만평 속 인물캐릭터인 '국정원 여직원'의 기호적 분석 (Symbolic Analysis of a Figure Character in Satirical Cartoon 'National Intelligence Service Female Agent')

  • 만평은 특정인물 또는 사회현상을 풍자하기 위해서 특정인물 또는 사회현상에 비유되는 인물캐릭터를 등장시킨다. 만평 속 인물캐릭터의 말과 행위를 통해 부정행위를 한 권력자나 부조리한 사회현상을 드러낸다. 본 연구의 인물캐릭터인 국정원 여직원은 장기간에 걸쳐 만평에 등장하고 있으며, 실제 인물 대신에 사회현상을 비유하고 있다. 이처럼 국정원 여직원이 장기간에 걸쳐 만평 속 인물캐릭터로 등장하는 이유는 관련된 사회현상이 종결되지 않고 진행 중이기 때문이다. 또한 실제인물 대신에 사회현상을 비유하는 이유는 국정원 여직원의 숨겨진 얼굴로 인해 얼굴을 알기 쉽지 않은데 기인한다. 숨겨진 얼굴은 인물의 특징을 과장하기 힘들게 한다. 숨겨진 얼굴은 야구모자와 목도리로 상징되는 숨고 싶은 욕망의 표현이기도 하다. 숨겨진 얼굴과 숨고 싶은 욕망은 실제 인물 대신에 관련 있는 다른 인물 혹은 사회현상으로 치환하기 쉽게 만든다. 즉 국정원 여직원의 외형적 특징은 만평에서 '추가된 기의'를 결합시키기에 좋은 조건을 갖추고 있는 셈이다. 만평 속 인물캐릭터인 국정원 여직원은 실제 국정원 여직원과 무관하게 여러 의미가 필요에 의해 결합하여 실제 인물은 사라지고 다른 인물 혹은 집단 또는 사회현상으로 치환된다. 이처럼 본 연구는 만평에서 '국정원 여직원'으로 등장하는 인물캐릭터를 기호적으로 분석함으로써 만평 속 인물캐릭터의 역할을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 만평 속 인물캐릭터의 기호적 분석을 통해 다음을 알 수 있다. 첫 번째, 만평은 사회현상을 풍자한다. 만평 속 인물캐릭터가 실제 인물을 대신하여 사회현상을 풍자한다. 두 번째, 만평은 정치가 만들어내는 부조리한 사회현상의 핵심적이거나 감추고 싶은 치부를 드러내어 풍자한다. 만평 속 인물캐릭터가 실제 인물을 대신하여 사회현상의 핵심적이거나 감추고 싶은 치부를 드러내어 풍자한다. 세 번째, 만평은 정치가 만들어내는 부조리한 사회현상의 책임자에게 경고의 메시지를 보낸다. 만평 속 인물캐릭터가 실제 인물을 대신하여 정치가 만들어내는 부조리한 사회현상의 책임자에게 경고의 메시지를 보낸다. 네 번째, 만평은 정치가 만들어내는 부조리한 사회현상에 의해 개인이 받게 되는 상처 혹은 스트레스를 견딜 수 있게 카타르시스를 제공한다. 만평 속 인물캐릭터가 실제 인물을 풍자하고 조롱함으로써 부조리한 사회현상에 의해 개인이 받게 되는 상처 혹은 스트레스를 견딜 수 있게 카타르시스를 제공한다.

한국의 조기유학 (South Korean Early Study Abroad)

  • The study abroad phenomenon at an early age in Korea is increasing steadily. Increasing social demand for global leaders, disappointment in Korean educational system and economic growth are motivating more students to study abroad. The study abroad is a social phenomenon that is widespread across all social status in Korea. This study tries to examine the phenomenon in respect to social, psychological, educational and economical perspectives and seek future research questions. The findings suggest ways to improve Korean educational system, support students currently or planning to study abroad and to re-adjust in Korea after they come back. A balanced perspective is necessary in viewing study abroad phenomenon, rather than preventing, implementing stronger pulling factors in Korean educational system. It is necessary to hold the study abroad as another educational opportunity.

