  • The problem of trend change in the mean residual life is great Interest in the reliability and survival analysis. In this paper, a new test statistic for testing whether or not the mean residual life changes its trend Is developed. It is assumed that neither the change point nor the proportion at which the trend change occurs is known. The asymptotic null distribution of test statistic is established and asymptotic critical values of the asymptotic null distribution is obtained. Monte Carlo simulation is used to compare the proposed test with previously known tests.

  • The problem of trend change in the failure rate is great interest in the reliability and survival analysis. In this paper we develop a test statistic for testing whether or not the failure rate changes its trend using random censored data. The asymptotic normality of the test statistic is established. We discuss the efficiency values of loss due to censoring.

  • The problem of trend change in the failure rate is great interest in the reliability and survival analysis. In this paper we develop a test statistic for testing whether or not the failure rate changes its trend based on a complete sample. Monte Carlo simulations are conducted to investigate the speed of convergence of the proposed test statistic.

  • Basic problems in the study of detecting outliers from data of experimental designs are that they are difficult to detect and their presence influences the analysis of variance of the data set. This article is concerned with mainly detecting outliers in two-way tables with no replications. Various methods are reviewed and their relations to the Andrews-Pregibon's Statistic and Cook's Statistic are derived.

  • In this paper, the measured ultrasonic signal in GIS was filtered by wavelet transform, and then the origin signal and the filtered signals were analyzed by statistic operators. As a result, it was confirmed that different characteristics were obtained with the impact of particle and with partial discharge inception.

  • When we have an i.i.d. sample of size n from a continuous distribution, the distribution truncated on the left at the rth order statistic plays an important role in the theoretical analysis of the Type 2 censored data. The charaterization of distributions by the average of the conditional expectation and the average of the conditional information concerning the truncated distribution is studied here.

  • We propose methods for detecting influential observations that have a large influence on the likelihood ratio test statistic for the multivariate Behrens-Fisher problem. For this purpose we derive the influence curve and the derivative influence of the likelihood ratio test statistic. An illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed methods on the identification of influential observations.
