동력 분기 하이브리드 전기 자동차의 운행 모드 시뮬레이션 (Operation Modes of a Power Split Hybrid Electric Vehicle)

  • The power split hybrid power train is considered to be one of the most prospective configuration for the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). Toyota Prius, representing this type of vehicle, showed outstanding performances in fuel efficiency, emission reduction and acceleration. The excellence is largely due to the fact that it utilizes almost all operation modes of HEV. Those modes include ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) driving, idle stop, fuel cut-off, power assist, active charging, regenerative braking and so forth. In this paper, a few of the mode operations were simulated using AVL Cruise. Also, control logics to operate the powertrain in each mode were developed. The states of powertrain components were displayed and analyzed. By controlling the three components (engine, motor and generator), it was possible to run the powertrain in several hybrid operation modes.

과포화교통상태에서의 SPLIT COORDINATION신호제어전략 (Green-Split Coordination Strategy in Oversaturated Signal System)

  • The subject this paper is the signal control strategy under oversaturated conditions. The nature of traffic control for oversaturation is essentially different from the standard control modes. While under non-saturated situation traffic control is needed for the sake of safety and efficiency, the throughput is essential under oversaturated conditions. Therefore berth objective and strategies differ. For an oversaturated stream the cycle time and the signal offset are thought to be of rather secondary importance. For this case the green split may well be the most important control variable to serve the excessive demand. Up to now, however, most efforts have concentrated on the strategy with the concept which lies just on the extension of Webster's. "Green-split Coordination Strategy for Over-Saturated Networks", presents newly contrived three types of strategies named Forward-coordination, Backward-coordination and Network-coordination respectively and describes the algorithms with the evaluations. The forward coordination strategy treats the forward wave of flow between two signals. The aim is to prevent the outbreak of queue due to the accumulation of temporary excess of demand in near-saturation or saturation flow. The backward coordination strategy treats the backward rave of flow between two signals. The goal is to prevent the waste of green time caused by the exit block at the upstream signal. for this purpose a feedback regulation is provided of the upstream green-split so that the inflow-outflow balance is kept zero. The resultant surplus of green time is alloted to other signal stages. Also here the examination is made of the appropriate value of the feedback control parameter. The network coordination strategy is operated to maximize the network throughput in a specific direction applying a bang-bang control at the bottleneck intersection. This is a type of intervenient control for policy reasons. For this strategy the green-split coordinations, particuarly the backward coordination, are essential as the tactical elements. In order to evaluate the preposed strategies those are compared with the latest existing strategy called saturation-degree-ratio control by the simulation experiments in an assumed 4$\times$4 grid network. The results are satisfactory showing a 10-15% reduction in delays and a 15% increase in network capacity.

GaAs HBT 공정을 이용한 주파수 분배 방식의 광대역 구동증폭기 설계 (Design for Broadband Drive Amplifier of Frequency Split Type using GaAs HBT Process)

  • 본 논문에서는 L, S 및 C 대역에서 동작하는 주파수 분배 방식의 광대역 구동증폭기를 설계 및 제작하였다. 구동증폭기의 비대역폭이 100% 이상인 경우에는 트랜지스터를 효율적으로 이용하기 어려우며, 특히 주파수 대역에 따라 출력 전력 및 효율의 특성이 민감하게 변하는 전력증폭기를 동작시키기 위해서는 구동증폭기의 특성이 중요하게 작용한다. 본 논문에서는 구동증폭기의 대역폭을 최대화하고, 구동증폭기의 뒤쪽에 위치 할 전력증폭기의 트랜지스터를 효율적으로 이용 할 수 있도록 구동증폭기의 출력을 저대역과 고대역으로 나누어주는 주파수 분배 방식을 적용하였다. 설계된 회로는 GaAs HBT (Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor) 공정 및 9-layer의 SiP (System in Package)를 이용하여 제작하였고, 측정을 통해 성능을 검증하였다. 제작된 회로는 동작 주파수 범위에서 8 dB이상의 이득과 15 dBm이상의 출력전력을 보여주었다.

