The construction of Daedeok Science Town, located in Yuseong ward of Daejeon metropolitan city, began in the early 1970s. It started out as a national project to form an agglomeration of the major central government research institutions. Since that time Daedeok Science Town has also attracted private research institutions, mainly during the 1900s. This study geographically analyzes this research institutions to clarify the regional identity of Daedeok Science Town through an integrated approach of existing new regional geography approach, which is characteristics of labour market as the regional pattern of its laborers' residences, spatial labour division, its research network with other institutions, and networks of university, research institution, and corporations, through the spatial spread of intellectual right of property and through network of technology business incubator relationship with spin offs which is appeared to spatial interaction. The results of the study are as follows: First of all, Daedeok Science Town was not only self-sustenance with marketing garden of agricultural regions in the suburb of Daejeon city but also was consign of agricultural products to Daejeon city before 1972. Since that time, the identity of Daedeok Science town has been formed by externally factors of the science development, by the local decentralization of population and public offices in Seoul metropolitan area in terms of the world economy system, and by the internally accessibility maximization of the central location in Korea between 1992 and 1999. On the part of Daedeok Science Town it has some merits of in-migration from nation-wide, and of mother city's Daejeon. Lastly at the period of the venture business beginning after 1999, the role of institution, developing the existing high technology, made great contribution to an attraction of ventures business to here in need of high technology industry growth, including knowledge-based industry in the informated society. On these bases, Daedeok Science Town seems to grow spontaneously as a science park.

As the recent cultural contents area start-ups are creating remarkable outcomes such as investment attraction together with the reinforced institutional supports from the government, this study aimed to reverify the significance of researches related to correlation analysis between service of Business Incubating Center of Small & Medium Business Administration operated with no separation of business type, and corporate performance, in the aspect of Business Incubating Center in cultural contents area, and also to suggest the importance of establishing the business incubating system in the systematic and rational cultural contents area through the differentiated business incubating service by verifying the significant effects of the business validity of items on corporate performance, and then discovering services suitable for business incubating in cultural contents area, targeting Gyeonggi-do cultural contents area Business Incubating Center recently showing the biggest growth. Especially, contrary to the existing researches, in order to verify the characteristics of Gyeonggi-do Cultural Contents Business Incubating Center, the personal support service and marketing support service were included. It also aimed to understand the effects of the business validity of start-up items on corporate performance. Summarizing the results of this study, contrary to the results of the existing researches saying that spatial & additional support service, management support service, technical support service, personal support service, and marketing support service had significant effects on corporate performance, among the support service of Gyeonggi-do cultural contents area Business Incubating Center, the spatial & additional support service, personal support service, and marketing support service had significantly positive(+) effects on corporate performance while the management support service and technical support service had no significant effects on it. Comparing with the results of the researches on the support service of Business Incubating Center(BI) of Small & Medium Business Administration, the effects of the management support service and technical support service of Gyeonggi-do cultural contents area Business Incubating Center on corporate financial/non-financial performance were not huge. Also, in the results of analyzing the business validity of star-up items, the spatial & additional support service, management support service, and technical support service did not have significant effects on the business validity of start-up items while the personal support service and marketing support service had significantly positive(+) effects on it. In case when selecting companies, Gyeonggi-do Business Incubating Center emphasized the business validity of start-up items. However, the support service provided after the selection did not have huge effects on the business validity of start-up items. Lastly, in the results of analyzing the effects of the business validity of start-up items in Gyeonggi-do cultural contents area on corporate performance, among the success factors of business start-up, the business validity of start-up items was an important element having effects on corporate performance(financial/non-financial) in the cultural contents area.

