  • STATISTCAL ANALYSIS OF SPORTS INJURY Seong-Ryul Hong R.P.T. Seoul School Health Center Hospital Upon comings of 1986 Asian Games and 1988 Olympiad in Seoul , Korean people have more enthusiasm for sports than any other time .It's very desirable that student athletes are doing thier best to train skills and to improve records for the coming 2 international sports events .I concluded as followings from the statistical analysis of 159 student athletes about sports injury who had been received Physiotherapy in School Health Center Hospital in Seoul from Jan.8 1982 to Dec,4 1984Track & field is the most common team among school sports team in Seoul.47 Students(30%) were injuried during football game, Career of sports injury: 88 students(55.3 %) were injured for the first time .Location of injury: More than 30% in both sexs were injuried in the Lumbar Frequency in injury in lower limb is higher than that of upper . Frequency of injury in upper right limb and lower left limb are higher than of counterparts6. Diagnosis: 32% of students were diagnosed as lumbago. Treatment period: 42.7% of students were healed within a week and 76.8% within 2 weeks

  • As interest increases in health promotion through sports, demand for public sports facilities is steadily growing. However, there is a lack of research on operation and management compared with the supply plan of public sports facility. In this context, the aim of this study is to address problems of management of public sports centers and suggest strategies for vitalizing the facilities through the big-data. The data are collected from web such as news, blog, and cafe for one year in 2015. From the big-data, We can find that the national sports centers and the open gyms showed similar users' behavior but showed different needs. Both facilities have been used as sports and leisure area and have a high percentage of visitors for other purposes such as walking, picnics, etc. However, while the national sports facilities which were used for more specialized programs, the open sports center were used as leisure space.

  • To be the national players, athletes undergoes repetitive hard training and then they have many kinds of sports injuries. The medical department in the Taeneung National Training Center has roles of management of injured athletes, supporting of international games and cooperation of doping control. The review article wants to introduce the role of doctor in the Taeneung National Training Center.

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate a study about undergraduate students' participation in general sports. Method: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 200 students attending physical therapy at Gimcheon university students. four items of general characteristics, 2 conditions of sports for all, 2 activities of current sports for all, and 1 thing of sports for all, were extracted from the questionnaires of total 40 items. Result: In the present study, it was found that through the cross-sectional analysis of various variables related to life sports activities according to grade, sex, age and living cost level, students participated in less sports activities than other college students. And they participated in non-living sports activities such as appreciation and movie appreciation. In addition, it was found that factors such as watching sports games mainly affect the lives of women, especially with less sports activities, and men are more active at 20 to 28 years of age than those aged 20. Conclusion: These findings suggest that it is necessary to provide various opportunities to encourage the physical activities of female students and young students of the university and actively participate in sports for all.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the selection factors of sports climbing center, customer satisfaction, and re-registration. Data collection for the purpose of this study was collected through S center, B center, V center located in Seoul and K center located in Gyeonggi-do. A total of 296 valid samples were used for the analysis. To make sure the theory, it was based on analysis of frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis and multiple regression. First of all, it was found that the factors of selecting the sports climbing center partially affected the customer satisfaction level. Second, it was found that the factors of selecting the sports climbing center partially affected the decision to re-register.

  • This study examined the constructivist perspective and the characteristics of informal learning in relation to work place learning of sports center leaders through a theoretical approach. For this reason, informal learning has important learning meaning because sports center leaders based on informal learning enable them to develop their professionalism through workplace learning in terms of experience and practice in promoting the process of growth and learning. Can be. In addition, the leaders in the sports center coaching sites lack formal learning opportunities in workplace learning compared to office workers in general companies. Therefore, the type of informal learning and the way to improve learning should be presented. This part is considered to be an educational element as an important factor for the professionalism of sports center leaders. In addition, the establishment of a workplace learning environment in personal, environmental, institutional and organizational aspects will help sports center leaders to increase their professionalism.