Seismic resistance of dry stone arches under in-plane seismic loading

  • The aim of this study is to investigate the seismic resistance of dry stone arches under in-plane seismic loading. For that purpose, several numerical analyses were performed using the combined finite-discrete element method (FDEM). Twelve types of arches with different ratios of a rise at the mid-span to the span, different thicknesses of stone blocks and different numbers of stone blocks in the arch were subjected to an incremental dynamic analysis based on excitation from three real horizontal and vertical ground motions. The minimum value of the failure peak ground acceleration that caused the collapse of the arch was adopted as a measure of the seismic resistance. In this study, the collapse mechanisms of each type of stone arch, as well as the influence of the geometry of stone blocks and stone arches on the seismic resistance of structures were observed. The conclusions obtained on the basis of the performed numerical analyses can be used as guidelines for the design of dry stone arches.

새로운 컨버터 토폴로지에 의한 스위치드 리럭턴스 모터의 구동에 관한 연구 (A study on the Switched Reluctance Motor drive by a New Converter Topology)

  • This paper proposed a new converter topology improving the split source type converter. In this converter. two switches and six diodes add to the split source type converter. The proposed converter has a performance minimized a negative torqe, putting a phase current off by double impressed voltage 2Vdc. Hence, a new converter results in increase of the average output power and improves converter efficiency in heavy load and high speed. Theoretical prediction is verified by experimental results got with a new proposed converter and 8/6 poles SRM.

  • Continuously variable transmission (CVT) mechanisms considered here are input coupled types that combine the functions of a 2K-H II type differential gear and a V-belt type continuously variable unit (CVU). For the 8 different mechanisms, 4 of them are power-circulation modes while the other 4 are power-split modes, various performance analysis (speed ratios, power flows, divisions of power transmission in a differential gear and a CVU, and theoretical efficiencies) are performed to vary design parameters. Experimental studies are executed to validate fundamental relations (speed ratios, power flows, efficiencies, occurrence of geared neutral). Some useful characteristics associated with performance also are discussed in the mechanisms.

스위치드 리럭턴스 전동기 구동을 위한 새로운 컨버터에 관한 연구 (A study on the new converter for the switched reluctance motor drive)

  • Switched reluctance motor (SRM) drives appear today as viable alternatives to induction and brushless motor drives in a wide range of application such as machine tools, fans, and pumps. This paper deals with a new converter topology which can be used in order converter. The split source type converter consists of minimum switching devices to be used in switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive. In this proposed converter two switches and six diodes are added to split source type converter. The proposed converter has performance minimizes the negative torque, Which puts the phase current off by double impressed voltages. The major advangtage of this converter is the increase of the average output power while improving better converter efficiency in heavy load and high speed than other topologies. The proposed converter system has been implemented using 80C196KB microcontroller and experiments were carried out ot verify the simulation results.

  • Dyeing and fastness properties of direct spun type PET microfiber have been compared with those of regular PET fiber and PET-Nylon conjugated microfiber. The dye uptake of finer microfibers commenced at lower temperatures and showed faster rate of dye uptake. The build-up and wash fastness properties of disperse dyes on direct spun type PET microfiber were relatively better than split type PET-Nylon microfiber.

내장형 실린더를 이용한 시멘트 고결토의 인장시험 방법에 관한 연구 (Study on the Direct Tensile Test for Cemented Soils Using a Built-In Cylinder)

  • 본 연구에서는 시멘트 고결토 내에 실린더를 내장시킨 다음 유압으로 공시체 내부에서 인장력을 가하여 공시체를 직접 파괴시키는 직접인장시험 방법에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 또한 기존 아령모양의 공시체를 이용한 직접인장시험과 대표적인 간접인장시험인 쪼갬인장시험을 실시하여 인장시험 방법에 따른 차이를 비교하였다. 인장시험용 공시체는 모래/시멘트비를 3:1 또는 1:1로 제작한 다음 7일 및 28일 동안 대기중 양생하였으며, 동일한 경우에 대해 10개의 공시체를 실험하여 평균값을 비교하였다. 한편 일축압축시험도 실시하여 일축압축강도와 인장강도의 비를 분석하였다. 내장형 실린더를 이용한 직접인장시험으로부터 얻은 인장강도는 아령모양 공시체를 이용한 직접인장시험으로부터 얻은 값보다 다소 높은 인장강도를 보였지만, 아령모양 공시체를 이용한 시험방법은 공시체 제작이 불편하고 시험 중 변곡부에서 파괴되는 경우가 자주 발생하였다. 탄성파괴를 일으키는 콘크리트나 암석에 적용하는 쪼갬인장시험방법으로 부터 얻은 인장강도는 표준편차가 가장 컸을 뿐 아니라, 시멘트 고결토와 같이 강도가 상대적으로 약해 탄소성파괴를 일으키는 재료에는 적용하기 어려웠다.
