  • This paper persents the measurement method using a spinning cylinder system for stream-ing electrification of transformer oil. The spinning cylinder system has a simple mechan-ical construction, and requires less oil com-pared to the other methods. Alse, the effects of various admixtures on the static electri-fication and properties of tranformer oil can be easily investigated. Experiments showed that addition of the BTA reduced the streaming electrification and the polarity of static electrification wasconver-ted to negative at 50 ∼ 70[ppm] of BTA

  • In this paper, We investigated a charge elimination by using a needle electrode in order to prevent the electrification phenomena of insulating oil flowing by force at the internal transformer. In our experiment, We used Acryle and Teflon as the material of charge reducer and measured each of their streaming current and needle electrode current. As a result of experiment, We can explain that the current of needle electrode increase in proportion to insulation of charge reducer.

  • In a large power transformer, an insulating oil is forced to circulate for cooling the heat generated by the losses within the windings and core. When oil flows and rubs against various materials, including insulating paper and steel, electrostatic charges are separated at the interface of the oil and the solid material. This paper considers the polarity and the streaming electrification of the various materials which are used in transformer. As a result of this study, it is confirmed that the leakage current on the solid material, such as paper, is charged negative. On the other hand, the solid material, such as steel, is positively charged.

  • The electric charge generated by flowing insulation liquid can create hazardous spark in transfer line and receiving tank etc. These electrification has generally been measured by current measurement with a ammeter connected to the receiving tank. This paper reports on the experimental result obtained by this method. As a experimental results: The injected charge value for unit volume increased in the following condition, the edge of the needle electrode was sharp, the number of needle electrode was fewer, the edge of the needle electrode was located close to the inside wall. When the charge density in the charge reducer is constant, electrode current and electrode potential by the charge injection from outside increase with increasing of oil velocity and streaming current. The electrode potential in charge reducer is made maximum value at edge point of reducer inside and minimum value at center line of charge reducer.

  • The static charges are generated by streaming electrification phenomena when insulating oil flowing by force for the purpose of cooling at the internal of Ultra-high power transformer. In this thesis, their elimination method was studied. In this paper the effect of Additive on the electric conductivity of Insulating oil is studied. The variation of electric conductivity disappear when Additive is molten in insulating oil, the variation of Additive is not enough to decrease streaming electrification of insulating oil(${\sigma}>10^{-12}$[S/cm]).

  • In this paper, the physical and electrical properties of the synthetic fluids No. 2 class Ⅶ used the insulating oils for automobile ignition coil are studied. Also, benzotriazole(BTA) as the streaming electrification suppressant additive is added to the oil, and the change of physical and electrical properties due to different BTA concentration is investigated. To investigate the electrical characteristics, the breakdown strength of each specimen by an experiment for AC breakdown and the changes of conductivity by measuring volume resistivity are analyzed. It is considered that the effective content of BTA as charge suppressant additive is about 10[ppm] from the results of AC breakdown and volume resistivity test.

  • In order to investigate the electrical characteristics due to the BTA(Benzotriazole) additive in the transformer, the electrical characteristics of the transformer oils contained benzotriazole as an anti-static agent for streaming electrification is studied by measuring the electric conduction. As a result of the electrical conduction characteristics, it is confirmed that the conduction current of virgin specimen is more higher than that of specimen contained the BT A 10[ppm] over 35[$^{\circ}C$], but that of specimen contained the BT A 10[ppm] over 50[$^{\circ}C$] is increased.

To investigate the electrical characteristics, the breakdown strength of each specimen by an experiment for AC breakdown are analyzed. The breakdown strength of specimen by adding BTA is higher than virgin specimen in low e region, but lower than that in high region because of melting BTA. It is considered that the effective content of BTA as charge suppressant additive is about 10[ppm] from the results of AC breakdown.

  • A streaming current in liquid generated by flow electrification in a pipe is very hazardous and has to be reduced before the liquid is put into a storage tank, it was measured in pipe (${\Phi}$: 0.5mm, 0.8mm length: 1.5-11cm), it was increased as increasing pressure of Ar gas and appeared a peak value at 5cm of pipe length in 4m/sec of flow velocity.
