Plume Density Simulation of KM Residual Thrust Using DSMC Method (DSMC 방법을 이용한 킥모터 잔류추력 Plume Density 시뮬레이션)

  • 2nd stage of KSLV-I, NaRo-Ho, performs CCAM not to collide with Naro Science Satellite. At that moment, the satellite should pass through the Plume Density area which was generated by KSLV-I KM residual thrust. Therefore, it is necessary to predict Plume Density field of KM residual thrust and guarantee the safety of the trajectory of payload. In this paper, DSMC method was used to simulate Plume Density by KM residual thrust and the simulation showed that the trajectory of Naro Science Satellite was safe.

  • KSLV-1 2nd stage Kick Motor Nozzle was exposed to high temperature and pressure during the firing. Under the high pressure environment, Kick Motor Nozzle hydro-pressure test was done for verifying the structural safety of the nozzle. The differences with the KM hydro-pressure test [1] are that the real immerged heat resistance material is assembled and the throat heat resistance material is similar with the real one. The hydro-pressure tests were done for the two times of the 125 % of MEOP (975 psi) and the 153 % of the MEOP.

High-resolution optical and near-infrared spectroscopic study of 2MASS J06593158-0405277

  • We present the results of high-resolution (R ≥ 30,000) optical and near-infrared spectroscopic monitoring observations of a FU Orionis-type object, 2MASS J06593158-0405277. We have monitored 2MASS J06593158-0405277 with the Bohyunsan Optical Echelle Spectrograph (BOES) and the Immersion GRating INfrared Spectrograph (IGRINS) since December 2014. Various features produced by wind, disk, and outflow/jet were detected. The wind features varied over time and disappeared about a year after the outburst occurred. The double-peaked line profiles were detected in the optical and near-infrared, and the line widths decrease with increasing wavelength. The disk features in the optical spectra are fit well with G2-type or G5-type stellar spectra convolved with a disk rotational profile of about 45 km s-1, which corresponds to a disk radius of about 71 Rfor a central mass of 0.75 M. Disk features in near-infrared spectra are fit well with a K1-type stellar spectrum convolved with a disk rotational profile of about 35 km s-1, which corresponds to a disk radius of about 117 R for a central mass of 0.75 M. We also detected [S II] and H2 emission lines, which are rarely found in FUors but are usually found in the earlier stage of young stellar objects. Therefore, we suggest that 2MASS J06593158-0405277 is in the relatively earlier part of Class II stage.

  • This paper introduces modal test of the 2nd stage structure of KSLV-I which is composed to satellite, PLA(Payload Adapter), EB(Equipment Bay), KMS(Kick Motor Support) and KM(Kick Motor) without PLF(Payload Fairing). In this test, to simulate free-free boundary condition, test object was hung by 4 bungee cords and excited by using impact hammer. From this test, dynamic properties of the 2nd stage structure of KSLV-I can be obtained. Modal test data are analyzed by using TDAS(Test Data Analysis Software). As the result, modal parameters and mode shapes below 100Hz of the 2nd stage of KSLV-I were identified.

Life cycle Health Promotion Programs using Traditional Korean Medicine (HaPPs-TKM) and Activation Plan

  • Background : The Life cycle Health Promotion Programs using Traditional Korean Medicine (the Life cycle HaPPs-TKM) are the on-going 3rd stage projects that have centered on the development and dissemination of the standard life cycle HaPPs-TKM in the local community. The purpose of the study was to introduce the development background of the standard life cycle HaPPs-TKM and to suggest its activation plan. Methods : Academic and government research reports on the life cycle HaPPs-TKM were analyzed to introduce the development process, development backgrounds and the details of KM-HPP for each life cycle, such as infants and toddlers, adolescents, pregnant women, adults and the elderly. Results : We reviewed the development process of the standard life cycle HaPP-TKM consisted of a series of diagnosis on community members' health problems, establishment of project purpose, research on the involvement of KM intervention in a project, and final development of the project model. And we rediscovered that in the development backgrounds of KM-HPP, there were beneficial goals to manage and promote public health conditions for each life cycle. Conclusion : To activate life cycle HaPPs-TKM, we would recommend that activation plan should include six factors through systematic analysis of research reports. These factors consist of diversified goals for each life-cycle, competency reinforcement of local project manager, diversified Korean Medicinal modalities to enhance Sasang Constitution and Qigong, development of standard Outcome Index, periodical holding of performance contest, and improved guidance of government and associated entities through whole process of HaPP-TKM.

