Analysing the Effect of Parking Information using the Micro Simulation Method (주차정보 제공에 따른 주차대기시간의 효과분석에 관한 연구(미시적 시뮬레이션 방법을 이용하여))

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of the parking information on the waiting time using the simulation method. Stated Preference survey has been implemented to construct the parking lot choice model. A queue simulation is carried out to investigate the effect of various parking information on the waiting time. The results show that providing parking information is likely to increase the utilization of parking place and to decease the waiting time of individual vehicle. Furthermore, as the parking demand increases, the detailed and quantitative parking information such as "5 minutes delay" is more effective than qualitative parking information such as "available".

  • In this study, the dynamic route choice behavior of driver is assumed to be affected by the current conditions of traffic environments as well as the Past traffic environments and activities. The repeated survey of multi-timed to owner drove in Chon-ju city by the virtual traffic information system was performed by the stated preference method. And the LISREL(An analysis of linear structural relationship) model was used. As the results. the variable Parameter and t-value of travel time information on applied model was high and their results have an effect greatly to the route choice. After all, the route choice was negative from Kirin-ro, which Penetrates the downtown, and positive from Chunbyun-ro which was a roundabout way was confirmed. Estimated result of the reasonability, the highest suitable model was ode which applied the concept of serial correlation and stated dependence and was shown applying rightfulness to dynamic model. As the serial correlation and stated dependence parameter value, when time interval was large, parameter value was small and the serial correlation and stated dependence was in inverse proportion ratio to the time interval.

A Methodology for Estimating Diversion Flows on Expressways (고속도로 우회교통량 추정방법론에 관한 연구)

  • VMS based dispersion of traffic flows enables to decrease delay and congestion. Such being the case, there has been growing interests in VMS operation strategy. The strategy is based on driver's behavior or diversion rate. However, it was not easy to obtain each in practice. The diversion rate, thus far, was investigated by stated preference analysis or simulators. As an alternative, in this paper, a new method to obtain diversion flow rate was suggested using the toll collection system and freeway traffic management system data. A large gap of diversion rate between stated preference analysis and field survey was observed. Out of surveyed 8 tollgate data, the diversion rate was about 7% and was quite lower compared with that of 21%${\sim}$87% from stated preference analysis or simulators. With this at hand, a more careful information provision strategy should be devised and employed to correctly account this kind of differences.

Influence of Brand Trust, Perceived Value on Brand Preference and Purchase Intention

  • The aim of this research was to empirical examine the influence of brand trust, perceived value on brand preference, and purchase intention for branded phones. The samples were gathered by a convenient sampling method. We collected data from 285 consumers who were visiting electronic supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The measurement used a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 1=completely disagree, and 5=completely agree. PLS - Partial Least Squares method was performed to analyze the measurement model and the structural model. The study model was proposed from prior research. We had assessed the reliability of the scales through Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability. As well, we also had evaluated discriminant validity through the Fornell-Larcker criterion. The findings of the study demonstrated that brand trust had a significantly positive influence on brand preference. Likewise, the findings of the research also stated that brand trust had a positive impact on purchase intention. The results revealed that perceived value had a positive effect on brand preference. Furthermore, the outcomes show that perceived value had a positive influence on purchase intention as well. Furthermore, the findings of the research showed that brand preference had a positive effect on purchase intention.

  • Highway ARS service made several times handling of cellular phone for accept the one information. But, use the cellular phone while driving is against the law that 'Road Traffic Act' and wield influence on safety by degrade driver's attention that causes reduced section of concentration. On this study, propose a new type service that more useful and safer witch improved of existing ARS service to it served for cellular phone. For the analyze problem in existing ARS service, collect and analysis that ARS using status data and highway overall speed data, and then offer a better service type which based on improvements to that. Also, make a comparative analysis including measure of degree about easy to use and safety between two services by using the Stated Preference method, as a result of verifies the effect of new type service Finally, for measure of the effect the value of improved ARS service type that used willingness to pay in CVM method.

