The shape of edge cracking in rolling process generally occurred "V" shape. This cracking is successively generated at width edge of strip. The edge cracking is developed to center of strip during rolling process. In the results, the strip is occurred fracture, and the productivity is gone down because of the extensive production time. Accordingly, we need to control crack propagation during rolling process. But, the control of cracking is very difficult in rolling process. Previously the studies of edge cracking were mainly performed on hot rolling process. In this paper, the shape of the edge cracking in rolling was estimated according to process conditions such as initial edge crack size, reduction ratio and tension using FE-simulation and the simplicity experiments on cold rolling process.

Agitation is a secondary process used to increase the PR stripping force on an ITO-glass surface; it is an efficient approach to stripping during production. It activates the stripper to chemically penetrate the PR layer and assists by breaking down the physical bonding forces at the surface. In this study, different stripping tests were conducted by varying the dipping time, the composition, the strip temperature, and the stripper concentration. Optimal PR strip conditions were estimated by using comparative visual inspection of stripped sample surfaces. The stripping process was affected by changes in the moving speeds and the sample positions. It was confirmed that the stripping capability improved at a dilute stripper ratio of 20-40% and a strip temperature of $30-40^{\circ}C$ and within 60 s of strip time.
In this paper, the solutions of TE(transverse electric) scattering problems by a resistive strip grating over a grounded dielectric layer are analyzed by applying the PMM(point matching method) known as a numerical method of electromagnetic fileld. The boundary conditions are applied to obtain the unknown field coefficients and the resistive boundary condition is used for the relationship between the tangential magnetic field and the induced surface current density on the resistive strip. The induced surface current density of resistive strip is obtained by difference of the up and down of the magnetic field in two boundary areas of the resistive strip. The numerical results for reflected power of zeroth order mode analyzed by according as the resistivity, the width and spacing of resistive strip, the relative permittivity and thickness of dielectric layer, and incident angles. The numerical results shown in good agreement compared to those of the existing papers using FGMM(fourier galerkin moment method).

It is well known that rumble strips contribute to reduce traffic accidents. The present paper provides the reduction effect of traffic accidents under specific highway geometrics after rumble strip installation. Traffic accidents on freeway sections before and after rumble strip installation are compared when conditions of the highway geometric characteristics such as horizontal, vertical geometrics are given. It is shown that rumble strips are effective under highway geometric conditions of down slopes or right curvatures. It is also shown that rumble strips are still effective with shorter length of installation.

This test was performed on the hydraulic automatic gauge control(AGC) system of adaptive mass flow method. Fundamental purpose of this study are performance evaluation of this AGC system under the actual rolling condition. It was concluded that the response of AGC system depends on the dynamic characteristics of a reel motor or roll position. The test results are as follows : 1) The control method of reel motor current is better than than of the roll position as AGC system. 2) The more steel strip thickness of delivery side is thick, the larger the gauge deviation is large, and the more it is thin, the larger the gauge deviation rate is large. 3) Because the gauge deviation is large at acceleration and deceleration speed than steady speed, so AGC system is better to adopt over 50m/min. By applying this AGC system, not only the accurary in strip thickness were improved but also productivity was improved dramatically.

The objectives of this study were to characterize the wastewater flow through the VFS, and relate this to the P removal in the VFS. A total of 68 subsurface wells (20∼40 cm below the soil surface) and 35 surface wells (0~5 cm), and the application of chloride tracer were used to investigate flow paths and soluble reactive P (SRP) removal from the 21 m wide and 33 m long VFS receiving dairy milkhouse waste. The early chloride breakthroughs in wells in the center of the VFS showed that the milkhouse waste flows preferentially down in the center of the hillslope. The locally saturated area created near the discharge pipe in the center of the VFS accelerates surface flow that contributed to rapid transport of P to the down slope area. Although VFS of 33m long eventually reduced SRP to lower than 0.2 mg/L in most cases, SRP is less effectively removed in the areas where soil saturation occurred. It is suggested that the effort to distribute the wastewater uniformly to avoid soil saturation and reduce the flow velocity need to be considered in new designs.
The relation between the height of ascending solvents and its velocity were studied with strips of Toyo No. 50 filter paper. The filter paper strip of 3cm width and cat 30 cm length is hooked down or fixed between two sheets of glass plates inside a cylinder containing the solvent, in which the lower end of the strip is dipped. As the solvents, acetone, hydrochloric acid, water or mixtures of these are used. For short time intervals, Ostwald's folmula $h = Kt^n$ was found to be most suitable to express the relation between the height of the solvent front, h, and time, t. For longer time intervals, results will be discussed in the next paper. The mean values of the constant m in the above formula for pure acetone and pure water were 0.44 and 0.485, respectively, and that of K were 0.05 and 2.4, respectively. The time interval whose the above formula applies, for each solvent was 2 hours for the former, and a half hour for the later, respectively. The movement of solutes, such as $Cu^{++}$ and $Fe^{++}$ showed that the Rf values of solutes become constant values after a long periods; e.g., ca. 6 hours with 10N-HCl-Acetone (1 : 9) solvent.

A family of multi-die DRAM packages was developed that incorporate the full functionality of an SODIMM into a single package. Using a common ball assignment analogous to the edge connector of an SODIMM, a broad range of memory types and assembly structures are supported in this new package. In particular DDR3U, LPDDR3 and DDR4RS are all supported. The center-bonded DRAM use face-down wirebond assembly, while the peripherybonded LPDDR3 use the face-up configuration. Flip chip assembly as well as TSV stacked memory is also supported in this new technology. For the center-bonded devices (DDR3, DDR4 and LPDDR3 ${\times}16$ die) and for the face up wirebonded ${\times}32$ LPDDR3 devices, a simple manufacturing flow is used: all die are placed on the strip in a single machine insertion and are sourced from a single wafer. Wirebonding is also a single insertion operation: all die on a strip are wirebonded at the same time. Because the locations of the power signals is unchanged for these different types of memories, a single consolidated set of test hardware can be used for testing and burn-in for all three memory types.

Recently, the necessity for more accurate automatic gauge control has increased of customers' requirement for cold rolled steel sheets with thinner gauge and better gauge quality. Therefore, many cold rolling mills replaced its electric screw down automatic gauge control system with a new hydraulic automatic gauge control system, to ensure closer gauge tolerance. In this paper, The performance of a hydraulic automatic gauge control system for cold rolling has been investigated under industrial conditions. It was investigated that variation of gauge deviation according to the final products thickness, cold rolling speed and pass number, in the actual rolling mill. As a result, it was found that the system enables strip thickness variation to be reduced substantially and caused by poor gauge deviation have been drastically decreased. The test results are as following. The more the exit steel strip thickness is thick, the smaller the aguge deviation rate is large, and the more it is thin, the large the gauge deviation rate is large. Because the gauge deviation is larger at accleration speed and deceleration speed than steady speed, so automatic gauge control system is better to adopt over 50m/min. automatic gauge control system reduces rapidly large thickness deviation.