This research is to analyze spatial characteristics of labor process at the labor properties in footwear industries in Busan Metropolitan area. The production process of a footwear industry is mainly composed of the development and production of goods and design, the development of component parts and materials and the assembly of parts to be end products, and the marketing. Each process inclines to concentrate in a region having the needed labor; therefore, a manufacturing factory for each process attempts to be located at the different places. The critical core functions such as the development of products and design, the development and production of critical component parts and material, and the marketing are carried out by manufacturing companies with the trademark of the products. These functions intend to be located in the Sasang industrial complex in Busan city and Seoul metropolitan area. The function such as the development and production of major component parts and materials needs high skilled technicians and well trained laborer, and inclines to be located in traditional footwear industrial regions. The assembling process is carried out by skilled females and/or unskilled labors, and attempt to be accompanied with critical core functions or outsourcing. This process has been spatially concentrated in the traditional footwear industrial areas; but recently it extends to the developing countries. The development and production of materials and the production of component parts mainly depending on male labors incline to be located in the developed countries for critical core component parts and materials, and to be located in Busan for major components parts and materials. The production of standardized components parts and materials are carried out in the less developed countries.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to suggest a smart city strategy through smart growth considering the human, social and cultural meaning. It seeks opportunities to develop the cities that has not grown by integrating the ICT, a new growth tool for smart cities, into the spatial and physical renewal project. Method: Analyzing policy and strategy of smart living lab and digital cultural contents on the smart growth process under the experience in Amsterdam and Paris. Results: Smart city is expected to be reflected not only the technical aspects but the social characteristics of the city in order to enhance the living environment of the citizens by embracing diverse viewpoints throughout the city. It examines the smart growth plan in the improvement of the living conditions of the citizens. Conclusion: Planning smart city is to discover the smart city adaptability that can enhance the capability of cities to improve the life condition and quality of citizens by applying the core strategies and specialized programs with community service and urban marketing, which are emerging as smart cities based on ICT technologies.
Social and cultural impact of postmodernism in the seek for diversity and to respect the individual's personality and character was the center of human-centered thinking. This also affects the design area, as well as architecture, interior design. It is because of interactive interior design that reflects the lives and relationships with people. Thus, in modern society, people to meet the diverse needs have created a third space. Today's commercial space in the flow to a variety of users and is trying to provide comfort. To go to stores often offer lifestyle and proceeding to the next stage of life. Space for the creative force is trying to become getting better space. Collaboration is refer to phenomenon that two or more objects meet to collaborate. Collaboration is can be classified of space, art, low/high, high concept and star collaboration. And this study has been studied mainly collaboration. Space collaboration is can be classified of experiential, the third space, brand passes and landmark. Space collaboration elements rearranged to the standards of interior design theory, analysis, and marketing of space, commercial space, with previous studies of the spatial elements were extracted. The purpose of this study in the field of interior design space analysis method for the verification of collaboration theory is that to develop. Thus, the space collaboration has been developed to fit the field of interior design, and commercial interior spaces will be helpful for applying.
Brand space is one of the important elements of urban cultural space and can stimulate the urban culture as a significant landmark. Thus, it is necessary to develop factors for evaluating the communication with users in brand spaces. In particular, factors for evaluating the psychological, emotional aspects of users is essential. This study is aimed at developing evaluation factors with a space marketing perspective through an user behavioral analysis. As for research method, the emotional responses of users will be examined and analyzed through an eye-tracking device. First, The researcher will visit brand spaces and take photos of them to collect data and analyze the status. Second, we filled out the questionnaire based on analytical framework and selected 20 architectural students for survey. Third, Eye-tracking experiment will be conducted. Forth, Space design marketing evaluation factors will be established based on the results. Final, suggestions for future research based on the analysis results. When the 30 images of premium supermarkets were used for the survey, men were more sensitive to the store design. But women were more sensitive to the quality or store accessibility. Also, the furniture factor was most important for women, and spatial factor was most important for men. When the eye-tracking experiment was done as to the 5 selected brand spaces, both men and women looked at the furniture factor that includes the showcases more than anything else. It shows the same result as the previous survey.
Domestic distribution market is in a time of transition for the present. With consumers' diverse demands, the growth of department stores, shopping malls, specialized shops and so on has been taken place radically and the competition among them also has become severe. In order to promptly and positively cope with the radically changing trend of market and the generation of competing business entities, they are necessary to establish a discriminated indoor space plan. With such desires as the expansion of leisure activities based on the increase of personal income and the up-gradation, diversification and individualization of living standard based on economic growth, the dining-out space, one of people's life environments, need a variety of changes. In the past, the specialized restaurants of composite shopping malls and department stores were a mere mediating space of food sale between producers and consumers, but today they become a discriminated and creative indoor space which representing customers' lifestyle. The purpose of this study was to examine the characteristic of public space of specialized restaurants at composite shopping malls and department stores and then present a discriminated spatial marketing strategy in order to find out the direction of its proceeding in the future. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to work out basic data for the development of dining-out contents at the time of appearing diverse composite dining-out spaces in the future and of establishing a renovation plan of specialized restaurants at composite shopping malls and department stores in order to provide customers a space which could satisfy their desires. In this vein, the characteristic and composition of necessary space was analyzed based on the examination of cases. The investigator hopes that study findings are used as basic data for the study on the interrelationship between the sale space and dining-out space of composite commercial facilities and for the establishment of marketing strategy to attract customers.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the BI elements of expression for four brand's experience spaces in Korea and propose a direction for improvements for such spaces. I started with the theoretical background of nowadays brand marketing and experiential BI elements through literature researches, and then researched the property of spatial expressions to analyze BI elements. Based on this research, I analyzed four domestic brand experience spaces. As a result, brand experience spaces must clearly express the brand image of the company through various contents and situations to effectively communicate and improve BI expressions. Also, they need long-term experience contents for sustained relationships rather than short-term experiences. I expect this study will be a good resource for BI expression research in brand experience spaces. I also believe that this study can guide other studies about BI expression in other fields.

This study investigated the location conditions, spatial linkage structures, and firm specific problems of small firms of the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area by sectors and by areal distribution. The major locational advantages were closeness to customers and suppliers followed by accessibility to inter-state highways. These results were supported by spatial linkage structures in which within-region linkages occupied a greater portions of linkage, showing the importance of small firms in the regional economy. The linkage patterns showed distance decay effect with high elasticity. While there were no significant differences of locational conditions and spatial linkage structures of small firms between core and peripheral area, a slight difference was identified among sectors. Chemical related manufacturing firms show different locational conditions and spatial linkage structure with weak within-local linkages. The main locational disadvantages were lack of qualified labor, undesirable neighborhood, heavy tax, and space shortage. Considering the biggest problems such as lack of qualified labor, difficulties in sales/marketing, low accessibility to financial resource, and technological inability, the inter-related cooperative business networks among firms and regional institutions, consulting companies, chamber of commerce, and universities are needed to stimulate regional economic development and survival of small firms.
Recently, tourism industry is on the trend of expanding its activity arena, boosted by revitalization of regional economy and reorganization of urban environment, undertaken for the purpose of place marketing. However, Korea has not been able to develop a variety of tourism itineraries that can attract the interest of tourists because most tourism resources are isolated with single function. This constraint has prevented tourism industry in Korea from attaining competitiveness. In attempting to overcome this constraint, this study seeks to develop tourism itineraries by constructing and utilizing database on historical and cultural tourism resources based on the case of Kangneung City. Through the construction of information system on historical and cultural resources and tourism support facilities, optimal tourism itineraries that take into account maintenance conditions, types, values, lodging availabilities and accessibility of tourism resource areas can be developed. Moreover, it is expected that this information system will have a high level of usage in the future, for it can provide a wide range of tourism services on the internet and education materials as well as facilitate resources management.
