As an alternative promising way of producing high coercivity Sr-ferrite for a permanent magnet application, intensive mechanical milling process was applied to the raw materials of the Sr-ferrite with different composition. Synthesising reactivity for the Sr-ferrite of the mechanically milled raw material containing $SrCO_3$, $La_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, $Co_3O_4$, and $SiO_2$ was inferior to that of the raw material containing $SrCO_3$ and $Fe_2O_3$, The Sr-ferrite prepared from mechanically milled raw materials had profoundly improved magnetic properties compared to the Sr-ferrite prepared by conventional method. Beneficial effect of the substituting ($La_2O_3$, $Co_3O_4$) and additive ($SiO_2$) oxides for improving the magnetic properties was not exploited in the Sr-ferrite prepared from the mechanically milled raw material. The Sr-ferrite powder prepared from the mechanically milled raw materials was magnetically isotropic in nature.
Perovskite-structure $Sr(Ti_{1-x}Fe_x)O_3$ thick films, in which x is 0.4 or 0.6, were prepared by normal ceramic process on alumina substrate. Electrical resistance was measured as a function of thermal treatment condition including atmosphere, time, and temperature. The resistance of $Sr(Ti_{1-x}Fe_x)O_3$ films is lower than those of $SrTiO_3$ or $SrFeO_3$ films. The temperature coefficient of resistance over $550^{\circ}C$ was measured to be 0 for the $Sr(Ti_{1-x}Fe_x)O_3$ films after thermal treatment at $1100^{\circ}C$ in air. The sensing property of the films was also measured as a function of temperature and gas such as $O_2$, CO, $CO_2$, NO and $NO_2$. $Sr(Ti_{1-x}Fe_x)O_3$ films showed a good sensing property for $O_2$, but no sensing signal for CO, $CO_2$, NO and $NO_2$.

$SrCo_{0.8}Fe_{0.1}Nb_{0.1}O_{3-{\delta}}$ oxide was synthesized by solid state reaction method. Dense ceramic membrane was prepared using as-prepared powder by pressing and sintering at $1250^{\circ}C$. XRD result of membrane showed single perovskite structure. The oxygen permeability were measured under 0.21 atm of oxygen partial pressure ($P_{O_2}$) and between 800 and $950^{\circ}C$. The oxygen permeation flux of $SrCo_{0.8}Fe_{0.1}Nb_{0.1}O_{3-{\delta}}$ membrane was increased with the increasing temperature. The maximum oxygen permeation flux was $1.839mL/min{\cdot}cm^2$ at $950^{\circ}C$. Long period permeability experiment was carried out to confirm the phase stability and $CO_2$-tolerance of membrane containing Nb in the condition of air with $CO_2$ (500 ppm) as feed stream at $900^{\circ}C$. The phase stability and $CO_2$-tolerance of $SrCo_{0.8}Fe_{0.1}Nb_{0.1}O_{3-{\delta}}$ were investigated by XRD and TG analysis. The result of $SrCo_{0.8}Fe_{0.1}Nb_{0.1}O_{3-{\delta}}$ which exposed carbon dioxide for 100 hours indicated 8wt% of $SrCO_3$. But it was known that the level of $SrCO_3$ production dose not have a significant effect on oxygen permeability.

The series of solid solutions in the $Sr_{1+x}Ho_{1-x}FeO_{4-y}$ (x = 0.00, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00) systems with $K_2NiF_4$ type structure have been prepared at 1550$^{\circ}$C under an atmospheric air pressure. The X-ray powder diffraction spectra of these samples assign that the crystallographic phases are tetragonal system over the whole x range. The lattice volume was increased with increasing the substitution amount of the $Sr^{2+}$ ion. The mole ratio of the $Fe^{4+}$ ion to total iron ions or ${\tau}$ value has been determined by Mohr salt titration of the sample and then the y value was calculated from x and ${\tau}$ values. The ${\tau}$ and y values have been increased with x values. The nonstoichiometric chemical formula are formulated from the general formula of $Sr_{1+x}Ho_{1-x}Fe^3_{1-}\;^+_{\tau}Fe_{\tau}^{4+}O_{4-y}$ replaced by x,${\tau}$ and y values. Mossbauer spectra show the mixed valence state and coordination state of $Fe^{3+}\;and\;Fe^{4+}$ ions. It is found out that the magnetic property of the samples is paramagnetic at room temperature. Electrical conductivity varied within the semiconductivity range of 1.0 to 1 ${\times}\;10^{-9}{\Omega}^{-1}cm^{-1}$. Activation energy of the electrical conductivity was decreased with the $\tau$ value. The conduction mechanism should be explained by the hopping model of the conduction electrons between the valence states of $Fe^{3+}\;and\;Fe^{4+}$ ions.

The current-voltage characteristics at SrO${\cdot}6Fe_{2}O_{3}$ electronic ceramics interfaces have been studied using cyclic voltammetric methods. The symmetrical and stable cyclic voltammograms, which indicate the same anodic and cathodic process, are obtained on the whole experiments. The approximate saturation current is 50$\mu$A but the value depends on the experimental processes of the electrode specimens. The current-voltage characteristics of SrO${\cdot}6Fe_{2}O_{3}$ electronic ceramics in dilute aqueous electrolytes or double deionized water are determined by the water adsorption process and the interconnected porosity effect. On the other hand, the current-voltage characteristics in relatively concentrate aqueous electrolytes are determined by the ionic adsorption process and the related electrical double layers. The SrO${\cdot}6Fe_{2}O_{3}$ electronic ceramics can be directly used as an electrochemically stabled resistor, electrode or a humidity sensor.