Model for the Structural Relationships of Safety Education by a Marine Leisure Sports Experience Center to First-Aid Coping Skills and Experience Satisfaction (해양레저스포츠 체험센터의 안전교육이 응급처치 대처능력 및 체험만족도에 관한 구조적 관계 모형)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify a model for the structural relationships of safety education provided by a marine leisure sports experience center to first-aid coping skills and experience satisfaction. 307 male and female customers who used a marine leisure sports experience center located in the city of S-si, K-do Province, were investigated from June 15 to August 30, 2017. The collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS/PC+ 20.0 and Amos 16.0. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the safety education offered by the marine leisure sports experience center was found to have affected first-aid coping skills(t=3.425, p<.001). Second, the safety education by the marine leisure sports experience center was found to have exerted an influence on experience satisfaction(t=3.751, p<.001). Third, the first-aid coping skills of the marine leisure sports experience center was found to have had an impact on experience satisfaction(t=6.781, p<.001). The measurement model for the hypothesis test in this study was found to be appropriate(GFI=.978, NFI=993, CFI=984). Given the findings of the study, more extended safety education is expected to be effective, as customers who use marine leisure sports experience centers will be able to enjoy marine leisure sports more safely and improve their quality of life when they are compulsorily required to receive safety education.

YouTube videos provide low-quality educational content about rotator cuff disease

  • Background: YouTube has become a popular source of healthcare information in orthopedic surgery. Although quality-based studies of YouTube content have been performed for information concerning many orthopedic pathologies, the quality and accuracy of information on the rotator cuff have yet to be evaluated. The purpose of the current study was to evaluate the reliability and educational content of YouTube videos concerning the rotator cuff. Methods: YouTube was queried for the term "rotator cuff." The first 50 videos from this search were evaluated. Video reliability was assessed using the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) benchmark criteria (range, 0-5). Educational content was assessed using the global quality score (GQS; range, 0-4) and the rotator cuff-specific score (RCSS; range, 0-22). Results: The mean number of views was 317,500.7±538,585.3. The mean JAMA, GQS, and RCSS scores were 2.7±2.0, 3.7±1.0, and 5.6±3.6, respectively. Non-surgical intervention content was independently associated with a lower GQS (β=-2.19, p=0.019). Disease-specific video content (β=4.01, p=0.045) was the only independent predictor of RCSS. Conclusions: The overall quality and educational content of YouTube videos concerned with the rotator cuff were low. Physicians should caution patients in using such videos as resources for decision-making and should counsel them appropriately.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the state of utilization in sport facilities at a university and drew up the improvement plan for all students. To accomplish this work, the survey of the 445 students(male 221, female 224) were collected. The collected data were analyzed through the frequency analysis. All of sports facility is used for wide range of student who like to use as their leisure in order to learn variety experience for spending their spare time. Also sports facility of university accomplish social education function to all member of university. Having sports facility for university can also work as a promotion and new impression to people its university image as well as welfare for staff. Especially, excellent sports facility at university can provide public service to local people where university is located. Having sport facility at university is directly related to development of university in many way, university is required to implement effective program for operating sport facility at university.

Relationship between Exercise Stress, Tension, Exercise Habits and Sports Injuries of Professional Golf Players (프로 골프 선수의 운동 스트레스, 긴장도, 운동 습관과 스포츠 손상과의 관계)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to know sports injury aspects and relationship between exercise stress, tension, exercise habits and sports injuries. Methods : We surveyed 42 professional golf players who attended Korea Tour during the second half of the year 2010 and have sports injuries with self - assessment questionnaires. Results : According to the types, they had myalgia, tendonitis, ligament sprain in the order. According to the body parts, they had injuries in right thoracic, left cervical, left shoulder region in the order. As a result of the analysis of the sports injury frequency according to the exercise stress and tension, there were no significant differences between the high and low level group. But result of injury regions showed high tension level group showed more damages in right thoracic region (p<0.05). Exercise habits appear subjects had lots of training time, however, they used to skip the muscular strengthening exercise during the on season, but had no significant difference between sports injury frequencies and exercise habit. Conclusion : For the improvement of the athletic performance and prevention of the sports injury, warming-up, cooling-down and muscular strengthening exercise program developments are needed.
