비선형 모델기반 SRM의 고효율 직접 순시토크 제어 (A High Efficiency Direct Instantaneous Torque Control of SRM based on the Nonlinear Model)

  • This paper presents a high efficiency direct instantaneous torque control (DITC) of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) based on the nonlinear model. The DITC method can reduce the high inherent torque ripple of SRM drive system, but drive efficiency is somewhat low due to the high current and switching loss during commutations. In order to reduce a torque ripple, a fast torque reference trajectory is selected at every instantaneous rotor position. Based on the nonlinear model of SRM, the developing torque by one phase is fixed and the other phase is regulated for minimum switchings of phase switch and variation of torque. The switching during commutation can be reduced and fast commutation can be obtained in the proposed method. As a result, drive efficiency could be improved as well as torque ripple reduction. The validity of proposed method is verified by computer simulations and comparative experiments.

내부 손실이 고려된 LLC 공진형 하프브릿지 컨버터의 정상상태 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Steady State Characteristics of LLC Resonant Half Bridge Converter Considering Internal Losses)

  • 본 논문에서는 LLC 공진형 하프브릿지 컨버터의 내부손실이 반영된 등가회로를 제안하고, 손실 요소가 포함된 정상상태 특성식을 유도하였다. 그 결과를 이용하여 입출력 전압이득과 입력 임피던스의 주파수 특성을 무손실 모델과 비교하였다. 제안한 모델과 유도식을 검증하기 위해서 최대 전력이 1kW급인 LLC 공진형 하프브릿지 컨버터의 전원장치의 주요 소자를 동일한 조건에서 선정하여 전압이득과 입력 임피던스와 같은 정상상태 특성을 비교하였다. 특히 두 가지 모델에 대한 정상상태 오차를 보다 면밀하게 비교하기 위해서 실제 회로 설계 단계에서 가장 중요하게 고려되는 부하 전류에 대한 스위칭 주파수의 변화를 관찰 하였다. 그 결과 본 논문에서 제안한 모델과 해석 결과로부터 동작 주파수의 오차가 상당 부분 개선되었다는 것을 확인 하였다.

  • This paper proposes a switching frequency reduction method for MMC (Modular Multilevel Converter) utilizing redundancy operation of sub-module, which can offer reduction of voltage harmonics and switching loss. The feasibility of proposed method was verified through computer simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software. Based on simulation analysis, a hardware scaled-model of 10kVA, DC-1000V MMC was designed and manufactured in the lab. Various experiments were conducted to verify the feasibility of proposed method in the actual hardware system. The hardware scaled-model can be effectively utilized for analyzing the performance of MMC according to the modulation scheme and redundancy operation.

Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control of AC/DC Matrix Converter for Grid-Connected Battery Energy Storage Application

  • This paper presents a finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) strategy for the AC/DC matrix converter used in grid-connected battery energy storage system (BESS). First, to control the grid current properly, the DC current is also included in the cost function because of input and output direct coupling. The DC current reference is generated based on the dynamic relationship of the two currents, so the grid current gains improved transient state performance. Furthermore, the steady state error is reduced by adding a closed-loop. Second, a Luenberger observer is adopted to detect the AC input voltage instead of sensors, so the cost is reduced and the reliability can be enhanced. Third, a switching state pre-selection method that only needs to evaluate half of the active switching states is presented, with the advantages of shorter calculation time, no high dv/dt at the DC terminal, and less switching loss. The robustness under grid voltage distortion and parameter sensibility are discussed as well. Simulation and experimental results confirm the good performance of the proposed scheme for battery charging and discharging control.

  • 능동 자기베어링의 바이어스 선형화 방법은 자기베어링의 동역학적 성능과 선형성을 확보하지만, 바이어스 전류에 의한 상시 소모전력이 발생하여 시스템의 효율이 저하된다. 반면, 스위칭 제어기는 바이어스 전류를 사용하지 않아 베어링의 소비 전력을 최소화할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 능동 자기베어링 시스템에 적용되는 스위칭 제어기와 동기 노치필터를 포함하는 비례-미분 제어기의 성능을 비교하였다. 공정하고 객관적인 비교를 위해 기준제어기인 동기 노치필터 제어기를 합리적으로 설계하고, 스위칭 제어기가 기준제어기와 동일한 동역학 특성을 갖도록 하였다. 회전축의 굽힘 유연모드 및 센서와 증폭기의 특성을 포함하는 시스템의 동역학 모델을 수립하고 성능 비교 지표를 수립하였다. 불평형 질량에 응답 측면에서 제어기를 비교하여, 저속 영역에서 스위칭 제어기가 기준제어기 대비 10 배 이상 동손을 저감할 수 있으나, 회전축의 굽힘 유연모드와 일치하는 회전 속도 근방에서는 스위칭 제어기가 유효하지 않음을 확인하였다.

