  • The main objective of this study is to examine the impact of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) on small and medium-sized enterprises' (SMEs) performance in the context of subcontracting buyer-supplier relation. Specifically, we seek to examine whether the power dynamics between buyer and supplier either support or hamper subcontracting SMEs' ability to effectively pursue EO for enhancing their performance. Research design, data, and methodology: We collected survey questionnaires from Korean SMEs that are certified with Inno-biz by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 26 and AMOS to create an integrated model. Result: Based on the analysis, our findings indicate that the proactiveness and innovativeness dimensions of EO have a positive effect on the SMEs' performance. However, the risk-taking dimension of EO has a negative effect on performance. Additionally, buyer dependency exhibit both positive and negative moderating effects on different dimensions of EO. Conclusion: For SMEs that rely heavily on a particular buyer in terms of sale, pursuing innovativeness dimension of EO could lead to positive performance, while pursuing proactiveness dimension of EO had a negative moderating effect on performance.

  • This study examines the effects of supplier dependence on supply chain relationships, communication practices, and relationship performance in manufacturing-part companies. The structural equation modeling technique with AMOS 23.0 was used to test hypotheses using data collected in the research model. The results show that supplier dependence positively affects supply chain relationships and communication practices. In addition, the results confirm the effect of supply chain relationships and communication practices on relationship performance. It is also demonstrated that supply chain relationships and communication practices through supplier dependence play a key role in improving relationship performance for supply chain management. Furthermore, it contributes to the practice of supply chain management as well as to efficiency through collaborative activities of supplier-buyer in the supply chain processes.

  • The Purpose of this is to Examine the Effects of Collaborative Relations of Supplier- Buyer, Sustainable Supply Chain Management(SCM) Sctivities, and Collaborative Performance in Automobile-part Companies. The Proposed Research Model is Tested using Structural Equation Modeling for Hypotheses based on the Data Collected from 274 Firms. The Results Indicate that Collaborative Relations of Supplier-buyer Positively Affect Sustainable SCM Activities. In Addition, Sustainable SCM Activities Positively Affects Collaborative Performance. The Results of the Study Show that Collaborative Relations of Supplier-buyer is Positively Associated with Sustainable SCM Activities in both Supplier and Buyer Firms. Sustainable SCM Activities have a Significant Impact on Collaborative Performance in both Parts. In Addition, Collaborative Relations of Supplier-buyer have a Significant Impact on Collaborative Performance of Buyer Firms but Supplier. This Study would Provide Useful Information for Collaboration between Supplier and Buyer to have a Long-term Strategic Relationship on Sustainable SCM Activities, which Impact on Collaborative Performance and Competitive Advantages.

  • In the supply chain network design, how to select the best location, capacity configuration of the suppliers and to assign manufacturers orders are a challenging issue. Especially when multi-tiers'suppliers are existed, the performance of supply chain is influenced by 2$\^$nd/ and 3$\^$rd/ suppliers. Supplier selection is multi-criteria problem which includes both qualitative and quantitative factors in supply chains. In order to select the best supplier it is necessary to make a trade off between these two factors such as cost, product quality, capacity, production lead time, deliver lead time and transportation lead tine of supplier constraints existed in multi-tiers supplier purchasing chain. In these circumstances, purchasing agents should decide two problems: which is the best supplier in each tier and how much should be purchased from each selected supplier. This research is intended to develop an integration of an analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and mathematical modeling proposed to consider two factors which may be conflicted in choosing the best supplier in each tier and placing the optimum order quantities to the supplier among multi-tiers suppliers.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate if purchasing companies' efforts of supplier development activities to supplier companies have positive impacts on the purchasing companies' performance as the first step. In the second step, we tried to confirm if the concept of Supply Chain Corporate Social Responsibility activities and Coexistence activities take the roles of moderate variable on relationship between supplier development and three performances respectively. Methods: The collected data through survey were analysed using multiple regression for the first step of the study and moderate regression for the second one of it. Results: The results of this study are as follows; supplier development efforts effect on all three performances positively. Moreover, Supply Chain CSR has significant moderate effect on relationship between supplier management and corporate performances, while Coexistence does between supplier management and logistics performances. In the case of relationship between supplier management and production performances, both Supply Chain CSR and Coexistence show significant moderate effect. Conclusion: Manufacturing companies in Korea need to make effort of supplier development in selective way when they want to practice Supply Chain CSR and Coexistence concurrently considering strategies and objectives.

  • The purpose of the study is to identify specific tools and joint practices used in customer-supplier partnerships and to investigate performance outcomes resulting from using the identified tools and joint practices. To achieve the purpose, related literatures in the area of marketing, purchasing, and management systems engineering are reviewed. Successful and world-class supply and/or supplier management cases are examined in-depth as well. Before addressing the purpose of this study, quality experts' assertions on and historical perspective of Supply Chain Management(SCM) and general issues on customer-supplier partnerships are also mentioned.

  • This study investigates a buyer-supplier supply chain, in which a buyer delegates the production process to a supplier as in many practices. The consumer's buying intention and overall supply chain performance are affected not only by the buyer's decision on sales price but also by the supplier's decision on product quality. Therefore, the buyer has a motivation to control the supplier's quality investment. Among various incentive schemes that the buyer can adopt in practice, we consider a revenue-sharing contract and investigate its unique characteristics. By comparison with a typical wholesale price contract, we reveal that the revenue-sharing contract can enhance supply chain's overall performance, including quality, demand, and profits of not only overall supply chain but also each player. We contribute to the academia and the supply chain practice by providing important guidelines in adopting incentive schemes and effectively managing product quality in a supply chain.

  • Many companies in these days have pursued an outsourcing policy to survive in a highly competitive world market. To effectively deal with the outsourcing policy, it is required that the companies have a useful method to rationally evaluate a supplier's performance from a viewpoint of a company's strategy and in a comparative-integrated manner. In this paper, we examined the relative importance of supplier selection criteria for a company's strategy by conducting a survey and proposed "Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)" as one of the plausible techniques to evaluate a supplier's total performance. A hypothetical case study is presented to demonstrate the applicability of the method.

  • This study explores the relationship among perceived uncertainty, transaction characteristics, supplier capability, and supply chain performance through theoretical review in the context of increasing uncertainty such as COVID-19 in the supply chain. Based on comprehensive literature review, it was concluded that transaction characteristics and supplier capability affect perceived uncertainty, and supply chain performance can be affected by perceived uncertainty. These findings are meaningful in that we can estimate how to reduce uncertainty of the supply chain under the same pandemic situation.
