  • Online communities are an important source of electronic-word-of-mouth (eWOM), however few studies have examined these types of messages within the Middle Eastern context. This study focuses on Kuwaiti women as members of an online beauty forum; previous work has suggested a mediating effect of gender with women being more likely to trust and follow-up word-of-mouth with a purchase. A conceptual model, based on existing theoretical contributions, provides the basis of a coding framework for the message characteristics that influence members' eWOM adoption. A sub-set of the analysis is presented: 218 threads (1820 messages, coded into 6702 units) illustrating cases where eWOM was adopted and thereby demonstrating continuance intention with members returning to the forum. Content analysis revealed the prevalence of emotional aspects in messages, coded into a new category of 'community bonding'. Findings show that emotion expressed in messages is as influential and important as cognitive aspects of argument quality.

  • In this study, a preliminary study has been made to check the availability of examination after selecting one among the criteria to adaptation of school life, in recognition of the necessity for a tool in order to collect multi =dimensional information about children. An examination has been done with the survey target of 291 pupils in the fifth and sixth grade in an elementary school located in Incheon. And the focus group with the teachers in charge of each class was undertaken to check the availability of the examination. As the result of the examination, 37 was the average score of children diagnosed as the category of temporary maladaptation in terms of the score of 4 sub-scales of school adaptation and their total scores, and 28 was the score which corresponds to the assessment of teachers. The results of examinations and the evaluations of teachers were proved to be highly correlated. Lastly discussion is focused on the meaning of these findings and the suggestions for the further studies.

This study uses the data based on interviews with 136 unmarried mothers selected purposive sampling from the 5 unmarried mothers protective institutions in Seoul, Pyungtak, Chunchon, Taegu, and Gwanju. The major findings were as follows. First of all, the age of the first sexual activity of the late-teens among the unmarried mothers are over the half. The portions over the one time abortion are 33.3%. Second, the social support part in the coping sub-category had positive correlation with the stress of unmarried mothers. And the age of the first sexual activity and my thought on the adolescent sex had negative correlation with the stress of unmarried mothers. Third, the age of the first sexual activity predicted the stress of unmarried mothers. Therefore, the comprehensive and systematic intervention programs should be required to ensure that they intervene the stress of unmarried mothers.

  • This research was conducted to investigate the voice related needs of occupational voice users. The data collected from teachers(379), tele-marketers(156), therapists(50) was classified according to its content, by colaizzi's inductive categorical analysis. The voice related needs are classified into 3 big categories, 1) how to use, 2) how to care, 3) how to be healthy. Again the category 'how to use' my voice was into 6 sub-categories: (1) efficiently, (2) as I desired, (3) without pain(discomfort), (4) expressively, (5) phonation (methods) and (6) clear articulation. The result showed that the needs from 3 groups of occupational voice users reflect their own environment which they have to use their voice as well as the voice characteristics wanted from their specific listeners.

  • This paper suggests a collaborative business process between the companies that each has a restricted physical branch in its own area and wants to extend globally sales and delivery service. The companies integrate their business processes for sales and delivery using a shared product taxonomy table. We also suggest a similar product finding algorithm to make the product taxonomy table that defines product relationships to exchange them between the companies. The main idea of the proposed algorithm is using a multi-attribute decision making (MADM) to find the utility values of products in a same product class of the companies. Using the values we determine what products are similar. It helps the product manager to register the similar products into a same product sub-category. The companies then allow consumer to shop and purchase the products at their own residence site and deliver them or similar products to another sites.

  • One or two-dimensional nanostructures such as nanowires or nanomats have been widely uses as building blocks for nanoscale electronic devices. Nanofiber is one of sub-category of nano structures, it is easy to make nano-sized fiber by electrospinning technique. Nanofiber has large surface area as compared with their volume, it could be widely applied to many areas easily. Electrospinning technique is easy to control their structures and morphology safely and cost-effectively. We made nano-rings as a model of one dimensional nanostructures by electrospinning technique. To our knowledge, there were no reports on the preparation and investigation of alumina nano-rings by electrospinning technique. In this study, aluminum oxide nano-rings were produced after electospinning and calcination. The synthesized aluminum oxide nano-rings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) to identify the morphology and the diameter of the ring, X-ray diffraction (XRD) to verify the crystallinity of the aluminum oxide, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) for investigation of the chemical nature of the synthesized nano-rings.