20세기 패션에 나타난 세기말적 신비주의 (Mysticism in the twentieth Century Depcadent Fashion)

  • This study is focused on 'mysticism' in fashion which is recently marked as one of the cultural phenomenon emerging at the end of the century, First of all the concept of 'mysticism' and 'occultism' are reviewed to define the mysticism in fashion. Mysticism as a cultural phenomenon is also examined in historical and social context. With these theoretical basis articles which were publshed in 1990s from Korean newspapers and magazines which reported cultural phenomenon related to mysticism are analyzed and categorized. Finally these categories are applied to fashion phenomenon and 'mysticimsm in fashion' is analyzed and clearly examined as a fashion trend. As a result mysticism in fashion that has arose as an end of the century phenomenon within the historical and social context could be categorized into five groups such as 'primitive religion' ' Christianity ' 'oriental philosophy' 'universe' and 'magic and witchcraft'.

소셜 미디어 빅데이터를 활용한 호캉스(hocance) 현상 분석 (An Analysis of the Hocance Phenomenon using Social Media Big Data)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to examine the recent popular consumption trend, the hocance phenomenon, using social media big data. The study intended to present practical directions and marketing measures for the recovery and growth of the hotel industry after COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach - Big data analysis has been used in various fields, and in this study, it was used to understand the hocance phenomenon. For three years from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020, we collected text data including the keyword 'hocance' from the blog and cafe of NAVER and Daum. TEXTOM and UCINET 6 were used to collect and analyze the data. Findings - According to the results of analysis, the words such as 'hocance', 'hotel', 'Seoul', 'travel', 'swimming pool', 'Incheon', 'breakfast', 'child' and 'friend' were identified with high frequency. The results of CONCOR analysis showed similar results in all three years. It has been confirmed that 'swimming pool', 'breakfast', 'child' and 'friend' are important when deciding on the hocance package. Research implications or Originality - The study was differentiated in that it used social media big data instead of traditional research methods. Furthermore, it reflected social phenomena as a consumption trend so there was practical value in establishing marketing strategies for the tourism and hotel industry.

中国经济新常态下的 '新东北现象': 特征与含意 (Features and Implications of 'New Northeast Phenomenon' in China's New Normal Period)

  • 本文关注到与过去不同的新常态下 '新东北现象' 的复合特征,着重阐述最近 '新东北现象' 里的主要三个现象-经济现象, 人口现象, 财政现象。2014年以来东北地区经济增速减缓虽成大问题,同其间东北有关人口状况与财政支出结构变动也很突出。总之, 2014年以后在东北地区, 经济增长衰退, 人口减少与人才流失加剧, 老龄化提速, 财政收支缺口增加与社会保障支出激增, 这些现象都同时发生, 互相影响着产生恶性循环, 新常态下的 '新东北现象' 之难点就在这复合实质。那么, 新常态下的 '新东北现象' 之如此复合特征与难点给全中国何含意? 本文提出两点。第一, 基于近来中国一些有关状况变化趋势来看, 东北可以被视为中国的一个缩影, 新常态下的 '新东北现象' 不限于东北地区, 不久将来很可能扩散到中国其他区域, 会成为全中国现象。第二, 新常态下的 '新东北现象' 出现, 对于改革开发以来实行的西部大开发战略, 中部崛起战略, 东北振兴战略等一系列区域大开发战略的根本性效果, 要求深刻的反思且重新构想。这些区域发展战略, 虽有所成就, 中西部地区, 尤其是西部, 还仍然相对很落后, 中国区域差距一向没有缩小。振兴东北战略实行已有了20来年, 新常态下的 '新东北现象' 出现也显示长期以来困扰东北经济的深层次问题始终没有得到解决。近来习进平格外强调 '共同富裕', '新东北现象' 也成为本届中央政府最急切解决的问题之一, 如果成功了, 既能为重新构思和调整区域发展战略提出有效方向, 又能为对应未来中国经济社会变动成为一个重要标志。

  • For many social scientists, the comparative method has been a part of the common enterprise of describing, explaining, and developing theories about socio-cultural phenomena. However, it is rare that comparison has been methodologically considered in architectural history in spite of the usefulness for understanding the similarities and differences among architectural styles. This research emphasizes the importance of comparative methodology in architectural history and proposes an example which can be introduced from the comparative method for social studies. The application in this study is based on the assumption that an architectural phenomenon is a kind of social phenomenon and comparative method in social study can be applied to architectural history. The method is to generate and test hypotheses through establishing functional correlation between variables treated as the objective facts that differentiate one type of building from another.

