원전용 이더넷 기반 실시간 제어 통신망을 위한 결함 허용 방법 (Fault-Tolerant Methods of Ethernet-based Real-Time Control Network for Nuclear Power Plants)

  • 본 논문에서는 원자력 발전소용 이더넷 기반 링형 실시간 제어 통신망인 ERCNet(Ethernet-based Real-Time Control Network)에서 고신뢰성을 유지하기 위한 결함 허용 방법들을 제시한다. 임의의 노드의 프로그램 동작에 이상(fault)이 발생하였을 경우, 와치독(Watchdog) 타이머로 탐지하여 링을 자동 복구하고, 그 노드가 다시 회복될 경우의 노드 추가 메커니즘을 제안한다. 이 메커니즘은 한 노드가 전체 네트워크에서 제외되거나 추가될지라도 네트워크가 운용성(operability)을 유지할 수 있도록 한다. 두 번째로, 한 채널 또는 양 채널 에러 발생시 이 에러를 대처하기 위한 채널 이중화 방식과 시스템 이중화 방식에 대해 제안한다. 마지막으로 통신망의 임의의 위치에서 이상이 발생했을 경우 그 발생 위치를 파악할 수 있는 메커니즘을 제안한다.

  • 중소형 어선은 연근해에서 조업 후, 살아있는 상태로 어류를 운반하기 위해서 선박 내에 어창을 구비하고 있다. 이러한 어창에 바닷물과 적당한 양의 산소가 공급되게 함으로써 어류가 활어상태로 유지될 수 있는 환경이 만들어지게 되고 신선한 상태로 운반할 수 있는 것이다. 하지만 이를 위해서는 어선에 많은 수의 산소통을 구비하여야만 어창에 충분한 양의 산소를 공급할 수 있고, 만약 산소통의 산소가 소진되는 경우는 다수의 산소통에 산소를 재충전해야 하는 어려움이 발생한다. 따라서 조업 준비에 있어 시간적 부담을 가중시키고, 재충전에 따른 비용부담도 큰 문제점이 되고 있다. 특히, 산소통의 관리가 미비할 경우에는 조업 중에 산소가 소진되는 상황이 발생할 수 있는데, 이때 활어의 폐사를 막기 위해서는 조업을 중단하고 귀항해야 하는 큰 불편이 생길 수밖에 없다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 충전식으로 사용하는 다수의 산소통을 구비할 필요 없이 어창에 산소를 무한 공급할 수 있는 활어 생명력유지 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 제안된 시스템의 특징은 어류의 생존환경 극대화를 위하여 산소와 폭기용 공기를 함께 공급하도록 하였으며, 편리한 사용을 위해 산소 온도가 자동으로 조절되도록 설계하였다.

  • 동결절편검사는 수술과 연계하여 암 전이 여부를 판단하기 위한 응급한 병리검사가 필요할 때 이용된다. 합성곱 신경망은 이미지 분류에 뛰어난 성능을 보이는 딥러닝 기법으로 본 논문에서는 이를 이용하여 유방암 전이 여부를 자동적으로 진단하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험과정은 전처리, 학습, 후처리의 과정으로 구성되어 있으며, 합성곱 신경망으로는 Resnet-18 모델을 사용하였다. 실험결과 예측 정확도 및 종양의 최대 길이 정합 여부를 점수로 환산하여 약 0.514 의 결과를 보였다.

  • HK표고버섯균사체(HK shiitake mushroom mycelium, HKSMM)는 간 건강 개별 인정 건강기능식품이다. LPS로 활성화된 RAW 264.7 세포에서 HKSMM50 (HKSMM의 50% ethanol 수용액 추출물)의 항염증효과를 연구하였다. AHCC는 positive control로 사용하였다. LPS로 활성화된 RAW 264.7 세포에 HKSMM50 및 AHCC를 처리(0, 20, 100, 500 ㎍/ml)하고 24시간 배양하여 배양물의 염증 관련 인자는 ELISA kits로, 세포에 함유된 iNOS와 COX-2 protein 발현은 Western blotting으로 측정하였다. HKSMM50는 LPS 처리에 비해 농도 의존적으로 NF-κB 함량을 낮추었고, iNOS와 COX-2 protein 발현을 억제하여 NO와 PGE2 함량을 낮추었다. 더불어 HKSMM50는 LPS 처리에 비해 IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-4 및 IL-6의 함량을 낮추었으나 SOD와 CAT의 활성은 증가시켰다. AHCC도 HKSSM50 처리와 비슷한 효과를 나타내었다. 이 결과는 HKSMM50이 LPS로 활성화된 RAW 264.7 세포에서 NF-κB 신호전달을 억제하여 항염증효과를 나타내었으며, HKSMM은 면역기능증진에 도움을 줄 수 있는 건강기능식품원료로 사용할 수 있을 것이다.

Massive barium sulfate aspiration during upper gastrointestinal contrast material study in an elderly patient with dysphagia

  • Barium sulfate is an inert material used as a radiographic contrast medium during upper gastrointestinal contrast studies for evaluation of patients with dysphagia. Oral barium aspiration is an uncommon but well-reported complication of this procedure. While barium aspiration of small amounts may not cause any symptoms, massive barium aspiration can be life-threatening, particularly in elderly patients with multiple comorbidities. In this case report, we describe an elderly patient with multiple comorbidities who presented with thyrotoxicosis and dysphagia, and then died after massive barium aspiration. Despite administration of intensive medical care with ventilator support and therapeutic bronchoalveolar lavage to remove the aspirated barium, the patient died of multiple organ failure 9 days after barium aspiration. Clinicians should pay attention to elderly patients with predisposing factors for aspiration in whom upper gastrointestinal barium contrast studies are indicated, and should consider other diagnostic tools for evaluation of dysphagia in this population.

