This study is to estimate the production efficiency of abalone aquaculture and to find its determinants utilizing the survey data of operating expenses in 2015. The first part of the analysis applied both DEA and Super-DEA for the estimation of efficiency of each aquaculture household as DMU. We used wages, feeding costs and area as inputs and annual profits and sales as outputs of the model. The second part of the study applied both Tobit and OLS for the identification of determinants of the efficiency. We investigated cost-ratio, depreciation costs, careers, value of living seeds, cleaning costs of farming ground and a ratio of 1 and 2 year-old abalone at shipment as potential determinants. The estimation results show us that the average technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency, and scale efficiency score turn out to be 72%, 81% and 85% respectively. The Super-BCC and Super-CCR models reveal their average efficiency scores as 81% and 80%. All of the variables used to identify the determinants of the efficiency. The study results suggests that the production efficiency can be improved by cleaning farming ground and hence lowering the death rate of seeds.
Oil spill and oily wastewater have now become a serious threat to the freshwater and marine environments. Porous materials with super-hydrophobicity and super-oleophilicity are good candidates for the oil adsorption and oil/water separation. Here, flexible hybrid nanofibrous membrane (FHNM) containing $SiO_2$/polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) microspheres was prepared by simultaneous electrospinning and electrospraying. The obtained FHNM combined the flexibility of the nanofiber mat and super-hydrophobicity of the microspheres, which could not be achieved by either only electrospinning or only electrospraying. It was found that when the weight ratio between the $SiO_2$ and PVDF reached a critical value, the $SiO_2$ nanoparticles were present on the PVDF microsphere surface, significantly improving the surface roughness and hence the contact angle of the FHNM. Compared with the pure electrospun PVDF nanofiber mat, most of the FHNMs have a higher oil adsorption capacity. The FHNM could separate the oil with water quickly under the gravity and displayed a high efficiency and good reusability for the oil/water separation. More importantly, the FHNM could not only separate the oil with the pure water but also the corrosive solution including the salt, acid and alkali solution.
The cavitation and potentiodynamic polarization experiments were conducted simultaneously to investigate the effect of cavitation amplitude on the super austenitic stainless steel (UNS N08367) electrochemical behavior in seawater. The results of the potentiodynamic polarization experiment under cavitation condition showed that the corrosion current density increased with cavitation amplitude increase. Above oxygen evolution potential, the current density in a static condition was the largest because the anodic dissolution reaction by intergranular corrosion was promoted. In the static condition, intergranular corrosion was mainly observed. However, damage caused by erosion was observed in the cavitation environment. The micro-jet generated by cavity collapse destroyed the corrosion product and promoted the repassivation. So, weight loss occurred the most in static conditions. After the experiment, wave patterns were formed on the surface due to the compressive residual stress caused by the impact pressure of the cavity. Surface hardness was improved by the water cavitation peening effect, and the hardness value was the highest at 30 ㎛ amplitude. UNS N08367 with excellent mechanical performance due to its high hardness showed that cavitation inhibited corrosion damage.
This paper presents an adaptive image interpolation method using a pixel-based neighbor embedding which is modified from the patch-based neighbor embedding of contemporary super resolution algorithms. Conventional interpolation methods for high resolution detect at least 16-directional edges in order to remove zig-zaging effects and selectively choose the interpolation strategy according to the direction and value of edge. Thus, they require much computation and high complexity. In order to develop a simple interpolation method preserving edge's directional shape, the proposed algorithm adopts the simplest Haar wavelet and suggests a new pixel-based embedding scheme. First, the low-quality image but high resolution, magnified into 1 octave above, is acquired using an adaptive 8-directional interpolation based on the high frequency coefficients of the wavelet transform. Thereafter, the pixel embedding process updates a high resolution pixel of the magnified image with the weighted sum of the best matched pixel value, which is searched at its low resolution image. As the results, the proposed scheme is simple and removes zig-zaging effects without any additional process.

