  • Let(X, $\Im$) be a probabilistic metric space with a t-norm. Common fixed point theorems and convergence theorems generalizing the results of Ćirić, Fisher, Sehgal, Istrătescu-Săcuiu and others are proved for three mappings P,S,T on X satisfying $F_{Pu, Pv}(qx){\geq}min\left{F_{Su,Tv}(x),F_{Pu,Su}(x),F_{Pv,Tv}(x),F_{Pu,Tv}(2x),F_{Pv,Su}(2x)\right}$ for every $u, v {\in}X$, all x>0 and some $q{\in}(0, 1)$. One of the main results is extended to uniform spaces. Mathematics Subject Classification (1980): 54H25.

  • The aim of this paper is twofold. Firstly, we introduce the concept of semi-partial isometry in a Banach algebra and carry out a comparison and a classification study for this concept. In particular, we show that in the context of $C^*$-algebras this concept coincides with the notion of partial isometry. Our results encompass several earlier ones concerning partial isometries in Hilbert spaces, Banach spaces and $C^*$-algebras. Finally, we study the notion of (m, p)-semi partial isometries.

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp the application tendency of interior accessories in Korean residential spaces. The main resources were selected documents and articles with pictures published 27 years, from 1976 to 2002, in Modern House, which is the first magazine for the residential space in Korea. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1) Interior accessories were investigated more for functional reasons than decorative reasons. Despite the belief that interior accessories are Primarily for decoration purposes, this study proves that the functional elements are more important as part of the Korean interior. 2) The kind and the amount of interior accessories applied in residential space were decreasing in most accessories as well as in master bedroom, and living rooms from 1994 to 2002. 3) The number of application to Korean traditional accessories in residential space decreases as time goes by. Although they were used as functional accessories as the role of antiques in present.

  • In the Analysis, there have been many cases of confusion on topological structure and uniform structure because they were dealt in metric spaces. The concept of metric spaces is generalized into that of topological spaces but its uniform aspect was much later generalized into the uniform structure by A. Weil. We first investigate Weil's life and his mathematical achievement and then study the history of the uniform structure and its development.

  • The aim of this study is to compare the classification results for choosing the fuzzy membership function within fuzzy rules. There are various methods of extracting rules from training data in the process of fuzzy rules generation. Pattern distribution characteristics are considered to produce fuzzy rules. The accuracy of classification results are depended on not only considering the characteristics of fuzzy subspaces but also choosing the fuzzy membership functions. This paper shows how to produce various type of fuzzy rules from the partitioning the pattern spaces and results of land cover classification in satellite remote sensing images by adopting various fuzzy membership functions. The experiments of this study is applied to Landsat TM image and the results of classification are compared by fuzzy membership functions.

  • Packet classification is an essential architectural component in implementing the quality-of-service (QoS) in today's Internet which provides a best-effort service to ail of its applications. Multiple header fields of incoming packets are compared against a set of rules in packet classification, the highest priority rule among matched rules is selected, and the packet is treated according to the action of the rule. In this Paper, we proposed a new packet classification scheme based on parallel multiple hashing on tuple spaces. Simulation results using real classifiers show that the proposed scheme provides very good performance on the required number of memory accesses and the memory size compared with previous works.

  • Firstly we consider preorders (not necessarily partial orders) on a canonical quotient of the set of the homotopy classes of continuous maps between two spaces induced by a certain equivalence relation ${\sim}_{{\varepsilon}R}$. Secondly we apply it to a classification of orientable fibrations over Y with fibre X. In the classification theorem of J. Stasheff [22] and G. Allaud [3], they use the set $[Y,\;Baut_1X]$ of homotopy classes of continuous maps from Y to $Baut_1X$, which is the classifying space for fibrations with fibre X due to A. Dold and R. Lashof [11]. In this paper we give a classification of fibrations using a preordered set (abbr., proset) structure induced by $[Y,\;Baut_1X]_{{\varepsilon}R}:=[Y,\;Baut_1X]/{\sim}_{{\varepsilon}R}$.

  • The construction information classification which developed for the purpose of adapting informatization in construction industry suggests construction information with standardization. Currently, standardization of construction information is highly necessary for BIM that is main background of alteration as construction industry informatization. The authors suggest improvement of construction information classification. Particularly, extension contents for each facets are suggested to contain BIM. In case of applying extended classification to BIM, interoperability of information will be enhanced and it is effective to integrate information in phase of using BIM.

  • The purpose of this study is to find ways of the view evaluation of biotope classification before development by selecting an area, which is as large as about $10.0km^2$ around Non Gong Up, Auk Po Myun, Dalsung Gun, Daugu where the large project has been planned, as a subject of this study. The results of this study are as follows. Because of the classification of biotope, there are 23 kinds of types that are subdivided into 140 types. Three surveys for selecting the assessment indicators were performed. The first survey analyzed the importance of 22 selected assessment indicators based on the evaluation of an existing literature review and on the spot research. The second survey performed factor analysis and reclassified the value indicators. The third survey computed additive values of the selected assessment indicators. It used a method of standardizing the average importance of indicators by making their sum equal by 10. Theses additive values were then multiplied by each grade of indicators in order to make a final evaluation. The number of assessment indicators finally selected through the survey of asking specialist is vitality elements, visual obstructs elements etc 19. According to the result of evaluation of 1st, 1 grade spaces which especially valuable is analyzed that 7 spaces, 2 grade spaces for 4, 3 grade spaces for 5, 4 grade space for 2, 5 grade space for 5. Because of the evaluation of 2st, 1 grade spaces which especially valuable(1a, 1b) is analyzed that 15 spaces, 2 grade spaces which valuable is analyzed that 28 space. As the evaluation of site suitability model of this study couldn't have high applicability to other similar area because of having only one site as a subject, it is needed to do synthesize and standardization of various examples to have higher objectivity later.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine design preferences for the sales spaces of duty-free shops (DFSs) by conducting image evaluations. The results will help improve quality by influencing designs for the construction, extension or remodeling of these shops. An image measurement method, the semantic differential method, was used to measure cognitive structure using photos of shops. Photos were collected of the DFS at Jeju Island, as well as photos of brand stores designed by architects. Two sets of 16 photos (32 different photos in all) were selected according to photo classification standards and design concepts, both decided by reviewing previous studies and related materials. The evaluation and survey were done by two sets of subjects: sales employees, who have experience and special knowledge of the evaluation of sales space; and students majoring in architecture. To strengthen the evaluation results, I conducted a preliminary survey and a main survey, verifying and complementing findings. 116 surveys were conducted, of which 14 were of poor quality and rejected, leaving and 102 to be analyzed. The collected surveys were statistically analyzed, using SPSS 12.0 for Windows. Reliability, image profile, factor and multi-dimensional scaling analyses were conducted. As a result, image evaluation structure and characteristics were obtained for sales spaces of DFSs, confirming the difference between them and other spaces.