단말기 유통법에 관한 연구: 보조금 규제의 영향 (Study on Mobile Terminal Distribution Act: Effects of Subsidy Regulations)

  • Purpose - This paper analyzes the effect of the handset subsidy and the Mobile Number Portability subscriber subsidy regulation, which are the main regulation adopted in "Law on the Improvement of the Mobile Terminal Distribution System" (Mobile Terminal Distribution Act), on the social surplus, the consumer surplus and profits of telecommunications carriers. We focus our analysis on whether the service charge competition is stimulated enough so that it can compensate for the loss of subsidies. Research design, data, and methodology - We use simple economic model to assess the impact of the handset subsidy and the Mobile Number Portability subscriber subsidy regulation. Unlike the former researches on this topic, we depart from using Hotelling model, and instead use the switching cost model, which uses switching cost as a parameter of market powers of telecommunications carriers. We also study the effect of the two different regulations when they are adopted both independently and concurrently. Results - If the market powers of telecommunications carriers are over certain threshold, contrary to the regulatory agency's assertion, the service charge competition would not be stimulated enough to compensate for the deduction in the subsidies, and thus the consumer surplus is compromised. Number Portability subsidy, especially, undermines the rival's market power and thus reduces the service charge. On the other hand, the regulations will also increase the profits of telecommunications carriers. However, social surplus is maximized when both of the regulations are present because the regulations reduces the frequency of switching handsets inefficiently. Conclusions - In enacting the Mobile Terminal Distribution Act, the telecommunications regulatory agency asserted that the regulation on subsidies will stimulate service charge competition, and in the long run, enhance the consumer surplus. However, contrary to the regulatory agency's assertion, subsidy regulation, especially the regulation on Number Portability subsidy, reduces consumer surplus. On the other hand, the Mobile Terminal Distribution Act can also increase the profits of telecommunications carriers because it decreases competition among the telecommunications carriers. However, the Mobile Terminal Distribution Act can increase the social surplus because it reduces inefficient switching of handsets.

  • Relaxed Static Stability(RSS) concept has been applied to improve aerodynamic performance of modern version supersonic jet fighter aircraft. Therefore, the flight control systems are necessary to stabilizes the unstable aircraft and provides adequate handling qualities. The initial production flight control system are verified by flight test and it's always an elements of danger because of flight-critical nature of control law function and design error due to model base design method. These critical issues impact to flight safety, and it could be lead to a loss of aircraft and pilot's life. Therefore, development of an easily modifiable RFCS(Research Flight Control System) capable of reverting to a PFCS(Primary Flight Control System) of reliable control law must be developed to guarantee the flight safety. This paper addresses the concept of SSWM(Software Switching Mechanism) using the fader logic such as TFS(Transient Free Switch) based on T-50 flight control law. The result of the analysis based on non-real time simulation in-house software using SSWM reveals that the flight control system are switching between two computers without any problem.

Optimal Design of High Frequency Transformer for 150W Class Module-Integrated Converter

  • Recently, the module-integrated converter has shown an interest in the photovoltaic generation system. In this system, the high frequency transformer should be compact and efficient. The proposed method is based on the correlation characteristic between the copper and core loss to minimize the loss of transformer. By sizing an effective cross-sectional area and window area of core, the amount of loss is minimized. This paper presents the design and analysis of high frequency transformer by using the 3D finite element model coupled with DC-DC converter circuit for more accurate analysis by considering the nonlinear voltage and current waveforms in converter circuit. The current waveform in each winding is realized by using the ideal DC voltage source and switching component. And, the thermal analysis is performed to satisfy the electrical and thermal design criteria.

  • Recently, the demand for the low cost power conversion equipment is rapidly increased. To develop this three phase voltage source inverter, optimum power conversion equipment to system is designed. The optimum operation method to minimize the power loss also satisfy the life time of the power electronics that is request in the present industry. In this paper, the efficient operating method to change of the acceleration, jerk, and switching frequency in the interval of acceleration is selected to optimize the power loss and life time of the power electronics by using the elevator model. So, we proposed the method that 50[A] rating power electronics is adopted in 9[kW] load.

광 버스트 스위칭 망에서 망 고장에 대한 offset 시간 영향 분석 및 QoS를 고려한 장애 복구 기법 (Analysis of the Effect on Offset Time under Fault and Propose a New Restoration Scheme Considering QoS in OBS Networks)

  • 광 버스트 스위칭 망에서는 헤더정보와 버스트 정보를 분리하여 offset 시간 후에 버스트를 전송하는 One-Way reservation 특성을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 링크 장애와 같은 망 장애가 발생하였을 경우 offset 시간의 영향으로 선행된 헤더 정보에 대한 버스트의 추가적인 손실이 발생하여 심각한 서비스 품질 저하를 초래할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 망 장애 발생 시 광 버스트 스위칭의 가장 큰 특징인 offset 시간이 버스트 손실에 미치는 영향과 기존 장애 복구 기법을 사용하였을 경우 offset 시간에 따른 버스트 손실을 수학적 관점에서 분석하였다. 또한 offset 시간 영향으로 링크 장애 발생 시 선행된 제어 패킷으로 인해 후 행하는 버스트 손실을 최소화할 수 있는 QoS를 고려한 offset 시간 기반의 새로운 장애 복구 기법을 제안하였다.