  • The culture phenomenon, which the desire of self expression is noticeable and the diversity of gender identity is widely accepted, simply makes a difference in the lifestyle of one human being rather than the dichotomous classification of male and female. Now, the delicate and aesthetic sensitivity classified as the feminine characteristics is no longer the exclusive property of female and this refers to substituting it as a social gender from the concept of biological sex. This phenomenon has influenced on the male culture and is creating various codes according to the cultural gender extended from the gender as a social role. Also, the transition into the western lifestyle has extended the aesthetic emotion to accommodate new codes from the diversification and globalization of lifestyle. The mansumer power, which does not care too much about the money for the emotionally attached items, has enabled various fashion styles. After analyzing the diversified clothing behavior conducted by these people in connection with the social phenomenon, First, this shows the phenomenon of emotional value pursuit that finds pleasure over the clothing as the item of augmented reality is added to the concept of play, in which the real space referred to as garment and virtual space of playing the rock, paper and scissors game meet together within the augmented reality. Second, the convergence concept has enabled the coordination of new style by obscuring the area of design concept and this refers to the changes in design from the development of new items and transformation into double-style details. Third, the divergence that intensively provides specific use/convenience and specialized value shows a change in the fashion market from the phenomenon that admits various gene rations of culture and specifically, takes differently about the recognition of middle-aged males. Fourth, the variety seeking tendency receives attention as the value of future design together with the phenomenon of discriminative value pursuit. In the male fashion, it is linked to the collaboration with the design area and this tells that the fashion with the narcissistic cross-dressing and motto of neutral gender without being sided to male/female is rising.

고령화 현상의 공간적 패턴 변화와 지역특성과의 관계 분석 (Analysis on Spatial Pattern Changes of Aging Phenomenon and Relation between Aging Population and Regional Characteristics)

  • Aging phenomenon is an important issue in Korea national policy. This aging phenomenon depends on the social and environmental characteristics of regions. Also aging phenomenon and regional characteristics have spatial dependency. The purpose of this study is to discover the spatial changes in aging population rate and to find local factors of regional aging phenomenon considering spatial autocorrelation. For spatial analysis of ageing phenomenon, local Moran's I and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) were applied. As the results, the most significant changes of aging phenomenon appeared between 2000 and 2005, and most of hot-spot regions (aged regions) were distributed in Jullanam-do and Jullabuk-do. The results of GWR (R-square: 0.681) shows that total fertility rate, the number of doctor per 1,000 people and forest area rate have positive relation with aging population rate, but the number of private academy per 1,000 people has negative relation.

  • 코로나19 이후 배달 플랫폼에 참여하는 개인이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 현상은 좀 더 나은 미래 설계를 위하여 한 개 이상의 소득원을 확보한다는 엔(n)잡러 세태와 맞물려, 더욱 관심이 고조되고 있다. 그러나 아직 해당 현상에 관한 학술적 논의는 매우 부족하다. 이에, 본 연구는 코로나 19가 시작된 2019년 1월부터 현시점까지의 기간을 연구대상으로, 관련 뉴스 데이터에 대한 텍스트 마이닝을 통한 사회적 논의주제를 발굴하고자 하였다. 결과는 현상에 대한 소개, 참여자 속성에 대한 논의, 그들의 수익에 관한 관심, 좋은 일자리인지에 대한 담론, 그리고 그들을 둘러싼 우려라는 주제로 함축·제시하였다. 본 연구는 배달 플랫폼 비즈니스와 관련된 논의의 관점을 개인 참여자로 확대하여 현상을 체계적으로 조망하였다는데 의의가 존재한다. 본 연구를 기반으로, 향후 감성분석 결합을 통하여 특정 주제에 관한 긍정·부정 감성조망 등 해당 현상을 둘러싼 더욱 세밀한 사회적 담론 분석이 형성되길 기대한다.

  • The article examines the axiological psycho-philosophical understanding of the phenomenon of money and its value role in modern society. The traditional and virtual context of the representation of the money phenomenon is considered.Following the ideas of G. Simmel, the authors consider money not only as a purely economic, but also a psycho-philosophical, cultural and social phenomenon. Money appears as a result of cultural development of the world and gradually forms a monetary culture as a space of economic and social interaction of people. Under the influence of the monetary culture of one or another historical period, the character of a person's economic activity, values and life orientations are formed. Modern money culture is often called financial civilization. Peculiarities of modern monetary culture are studied, its main features and problems are determined in the article. The problem of the peculiarities of the constructive and destructive attitude of the individual towards money is identified; a psycho-philosophical and cultural-identification typology of people is described, which is based on clinical observations and interpreted through the prism of psychoanalytic theory. The concept of money is highlighted from the standpoint of a social-psychological approach. The theoretical foundations of money's influence on the decision-making process and human behavior are also revealed.