쌀보리 약배양을 위한 약치상 방법별 배양효율 (Anther Culture Efficiency According to Plating Method in Naked Barley)

  • Barley anther culture is hard working to plating picking out anther from the glume and demand long time comparing to be short available development stage for effective culture. Also, it has been treatment massive materials due to low plantlet comparing to get desirable plants intensively. Consequently, this experiment was carried out trying to be more high barley anther culture effectively in terms of save plating effort. Plating materials and culture temperature affected anther culture efficiency are among the inoculation tissues or organs such as anthers, spikelets and whole panicles, culture efficiency was higher with spikelets in two-rowed than six-rowed barley due primarily to a lower contamination, and calli were induced within 30 to 50 days. Callus induction and plant regeneration rates were higher in cultures at $25^{\circ}C$ than at $15^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$. Days to callus induction were 25 to 50 days at $25^{\circ}C$ and 50 to 60 days at $20^{\circ}C$.

메틸수은으로 손상된 골모세포에 대한 홍화의 효과에 관한 연구 (Study on the Effect of Flos Carthami on Cultured Osteoblasts Damaged by Methylmercuric Chloride)

  • To evaluate the osteotoxic effect of methylmercuric chloride(MMC) on cultured mouse osteoblasts, cytotoxic effect was measured by MTT assay after cultured mouse osteoblasts were incubated with various concentrations of MMC for 20 hours. The protective effect of Flos Carthami(FC) against MMC-induced osteotoxicity was also examined in these cultures. MMC decreased cell viability of cultured mouse osteoblasts remarkably in a dose- and time-dependent manners. In protective effect of FC was remarkably effective in blocking the osteotoxicity induced by MMC. From aboved the results, it is suggested that MMC induce osteotoxicity, and the selective herba extract such as FC is very effective in blocking MMC-mediated neurotoxicity on cultured mouse osteoblasts.

  • The Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT) will feature two interchangeable Gregorian secondary mirrors, an adaptive secondary mirror (ASM) and a fast-steering secondary mirror (FSM). The FSM has an effective diameter of 3.2 m and built as seven 1.1 m diameter circular segments, which are conjugated 1:1 to the seven 8.4m segments of the primary. Each FSM segment contains a tip-tilt capability for fine co-alignment of the telescope subapertures and fast guiding to attenuate telescope wind shake and mount control jitter. This tip-tilt capability thus enhances performance of the telescope in the seeing limited observation mode. As the first stage of the FSM development, KASI conducted a Phase 0 study to develop a program plan detailing the design and manufacturing process for the seven FSM segments. The GMTO-KASI team matured this plan via an internal review in May 2016 and the revised plan was further assessed by an external review in June 2016. In this poster, we present the technical aspects of the FSM development plan.

Analgesic Effect of Intrathecal Ginsenosides in a Murine Bone Cancer Pain

  • Background: Bone cancer pain has a disruptive effect on the cancer patient's quality of life. Although ginsenosides have been used as traditional medicine in Eastern Medicine, the effect on bone cancer pain has not been throughly studied. The aim of this study was to determine whether ginsenosides may alter the bone cancer pain at the spinal level. Methods: NCTC 2472 tumor cells ($2.5{\times}10^5$) were injected into the femur of adult male C3H/HeJ mice to evoke bone tumor and bone cancer pain. To develop bone tumor, radiologic pictures were obtained. To assess pain, the withdrawal thereshold was measured by applying a von Frey filament to the tumor cells inoculation site. The effect of intrathecal ginsenosides was investigated. Effect of ginsenosides (150, 500, $1,000{\mu}g$) was examined at 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 min after intrathecal delivery. Results: The intrafemoral injection of NCTC 2472 tumor cells induced a radiological bone tumor. The withdrawal threshold with tumor development was significantly decreased compared to the sham animals. Intrathecal ginsenosides effectively increased the withdrawal threshold in the bone cancer site. Conclusions: NCTC 2472 tumor cells injection into the mice femur caused bone tumor and bone cancer pain. Intrathecal ginsenosides attenuated the bone cancer-related pain behavior. Therefore, spinal ginsenosides may be an alternative analgesic for treating bone cancer pain.

Enhanced Biosynthesis of ${\alpha}$-tocopherol in Transgenic Soybean by Introducing ${\gamma}$-TMT gene

  • This study was conducted to improve tocopherol (vitamin E) composition in soybean (Glycine max) by introducing a gamma-tocopherol methyl transferase (${\gamma}$-TMT) gene via Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation. Immature cotyledon explants were cocultivated with Agrobacterium tumefaciens. Putative transgenic embryos were selected from immature cotyledons on MS medium supplemented with 40 mg/L 2,4-D containing 100 mg/L kanamycin, 500 mg/L carbenicillin and 250 mg/L cefotaxime. Plantlets were developed from somatic embryos, and then transferred to soil. Nineteen regenerated plantlets obtained on the selection medium from 1,460 cotyledons. However, only 9 plantlets were confirmed as transformed plants. Integration of the transgene into the soybean genomic DNA was confirmed by PCR and Southern blot analysis. HPLC analysis showed that the content of ${\alpha}$-tocopherol in transgenic soybean seeds (AT-1) was approximately 4-fold higher than that of non-transgenic plants. Conclusively, we obtained the transgenic soybean having increased ${\alpha}$-tocopherol content by the overexpression of ${\gamma}$-TMT transgene.
