbol satisfaction of school uniforms were higher as the level of parental supervision for adolescents was higher. The female students had higher psychological satisfaction with school uniforms than the male students were. The aesthetic satisfaction of school uniforms was lower as mother's education level was higher. The adolescents from upper class families had lower aesthetic, psychological, and status symbol satisfaction with school uniforms than the adolescents from middle and lower class families. The satisfaction with school uniform was influenced by school life satisfaction the most, and the next in the order by grade (-), the social class (-), and the communication with parents. The factors that influenced school life satisfaction for students were parental supervision, school records, the discipline consistency of parents, and their communication with their parents. Therefore, the 4 variables had indirect effect on the satisfaction with school uniform through school life satisfaction.

H.264/AVC에서 압축 효율을 향상시키기 위해 사용된 엔트로피 코딩(entropy coding)중에 CABAC(Context-based Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding)은 하드웨어 복잡도가 높고 비트 시리얼 과정에서 데이터 의존도(data dependancy)가 존재하기 때문에 빠른 연산이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 H.264/AVC에 사용되는 CABAC의 핵심부분의 이진 산술 부호화기 (binary arithmetic encoder)의 정규화 과정을 효율적으로 구성하여 각 입력 심벌 정규화 과정의 반복횟수에 관계없이 매 클럭에 입력 심벌이 부호화 되도록 하였다. 또한 제한된 하드웨어로 인해 발생하는 캐리 발생 문제를 처리기 위해 채택된 bistOutstanding을 127까지 처리할 수 있으며 동시에 입력 심벌을 지연(stall) 없이 부호화 할 수 있다. 3단 파이프라인으로 구성된 구조는 동부 아남 $0.18{\mu}m$ 표준 셀 라이브러리를 사용하여 합성한 결과 최대 290MHz로 동작한다.

The purpose of this study is to apply iconology to discover the symbolic system of imaginary animals focused on four representative auspicious animals in Korean folk paintings. Study methods included literature review of folk paintings, iconological analytics books, and articles. A total of 16 folk paintings of four auspicious animals in the Joseon Dynasty were analyzed using Panofsky's iconology. The four auspicious animals were Yong(dragon), Bonghwang(the eastern version of the phoenix), Shingoo (divine turtle), and Kirin(one-horned combination of a dragon and horse). According to iconological analysis, Yong is a typical symbol of royal authority, a deity of water as an object of respect with a remarkable talent of transformation, and in iconographical interpretation, represents reverence for transcendent power. Bonhwang is the symbol of a king, sun worship, the emblem of nobility and integrity, and in iconographical interpretation, the psychic bing in the sky. Shingoo is fortune prophecy, longevity and immortality, an envoy of deity, and according to iconographical interpretation, the organic view of the world. Kirin is a divine benign creature, a symbol of talent and honor, mediator between sky and earth, and in iconographical interpretation, an expression of Confucian ideology. This study produced three results. First, the four auspicious animals projected the human hope to overcome human limitations through divine creatures with mythical abilities. Second, they reflected everyday common hopes and values of pursuing fortunes and happiness. Third, the four auspicious animals' iconology was not independent of each other; it seemed to be common to and combined with each other.

It was early in the $20^{th}$ century when the space was begun to say through the mutual circumstances of form and contents. Adrian Forty explained that the characteristics of space can be divided into three steps by the period: a space of enclosure, a space as continuum and a space as an extension of the body. And there is common condition that all three spaces are accompanied by the form. In the new thinking of architectural form in terms of text in modern society, architecture becomes to more complex to understanding. Saying that there is nothing outside text (Il n'y a rien en dehors du text.) in the world, Jacques Derrida insisted the world to be texted and not to be special centrality, where can be existed by difference and delay its meaning. Text is the structural meaning (sign), not a metaphorical one (symbol). Without the symbol, the architecture can be recognized as text with signing to the form. For that, there is a question how can be explained the space in terms of text extracting the meaning and the symbol. Absolutely not intended by Mies van der Rohe, but in his works of houses and pavilion, its characteristics and traces of text can be seen. If it is possible to analyse his works in the textual view, space of Mies will be found in the same direction of text. And it will be an important opportunity to re-evaluate the space of Mies works standing in the heart of Modern Architecture.

본 논문에서는 광범위 고정형 무선 통신 시스템을 위한 개선된 초기 레인징 알고리즘을 제안한다. WiBro 및 통상적인 무선 통신 시스템에서는 송 수신단 간 왕복 지연이 1개의 OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 심벌 주기 내이므로, 초기 레인징 수행 시 주파수 영역 차동 상관 방식이 일반적으로 사용된다. 그러나, 넓은 셀 범위에서는 최대 시간 지연이 증가하여 기존 기법의 적용이 불가능하며, 성능 개선을 위한 누적 차동 상관 기법의 경우 큰 시간 오프셋 발생 시 추정치의 빈번한 부호 천이로 인해 추정 오차가 발생할 여지가 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 15 km 셀 범위를 고려한 레인징 채널 구조에서 전체 시간 오프셋을 정확히 추정하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 추정치 간 부호 비교를 통해 부호 오류를 정정하고, 채널 상관도, 누적횟수 및 정규화 과정의 잡음 감소 효과를 고려하는 가중치를 적용함으로써 추정 정확도를 향상시키며, 심벌 주기의 소수배 시간 오프셋을 보상한 후 첨두치 전력을 비교함으로써 정수 배 시간 오프셋의 추정이 가능하다.