The author has analysed profile of flow in rear of motion with single ball with low Reynolds number performed interface layers. For each system whose viscosity of the lower phase is as large as or large that of the upper phase, the profile has based on the thickness of the ball in the lower phase is nearly independent of both the ball single and the physical properties of the upper phase of the solution. The examine of the characteristics between Darwin's total displacement of the fluid and data obtained in this study, the averaged volume of each cases was corrected by the viscosity in the lower phase. When the viscosity in the lower phase is less than that of the upper phase, the volume based on the displacement of the fluid in rear region of ball are influenced by both ball size and the viscosity ratio of the upper phase to the lower phase. In the range of the Reynolds number less than a constant values, the volume ratio is influenced by both Reynolds number and Moltion number but mainly Reynolds. In range of Reynolds number over than the value, the volume ratio is independent of Reynolds number, but influenced by Moltion number.

In this paper, a numerical study is carried out for super-pipe, flat plate and axisymmetric body flows to investigate a validity of using wall function and high $y_1^+$ in calculation of high Reynolds number flow. The velocity profiles in boundary layer agree well with the law of the wall. And it is found that the range of $y^+$which validated the logarithmic law of the wall grows with increasing Reynolds number. From the result, an equation is suggested that can be used to estimate a maximum $y^+$ value of validity of the log law. And the slope(1/$\kappa$) of the log region of the numerical result is larger than that of experimental data. On the other hand, as $y_1^+$ is increasing, both the friction and the pressure resistances tend to increase finely. When using $y_1^+$ value beyond the range of log law, the surface shear stress shows a significant error and the pressure resistance increases rapidly. However, when using $y_1^+$ value in the range, the computational result is reasonable. From this study, the use of the wall function with high value of $y_1^+$ can be justified for a full scale Reynolds number ship flow.
Super-cavitating vehicle which is operating under water speeds up to 100m/s. In this process super-cavitation around body reduces frictional resistance. This paper introduces experimental study on different width of suction path as there is a warhead in the torpedo. Hydraulic performances of turbopump at non-cavitating condition does not display a significant differences depending on different width of suction path. However, cavitation performance of each model shows obvious differences in the same condition of experience. In case of radial inlet, the value of critical NPSH(which indicates 3% head drop) increases about 20% in comparison of axial inlet.
An hourly simulation model of a solar LiBr-water absorption cooling and heating system (for brevity, solar absorption system) is presented, based on SuperCalc spreadsheet computational procedures. This paper demonstrates the value of using spreadsheet simulation techniques by examining the thermal performances of a solar absorption system. The hourly heating and cooling coil loads for a typical office building in Tucson, Arizona are modeled and calculated using ASHRAE methods. The details of the algorithms for the components and control schemes are presented. Two case studies are also presented using real system parameters.

In this paper, field application of mass concreting using super retarding agent(SRA) are discussed based on setting. time difference with SRA in big discount market in Chongju. Mechanical and physical properties of .concrete are investigated. Temperature history of concrete is also measured. Slump and air content meet the requirement of target value. Compressive strength of concrete exceeded the nominal strength with 24MPa. Compressive strength of SRA concrete is higher than that of plain concrete by about $3\~4\%$. For temperature history, peak temperature of concrete at middle section at top concrete layer reached $49.6^{\circ}C$ within 24hours, and at bottom concrete layer, $54.6^{\circ}C$ within 42hours. Based on the naked eye's observation, no crack was found at mass concrete.

We propose a novel cooperative guidance law design method based on the finite time disturbance observer (FTDO) for multiple near space interceptors (NSIs) with impact time control. Initially, we construct a cooperative guidance model with head pursuit, and employ the FTDO to estimate the system disturbance caused by target maneuvering. We subsequently separate the cooperative guidance process into two stages, and develop the normal acceleration command based on the super-twisting algorithm (STA) and disturbance estimated value, to ensure the convergence of the relative distance. Then, we also design the acceleration command along the line-of-sight (LOS), based on the nonsingular fast terminal sliding mode (NFTSM) control, to ensure that all the NSIs simultaneously hit the target. Furthermore, we prove the stability of the closed-loop guidance system, based on the Lyapunov theory. Finally, our simulation results of a three-to-one interception scenario show that the proposed cooperative guidance scheme makes all the NSIs hit the target at the same time.
