High-speed Rail Infrastructure Priority Decision Making on Level of Design Speed by Rail Network Design Problem (철도망 설계모형을 이용한 설계속도 수준별 고속철도망 투자우선순위 선정)

  • This paper introduced Railway Network Design Problem (RNDP) to provide priority decisions on high-speed railway investment scenarios defined by various network segments and train systems. The RNDP optimizes the objective functions of minimize total travel time. Results show that the priority of high-speed railway investment is found to be East-west, West-coast, and South-coast line respectively. An entirely new line built with 400km/h is found to be the best alternative to East-west line. Regarding West-coast and South-coast line, the combined alternative of upgrading Geolla and Kyeonjon line with 200km/h and building a new line with 400km/h and 350km/h for remains of each line is the best.

  • In the early 20th century, the some of futurist painter was attempted to represents the 'fast-paced' and 'dynamism' on a two-dimensional picture. The expression of fast-paced and dynamic for look like move image in the painting have evolved as a variety of visual symbol. Visual symbols that represent these movements were settled as the line of the most movement expression in the comic. The of Toriyama Akira gained worldwide popularity is emphasized speed and dynamism as the action genre in cartoon, is nice a data to research the line of the movement expression of cartoon. There is three terms as the action line, The speed line, the effect line on the movement expression in The glossary of in the dictionary of , but it not easy to Separate them by means similar. This study is willing to says the semantically problem of previous lines on the movement expression and to present a new alternative in order to study the line on the movement expression of . This study Separate the line on movement expression from symbolic the perspective and try to newly define by using, was classified lines of four kinds by add the afterimage line on existing the speed line, the motion line, the effect line. First, the speed line was defined as 'The line expressing the movement expression of a moving target as the concept of speed'. It on the way of expression was subdivided the direct as speed line when it alter the shape of the target and the indirect speed line when it alter the background of the target. Second, the motion line was defined as 'The line simplified the moving form or the moving path of moving target'. Third, the effect line was defined as 'the line emphasizing the movement expression of a moving target by Sensory expression or emotional expression. Fourth, the afterimage lines was defined as 'The line expressing slowly moving or swaying the movement expression of target to the afterimage effect. The terminology presented in this study will be able to help the understanding of the line on the movement expression .

  • In this paper, we designed an image processing system for the high speed line-scan camera which adopts the new memory model we proposed. As a resolution and a data rate of the line-scan camera are becoming higher, the faster image processing systems are needed. But many conventional systems are not sufficient to process the image data from the line-scan camera during a very short time. We designed the memory controller which eliminates the time for transferring image data from the line-scan camera to the main memory with high-speed SRAM and has a dual-port configuration therefore the DSP can access the main memory even though the memory controller are writing the image data. The memory controller is implemented by VHDL and Xilinx SPARTAN-IIE FPGA.

  • The Full-Off Fitting of Movable Bracket using conventional line have received a dynamic contact impact between contact wire and pantograph of electric rolling stock, so this impact cause a rapid vibration of foreword and back near the supporting point of movable bracket. The Full-Off Fitting on Movable Bracket in conventional line differs from that in high speed line. Now conventional line have required a speed up for new electric locomotive and electric car. In speed-up track and big impact place, the Full-Off Fitting and the dropper often get demage. We have done a study of buffering function to solve that problem in conventional line. We have find a need adopting buffer fitting. It is decrease a dynamic impact between contact wire and pantograph of electric rolling stock.

  • At the coupling area linking high speed line and conventional line, according to distance between trains due to speed limit of conventional line, the power load of substation supplying to this conventional line increase. At the coupling area between Kimcheon SS and Kyoungsan SS, train operation have problems caused by instantaneous voltage drop. So, this paper propose evaluation method of maximum load capacity at current normal feeding condition.

  • The concept of dynamic tracking line is proposed as the feasible tracking region for a robot in a robot-conveyor system, which takes the conveyor speed into consideration. This paper presents an effective method to identify the dynamic tracking line in a robotic workcell. The maximum line speed of a robot is derived in an analytic form using the parameterized dynamics and kinematics of the manipulator, and some of its properties are established mathematically. The identification problem of the dynamic tracking line is then formulated as a root-solving problem for a single-variable equation, and solved by using a simple numerical technique. Finally, numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the methodology and its applications in workspace specification.

  • With rising demand of Internet Service, the existing communication for users (aced the restricted capability and speed, and also failed to satisfy consumer's desire for providing service-quality to them. It can be accomplished the broad-band on subscribe-line to offer various multimedia service to subscriber. But it takes a lot of times and costs. Consequently, it stands out the most economic subscribe-line for acheving a broadband scheme that new transmission technology can be realized the high-speed data communication as the present telephone-line and telephone by the general public of FTTH(Fiber To The Home). As using the pseudo line, this paper have the result that the mesured speed was improved by connecting a variable resistor on the line.

  • In this paper, we proposed a fuzzy controller for racing of a line trace vehicle. Sensor values are computed by statuses of line detecting sensors attached to the line trace vehicle and these sensor values are used for fuzzy inference rules of steering angle control to decide steering angle as output. The decided steering angle is also used for fuzzy inference rules of motor speed control to decide motor speed as output. We experimented and analyzed two proposed methods - one is fuzzy control of steering angle only and the other is fuzzy control of both steering angle and motor speed. In the experiment, we verified that the second proposed method was more efficient in racing speed.

  • In this paper, we introduce the on-line test of the current collection characteristics for HSR 350x(Korea High Speed Train project) that have been performed in the Kyoung-bu high-speed line since 2002. Through the analysis of measured data during on-line test, the variation trend of contact force between pantograph and contact wire of catenary according to the span type, the track conditions and driving patterns is reviewed. In order to analyze the variation trend of contact force, we have checked the span type of catenary in KP 24 - 125 out of Kyoung-bu high speed line and obtained the statistical processing result per each span type. This study shows that the track conditions do not affect on the dynamic performance between pantograph and contact wire catenary, and the span type and the driving pattern are important factors in determining the good interaction between them.

  • The high-speed data service is on the increase and on the development because of using the coaxial cable which hold the most part of subscriber's loop, the transmission rate in a subscriber line has influenced by an external-electromagnetic factor such as the falling of a thunderbolt and the electromagnetic induction on transmission line. this external environment gets the noise of a communications line and then has an influence to the transmission speed and quality for the high-speed data service. this paper makes an analysis of noise characteristic appeared a subscriber communications line, measures a transmission speed per each cable-distance and resolves these relationship by putting the noise, which has affected extensively the transmission quality of ADSL service, into a subscriber line.