Sediment Estimation of Large Reservoir Using Daily Flowrate Analysis (일유량 분석을 이용한 대규모 저수지의 퇴사량 추정)

  • The objective of this study Is to supply basic data for large reservoir sedimentation research In future and make suggestions to maintain and opera능 the reservoir more of efficiently. At first, previous studios about the estimation of sediment yield rate were reviewed in Korea. And the discharge rating curves of upstream stage gauging stations and the correlation between dam Inflow and stage discharge were analyzed. With the analysis results, the spec유c sediment rate of Soyanggang dam was estimated as 608 m3/km2/yr. It was similar to that of Soyanggang dam feasibility study and 1994's field surveys of the reservoir than that of 1983's field surveys. Because the sediment rating curves were derived under the low discharge conditions, It needs to be checked under the flood conditions. However, the suggested methods such as flowrate analysis and sediment estimation will be useful to the sediment studios In future.   • Based on the diffusion of innovation paradigm, this study conceptualizes the constituent components (3P) and the growth stages (6C) for knowledge management. It is critical for knowledge management efforts to identify 'where we are' and decide 'where to go' and then to manage 'how to go'. As a framework for the success of knowledge management, the 3P6C model is intended to systematically guide these efforts toward knowledge asset management and implementation, for knowledge productivity. This model is illustratively applied to such success stories as in Skandia, Buchman Lab and Hall Mark Cards. Such applications of this model show that they have been through such prior activities required in the earlier stages, and thattechnological platform is just one of the 3 key components working as an enabler, implying together the existence of growth path in KM success. Provided in the appendix are a set of exemplary scenarios in knowledge management practice for growth stage assessment.

  • Planning and construction of railway for high speed trains up to 400 km/h are recently driven in Korea. High speed train is one of the environment-friendly fastest mass transportation means but its noise generated by rolling, traction and aerodynamic mechanism can cause public complaints of residents nearby railways. To cost-effectively prevent the troublesome noise in a railway planning stage, the rational railway noise prediction method considering the characteristics of trains as well as railway structures should be required but it is difficult to find an authentic method for Korean high speed trains such as KTX and KTX-II. In this study, recent railway noise prediction methods developed by EU countries are introduced and discussed for consulting before setting the framework of our own railway noise prediction model emitted by Korean high speed trains over 250 km/h. Especially, the new Schall 03 model (2006) developed by Germany and IMAGINE model (2007) suggested by an EU framework research project are intensively reviewed. In addition, research items required for the development of our own model are suggested.

  • We can acquire the criteria of configuration tolerance on the Kick Motor system, KSLV-I upper stage propulsion system from the analysis results of the initial controllability on the KSLV-I upper stage. Also we can assign configuration tolerances on each subsystem from the configuration tolerance on the Kick Motor system. This article deals with the Kick Motor system configuration tolerance criteria and the results of configuration management on the both ground test models and flight test ones.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the formation mechanism of landspout by using the Cloud Resolving Storm Simulator (CReSS). The landspout occurred over Ilsan, Goyang City, the Republic of Korea on June 10, 2014 with the damage of a private property. In synoptic environment, a cold dry air on the upper layers of the atmosphere, and there was an advection with warm and humid air in the lower atmosphere. Temperature differences between upper and lower layers resulted in thermal instability. The storm began to arise at 1920 KST and reached the mature stage in ten minutes. The cloud top height was estimated at 9 km and the hook echo was appeared at the rear of a storm in simulation result. Model results showed that the downburst was generated in the developed storm over the Ilsan area. This downburst caused the horizontal flow when it diverged near the surface. The horizontal flow was switched to updraft at the rear of storm, and the rear-flank downdrafts (RFDs) current occurred from simulation result. The RFDs took down the vertical flow to the surface. After then, the vertical vorticity could be generated on the surface in simulation result. Subsequently, the vertical vorticity was stretched to form a landspout. The cyclonic vorticity of echo hook from simulation was greater than $3{\times}10^{-2}s^{-1}$(height of 360 m) and landspout diameter was estimated at 1 km.