Single-phase $Sr_2FeMoO_6$ thin films were produced by RF magnetron sputtering for use as electrodes in integrated sensors and found to be good conductors at room temperature. The films were deposited from a powder-type sputtering target under various conditions, and were crystallized by annealing. Elimination of $O_2$ gas during deposition, by the use of a solely Ar sputtering gas under a working pressure as low as possible, and vacuum annealing were important to promote the $Sr_2FeMoO_6$ phase. However, oxygen exclusion from sputtering and annealing was not enough to yield single-phase $Sr_2FeMoO_6$: hydrogen annealing was also required. Film production was optimized by varying the deposition parameters and hydrogen annealing conditions. The film had good electrical conduction, with a low resistivity of $1.6{\times}10^{-2}\Omega{\cdot}cm$ at room temperature.
Sr substituted materials for some barium in M-type barium ferrite powder and Co-Ti substituted Sr-Ba hexagonal ferrite powder were prepared by citrate sol-gel method and 2 MOE sol-gel method these hexaferrite particles were reduced for 1hr in the hydrogen gas. The reduction temperatures were varied in the range of 250 $^{\circ}C$ to 500 $^{\circ}C$. X-ray diffraction patterns were measured using diffractometer with Cu $K_{\Alhpa}$ radiation. Mossbauer absorption spectra were measured with a constant acceleration spectrometer. We have focused on studying the origin of increasing $M_s$ by M$\"{o}$ssbauer spectroscopy. Ferrite particles which were sintered at 105$0^{\circ}C$ were found to be typical magnetoplumbite structure and single phase. XRD patterns with varying the reduction temperatures in $Sr_{0.5}Ba_{0.5}Fe_{10}O_{19}$ indicates ferrites particles become composite hexaferrites containing $\alpha$-Fe at T_{red}=350 \;$^{\circ}C$$. On the otherhand, it was found that $Co^{2+}$ ions and $Ti^{4+}$ ions in $Sr_{0.7}Ba_{0.3}Fe_{10}CoTiO_{19}$ prevent from changing $Fe^{3+}$ ions to $\alpha$-Fe during the $H_2$ reduction. Comparing Mossbauer results with XRD results, we have determined most of $\alpha$-Fe are reduced from $4f_{vi}$ sites and 12k sites of $Fe^{3+}$ ions. These $\alpha$-Fe phase bring the induced anisotropy and increase saturation magnetization $M_s$.TEX>.
A hydrated strontium iron fluoride, Sr2Fe2F10(H2O) has been synthesized and characterized. The material was synthesized through mild hydrothermal reaction using an aqueous CF3COOH solution. The material exhibits a one-dimensional structure consisting of chains of corner-shared Fe3+F6 octahedra, isolated Fe3+F5(H2O) octahedra, chains of SrF10 polyhedra and isolated SrF8 polyhedra, respectively. Magnetic property measurements on Sr2Fe2F10(H2O) reveals an antiferromagnetic order at TN of ~2.5 K with a Weiss temperature (θ) of -61.51 K.
$BiFeO_3$ films were hetero-epitaxially grown on $SrTiO_3$ substrate with a various orientation by pulse laser deposition. $BiFeO_3$ films grown on (111) $SrTiO_3$ substrate have a rhombohedral structure, identical to that of single crystals. On the other hand, films grown on (110) or (001) $SrTiO_3$ substrate are monoclinically distorted from the rhombohedral structure due to the epitaxial constraint. The easy axis of spontaneous polarization is close to [111] for the variously oriented films. Dramatically enhanced polarization and magnetization have been found for $BiFeO_3$ thin films grown on $SrTiO_3$ substrate comparing to that of $BiFeO_3$ crystals. The results are explained in terms of an epitaxially-induced transition between cycloidal and homogeneous spin states, via magneto-electric interactions.

Tubular $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}Co_{0.8}Fe_{0.2}O_{3-${\delta}$}$ membranes were prepared by extrusion. TGA results of green body membrane after extrusion showed three successive weight losses due to decomposition of organic additives and carbonate. Drying shrinkage rate of tubular $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}Co_{0.8}Fe_{0.2}O_{3-${\delta}$}$ membranes was no change after 68 h and higher in the membrane with large outer diameter. XRD and SEM results showed the sintered membranes were the single phase structure and dense. The stoichiometric molar ratio agreed well with composition ratio calculated by EDS results for $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}Co_{0.8}Fe_{0.2}O_{3-${\delta}$}$ membrane. Radial crushing strength of tubular $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}Co_{0.8}Fe_{0.2}O_{3-${\delta}$}$ membrane with 0.95 mm thickness was 5.7 kgf/$mm^2$ and the oxygen permeation rate of same membrane was 146.85 mL/min ($Jo_2$=2.33 mL/$min{\cdot}cm^2$) at $950^{\circ}C$. Therefore, it was known that use of vacuum pump was more effective than that of sweep gas to obtain higher oxygen permeation flux.
