  • The goal of this research is to discover various cognitive types on social work practice by using Q methodology which explores subjectivities of human beings. The researchers selected 40 Q items among 293 Q populations from data through in-depth interviews of eight social workers and literature reviews, and the reliability was r=.816. Twenty-nine social workers sorted Q items and the obtained data was analysed by the QUANL program. The perception types were divided into three patterns and the eigen value was .5849. Three perception types on social workers' practices were 'relationship-centered(type 1)', 'change-centered(type 2)' and 'resource-centered(type 3)' practices. These types were different in perceptions on identification of relationship with clients, key characteristics, skills and strengths as a social worker. According to these results, the researchers offered some significant implications and suggested several following studies.

Sixty-seven Q-samples were extracted from the Q-population which was constructed, along with analyzing previous research by conducting in-depth interviews with 15. A total of 50 babyboomers, male and female 25 each, participated in Q-sorting, and the data of 50 subjects was finally analysed using QUANL program and found that three factor structures(6 types) were appropriate accounted for 34.06% of the total variance. These six types were different in social participation spontaneity, motivation, preferring activities and constraint factors; 'an ordinary commoner' type and 'the doyen' type (factor 1), 'a social activist' type and 'a kicked out salaried worker'(factor 2), 'still-youth' type and 'now-senior' type(factor 3). According to these results, the researcher discussed theoretically and suggested some significant social welfare implications.

The social Q&A community is a platform for knowledge-sharing activities in a question-and-answer manner based on Web 2.0. In knowledge-sharing activities, valuable new knowledge continues to be produced and will surely bring great benefits to individuals or businesses. In the social Q&A community, the user's subjective factors play a crucial role in influencing the user's continued use and participation in knowledge-sharing activities. In order for users to actively participate in knowledge-sharing activities in the community, it needs to grasp their subjective ideas. This study explores the issue of sharing knowledge by users of the social Q&A community "Zhihu", or how to drive community revitalization efforts from these. The three factors self-efficacy, self-development motivation, and social comparison tendencies were derived, and identify their relationship with knowledge-sharing activities and community-boosting efforts through empirical analysis. In addition, the influence of knowledge acquisition on knowledge provision was investigated through sense of reciprocity. Implications of the study findings and the future research directions were also discussed.

However, corporate philanthropy is not operating as an accomplished conception yet, but as a type of the practical discourse. Therefore corporate philanthropy is interpreted a multiplicity of meanings is used ambiguously in social work practice field. This is because theoretical reviews on the conceptual thinking of corporate philanthropy are scant and is in need of empirical inquires into conceptual perception of social workers who uses this concept as a stakeholder to corporate philanthropy. After analyzing the data using Q methodology, the result shows that social workers' major perception patterns on corporate philanthropy perspective consists of three patterns; Win-Win Partnership, Social-obligation, Strategic Materialism. These patterns are classified by the dimension of 'classical view', 'socio-economic view', 'modern view' and 'philanthrophic view'. This result will attribute to develop theories, social work practice program and social worker' training program related corporate philanthropy. And to give facilities for lucid communication among practice and theory in social work field as it materializes the explicit conception of corporate philanthropy that is understood ambiguously in Korea.

  • Social Q&A sites, where individuals freely ask and answer each other online, play an important role as a public knowledge repository. For their sustainable growth, social Q&A sites constantly need new askers and new answerers. However, previous studies have focused only on answerers, with little attention to new users or askers. This study examines the factors encouraging new users to continue using social Q&A sites based on motivational affordance theory and self-determination theory, and also investigates whether the factors differ depending on the types of users (i.e., new asker vs. new answerer). In addition, the moderating effect of prior experience with a member Q&A site was examined. Using logistic regression and XGBoost, we analyzed online activity data from 25,000 users in the Stack Exchange Network and found that design elements with motivational affordances had significant impacts on new users' continuance behavior. The experience of a member Q&A site negatively moderated the influence of the antecedents of continuance behavior. Interestingly, the influence of editing was not significant in the analysis of new users as a whole, but was significant in the separate analyses of askers (significantly negative) and answerers (significantly positive).

  • This study is about the technology convergence analysis of e-commerce related patents containing Artificial Intelligence applied for in Korea. The relationships between core technologies were analyzed and visualized using social network analysis. As a result of social network analysis, the core IPC codes that make up the mutual technology network in e-commerce related patents containing Artificial Intelligence were found to be G06Q, G06F, G06N, G16H, G10L, H04N, G06T, and A61B. In particular, it can be confirmed that there is an important convergence of data processing-related technologies such as [G06Q-G06F], [G06Q-G06N], and voice and image signals such as [G06Q-G10L], [G06Q-H04N], and [G06Q-G06T]. Using this research method, it is possible to identify future technology trends in e-commerce related patents and create new Business Models.

  • This research examined elderly’s quality of life(q/l). In order to explore the elderly’s q/l, it was conceptualized into 8 dimensions tapping macro and micro aspects of elderly’s life: physical & mental health, self-esteem, anxiety, social support, family solidarity, economic state, and physical environment. The primary purposes were to describe dimensions of q/l by the elderly’s sociodemographic variables. And the intercorrelations among q/l dimensions were examined and then the effects of q/l sub-dimensions on psychological well-being were analyzed by using multiple regression. Based on the data collected for 677 subjects residing in rural and urban areas, the basic issues hypothesized were explored. The findings appeared that the psychological well-being was a positive function of physical and mental health, self-esteem, social support, and economic state and a negative one of social anxiety, controlling for subjects’s sociodemographic variables.
