  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the formative properties of fashion bag in contemporary fashion. Today fashion bags can be divided into spatial aesthetic, romantic aesthetic, conspicuous aesthetic, active aesthetic. Spatial aesthetic is a type of big bag which is suitable for women carrying lots of things on a daily basis. Romantic aesthetic is a symbol of femininity in respect for its handmade artistry, splendor, decoration, and impracticality by small size. Conspicuous aesthetic embodies human desire of high quality and being part of prestige of luxury brand regardless of its cost. Multi-functional aesthetic was coming form sports gear and are popular among young generation. In comtemporary fashion, bag take important role as the fashion good which make the clothes look better and additionally they are representative products which reflect the historical situation.

  • In this paper the effect of specimen thickness on fatigue crack growth with the spatial distribution of material properties is presented. Basically, the material resistance to fatigue crack growth is treated as a spatial stochastic process, which varies randomly on the crack surface. The theoretical autocorrelation functions of fatigue crack growth resistance with specimen thickness are discussed for several correlation lengths. Constant ${\Delta}K$ fatigue crack growth tests were also performed on CT type specimens with three different thicknesses of BS 4360 steel. Applying the proposed stochastic model and statistical analysis procedure, the experimental data were analyzed for different specimen thicknesses for determining the autocorrelation functions and probability distributions of the fatigue crack growth resistance.

  • The recent completions of free-form spatial structures provide us a very attractive form. To realize such an extraordinary shape, it is absolutely necessary that the connector systems have to be investigated the characteristics of the systems and analyzed with a practicable method. In this context, this research consists of not only literature research but also numerical analysis with selected connector systems, which was adopted in real free-form spatial structures. For numerical analysis, especially, finite element analysis (FEA) is performed with a various test parameter using a commercial program ANSYS. Consequently, the general characteristics of node connectors the moment-rotation-curves are presented by considering a large deformation effect as well as a multi-linear material properties.

  • In this paper, a singularity problem of the state transition matrix is investigated in the spatial propagation when the spatial matrix differential equation is constructed via time finite element analysis. A parametric study shows that the degree of singularity of the state transition matrix depends on the degree of flexibility of the structures. As an alternative to avoid the numerical problems due to the singularity, an analytic solution fur spatial propagation of the flexible structures is proposed. In the proposed method, the spatial properties of the structure are analytically expressed by a combination of transcendental functions. The analytic solution serves fast and accurate results by eliminating the possibility of the error accumulation caused by the boundary condition. Several numerical examples are shown to validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

  • Selectivity estimation for spatial query is curial in Spatial Database Management Systems(SDBMS). Many works have been performed to estimate accurate selectivity. Although they deal with some problems such as false-count, multi-count arising from properties of spatial dataset, they can not get such effects in little memory space.* Therefore, we need to compress spatial dataset into little memory. In this paper, we propose a new technique called MW Histogram which is able to compress summary data and get reasonable results. Our method is based on two techniques:(a)MinSkew partitioning algorithm which deal with skewed spatial datasets. efficiently (b) Wavelet transformation which compression effect is proven. We evaluate our method via real datasets. The experimental result shows that the MW Histogram has the ability of providing estimates with low relative error and retaining the similar estimates even if memory space is small.

  • The study was to investigate an effect of students' learning for enhancing spatial ability, using a geometric manipulative recently designed. A mixed methodology was chosen to achieve the purpose of the study. To find students' achievement, 152 of the 8th graders in Kyunggi Do participated in data collection. At the same time. students' performance of the class was videotaped and analyzed to see students' responses, The results showed that the effect of using the manipulative was statistically significant at level, p<.05 to enhance the spatial ability. Specifically, in comparison of each component. spatial orientation was more effective than spatial visualization. In the spatial orientation, the part of field was more effective than the reorganized whole. It showed that students were given more opportunities to find mathematical properties and relations between 2nd and 3rd-dimensional figures through their intuitive observation, and also the manipulative helped the students find the property of the part of field because it gave an easy way to manipulate the property of the find parts of whole which was composed of the frame of the solid figures without surfaces. In using the manipulative, students were very flexible in finding the number of plane figures, but the relations between the 2nd and 3rd dimensional figures need to be clearly guided in consideration of the characteristics of the manipulative, based on the definitions of geometric properties(cf. points can make lines, not surfaces directly).

  • Image fusion techniques are widely used to integrate a lower spatial resolution multispectral image with a higher spatial resolution panchromatic image. However, the existing techniques either cannot avoid distorting the image spectral properties or involve complicated and time-consuming decomposition and reconstruction processing in the case of wavelet transform-based fusion. In this study a simple spectral preserve fusion technique: the Smoothing Filter-based Replacement(SFR) is proposed based on a simplified solar radiation and land surface reflection model. By using a ratio between a higher resolution image and its low pass filtered (with a smoothing filter) image, spatial details can be injected to a co-registered lower resolution multispectral image minimizing its spectral properties and contrast. The technique can be applied to improve spatial resolution for either colour composites or individual bands. The fidelity to spectral property and the spatial quality of SFM are convincingly demonstrated by an image fusion experiment using IKONOS panchromatic and multispectral images. The visual evaluation and statistical analysis compared with other image fusion techniques confirmed that SFR is a better fusion technique for preserving spectral information.

  • In this paper, we define new quaternionic associated curves called quaternionic principal-direction curves and quaternionic principal-donor curves. We give some properties and relationships between Frenet vectors and curvatures of these curves. For spatial quaternionic curves, we give characterizations for quaternionic helices and quaternionic slant helices by means of their associated curves.

  • In this paper, we propose impr oved binary tree vector quantization based on spatial sensitivity which is one of the human visual properties. We combine the weights based on spatial masking effect according to changes of three primary colors in blocks of images with the process of splitting nodes using eigenvector in binary tree vector quantization. The test results show that the proposed method generates the quantized images with fine color and performs better than the conventional method in terms of clustering the similar regions. Also the proposed method can get the better result in subjective qualify test and PSNR.