  • A diversity of railway network function enhancement projects such as the double tracking, electrification, and direct operation have been actively executed to improve the railway service. When the new rapid railway is provided, how many people will use it instead of other transports? How will the railway choice behavior be changed? Accordingly, in this paper, the applicability of diverted travel demand forecast method by Stated Preference(SP) and Transfer Price(TP) data was reviewed for Daegu metropolitan railway service. As the result of implementing the Revealed Preference(RP) and RP+SP model, the total travel time and travel cost parameters are of the right sign and are highly significant. In particular, when TP data is used as the complementary investigation of SP, the boundary value of diverted travel demand can be easily identified by railway fare and travel time service level. Therefore, it is considered that this will practically apply even in other regions as well as Daegu metropolitan railway.

  • Recently, the development construction of New Masan Container Terminal (1-1 Phase) with private investment would be set for opening in the 2011 year in Masan Port, Korea However, as new container terminals of the Pusan New Port and 'the New Ulsan Container Terminal neighboring Masan Port will be also planned to open around the time, the strategy establishment for Masan Port is required for a keen competition among these ports. To provide it with strategic points, we applied SP model used for customers' behavior method to analyze customer's preference changes with the shifts of the ports' conditions for customers.

  • The objective of this paper is to analyze consumers' consumption behavior of environment-friendly mandarin and attributes of mandarin in Korea. It is also to measure consumers' marginal willingness to pay by the attributes of mandarin and to estimate the market-share by products of mandarin from the data surveyed by a survey research company. The questionnaires for consumers were given randomly by interview to 500 married women lived in Seoul and to 200 wholesaler in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Kwangju. The conjoint analysis method was used to analyze consumers' preference and suggest several implications for the rational production and marketing policy of mandarin.

A Study on the Recognition and Preference for Rice Food of Elementary School Student in Seoul Area (서울지역 초등학생들의 쌀음식에 대한 인지도 및 기호도에 관한 연구)

  • Rice is staple grain of our people and at the same time it is major source of income for Korean farmers. But recently various problems in connection with rice arose such as declining consumption etc. for this reason not only government but also related agencies are discussing about expanding vice consumption. This study is an attempt to provide basic data required for developing rice food and method of cooking it as a measure for increasing rice consumption and far this purpose survey has been conducted on primary school students in connection with their level of recognition, preference far rice food as well as their understanding and their consciousness on issues related to this topic. In terms of level of recognition of rice food majority of students which were subjected to this study stated that either they knew names of about 39 types of rice foods shown or had experience of eating them. They also stated in answers to question related to dietary habit that they prefer rice foods. Their reply on taste of rice food was plain and neat. But it was found their level of recognition on our traditional rice foods such as Ssal Dasik (rice cookies), Ssal Jinbyung (rice cakes) and Buggumi (fried rice cakes) etc. was very low. In connection with questions on their understanding of rice and consciousness of problems related to rice it was revealed that more than majority of primary school students in this research had erroneous idea on reason for the need of our effort for expanding rice consumption. Accordingly in order to expand rice consumption it is necessary to develop educational program addressing subjects of cultural and nutritional effect value of rice, effect of rice consumption upon rural economy and its application to school education concurrently with persistent study in order to diversify rice food restaurants and to improve method of cooking.

A Questionnaire Design Strategy for Enhancing the Rationality and Testing for the Validity of Choice Experiments Using Example Choice Questions (Choice Experiments의 합리성 제고 및 타당성 검증을 위한 설문지 디자인 연구 - 예제 도입 방안을 중심으로 -)

  • One of the most important factors that determine the quality of a stated preference study is questionnaire design. This study introduces strategies for enhancing the rationality and testing for the validity of choice experiments(CE) using "example" choice questions that mimic the main choice questions. From the case study of WTP for reduced radon radiation exposures in the home, the study found that screening out irrational responses, 12% of the effective responses, resulted in a meaningful increase in model fit. Meanwhile the study tested for anchoring effects, as a way of confirming the divergent validity of the study, by looking at equality of models estimated for two subsamples. The overall test results were mixed. The pros and cons of the questionnaire design strategy employed are also reported.
