Excluding 19 inadequate answers, 279 questionnaire copies were analyzed. First, the analysis results is knowledge level of oral care, the students who smoking or drinking were found to be more than without experience groups (p=0.025). Second, in regard to the self perception of oral condition, the group with experience of proper tooth brushing techniques has statistically significant difference compared to the group without experience (p=0.000). And third, the question about oral health behavior was significantly higher than the group with no smoking experience. The importance of oral health care is closely related to oral health knowledge. It's necessary to provide oral health promotion program and smoking cessation programs in high school students.

Method: The survey questionnaire was mailed out to nurses who were working at the randomly selected hospitals throughout the country from November 28, 2003 to February 15, 2004. Result: $0.6\%$ of nurses were current smokers $40.7\%$ of nurses have attended smoking cessation education. Nurses who were older, had masters degree, had oncology experience, higher position, participated in smoking cessation education, and had smoking related disease among family members were variables related to higher frequencies in delivering tobacco interventions. Conclusion: Although nurses are in an important position in delivering tobacco interventions and provide resources, their participation in consistent delivery of an intervention is less than desirable. Objectives: This study aimed to explore whether there are differences in smoking status between two regions of Wonju-City and Chuncheon-City, Gangwon State, and to determine whether the experience of smoking cessation programs in the region affects quit attempts. Methods: The study design was a cross-sectional study in which adults aged 19 and older living in two cities were surveyed using a pre-developed mobile app to investigate social capital for smoking cessation, and a total of 600 citizens were participated, including 310 in Wonju-City and 290 in Chuncheon-City. The statistical analysis was conducted using chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. Results: Wonju-City had a higher prevalence of current smoking than Chuncheon-City. Among smoking cessation programs operated by local public health centers, Wonju-City had a lower odds ratio for experience with smoking cessation education than Chuncheon-City (OR=0.52, 95% CI=0.33 to 0.81). When examining the effect of smoking cessation program experience on quit attempts, in Wonju-City, citizens who had completed smoking cessation education and used a smoking cessation clinic were more likely to attempt to quit than those who had not (OR=2.31 and OR=2.29, respectively). In Chuncheon-City, citizens who were aware of smoking cessation support services were 2.26 times more likely to attempt to quit smoking than those who were not, but statistical significance was not reached due to the small sample size. Conclusion: Therefore, healthcare organizations in both regions should develop more practical intervention strategies to increase smokers' quit attempts, reduce smoking rates in the community, and address regional disparities.

This study aims to provide basic evidence for establishing prevention programs of school' mental health by identifying the factors of middle and high school student's depression and suicidal ideation related to stress of peer-relationship. For this purpose, we analyzed the data of 6,924 (who Experienced stress related to peer-relationship) among the 2012 Korean Youth Health Risk Behavior Online Survey(8th). In demographic characteristics, subjective academic achievement affects depression in the case of girls. In health-related characteristics, medical treatment by violence, drinking experience, smoking experience have an effect on depression in the case of boys. Subjective health, drinking experience, smoking experience, drug experience are the factors affecting suicidal ideation both boys and girls. In order to promote mental health of youth, school-based prevention education complementing existing realistic problems needs to be implemented.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the peer group factor related to adolescent smoking in the social structure(network) of adolescent groups, by applying the theory of social network. Methods: The data was collected from boy students of one high school located in Gun-Po city of Kyonggi Province. The total number of the sample was 605(223 first grade, 198 second grade, 184 third grade). The survey using the questionnaire was carried out in April 2005. Social position is finally classified as clique member, liaison, isolate group by using the NetMiner II 2.5 version. Results: The current smoking rate was 15.0%, and the life-time smoking rate was 34.9%. The smoking rate increased significantly, as the grade went up. And it was significantly high among the group having smoking friends. The logistic regression analysis showed that the odds ratio of the smoking friends group was about 4 times higher than the no smoking friends group in experience of smoking. But the smoking rate was higher significantly in the isolate group within the network composed of 2. person's social-link. The odds ratio of the isolate group was about 4.5 times higher than the clique member. However, this pattern was not found in the network composed of 3 person's social-link. Therefore, the hypothesis that clique member would have a correlation with smoking was rejected. In reality, the isolate group had a tendency of smoking more frequently. Conclusions: The result of this study suggests that the role of the peer group in smoking is to be considered in the prevention program. More attentions should be paid for the isolate group.
Purpose : This study are the secondary data of Global Youth Tobacco Survey(GYTS) developed by the WHO and United State Center for Disease Control(CDC) and Prevention to trace tobacco use among youth in youth in countries across the world. This study was carried out to serve for a basis for antismoking campaigns and to prevent adolescents from smoking by analyzing the smoking by analyzing the smoking realities factors. Methods : This study is a cross-sectional school-based survey, which employed a two-stage cluster sample design to produce a nationally representative sample of middle school students aged 13 to 15 years olds. Seventy-five schools were selected. All schools containing grade 1, 2 and 3 that contained 40 or students were included in the sampling frame. Results : The results of this study were as follows ; 1. The proportion of smoking students in middle school was 6.4% and the rate of smoking in male students(7.4%) was higher than it of in female students(5.5%). 2. 26.5% of all respondent had a experience to try smoke and the results showed that the rate of trying smoking in male students was increased by grade more than female students. 3. According to test of significance in regression analysis, the independent variables such as sex, school grade, smoking parents, friends distinction, pocket money and others showed statistical significance. 4. There was a statistical significance between smokers and nonsmokers in proportion to the completing the preventive education for nonsmoking(p=0.0023) and the acquirement of knowledge on smoking(p<.0001). 5. Finally there was a statistical significance between the exposure to anti-smoking campaign(p=0.0053) and tobacco advertisement in the mass media and the smoking(p=0.0036). Conclusion : All things considered, the health education for tobacco control in school need to be developed from an elementary school. I suggest that prevent smoking program in school need to be revitalized and be made more accessible for everyone who wish to quit. And the government should develop the regulation on total banning promoting cigarette advertising and smoking scene in the movie for young people.
