An exploratory study of applying SNS to lecture and professor trust (SNS 활용한 강의와 교수신뢰에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • This is an exploratory study to verify the impact of applying SNS to lecture on the professor trust and students achievement. The subject of the study is two groups which consist of SNS applied class and the group using legacy online class supporting system and the contents, material, activities of class are same. We verified the differences between two groups with the professor trust divided into 4 constructs such as intimacy, expertise, teaching ability, leadership based on the literature review and students achievement classified into midterm and final. The results shows that intimacy and final evaluation are statistically significant between two groups.

A Study on Factors Affecting Learner Satisfaction in Real-time Distance Video Lecture

  • As the COVID-19 pandemic spread around the world, more and more universities are conducting real-time distance video lectures using ZOOM, Webex, and MS Teams. This study attempts to identify the factors influencing learner satisfaction of real-time distance video lectures. Based on the existing research, it was composed of five elements (system factor, content quality, interaction, self-direction, and learning motivation) as learner satisfaction elements of real-time distance video lectures. As a result of analyzing the structural equation model of 160 effective questionnaires by conducting a survey of college students in the metropolitan and Chungcheong areas, it was found that three factors (interaction, self-direction, and learning motivation) influence learner satisfaction. Real-time distance video lectures are expected to continue to expand in the future. Therefore, universities should continuously increase learner satisfaction through the development and evaluation of real-time distance video lecture satisfaction models.

  • The Many universities and educational institutions have focused on shifting education paradigm into smart learning using high-tech devices and internet as the level of technology has growing rapidly in every society. Especially, cyber universities and open universities in Korea are trying to develop educational network system and infrastructure corresponding to new convergence technology environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to introduce clouded based education system in order to suggest an effective way of using new educational learning system. This study shows the case of Hangout learning system used in K University in Korea to suggest a new educational learning model for real-time lecture and cloud based service platform for improving educational learning environment.

An Implementation of Attendance Management System using NFC (NFC를 활용한 출결관리 시스템 구현)

  • Recently, interest is rapidly increasing in short-range wireless communication such as NFC (Near Field Communication). In order to minimize the attendance time, we propose the attendance management system using the NFC tags attached in all of the desks in a classroom and NFC readers embedded in most of the smart-phones released in lately. The system consists of PC version web-application for professors and the android version app-application for students. And it provides the professors with more lecture time by saving the attendance check time. The contribution of this paper include that it proposes and develops the prototype of the attendance management system using NFC and proves that the system is applicable to the various kinds of educational organizations.

  • 매 학기 교수별, 과목별, 강의실별 시간표를 학사규정에 맞추어 수작업으로 작성하였다. 이에 업무량 및 시간적인 효율성 증대가 요구된다. 수작업으로 진행되는 프로세스 과정을 데이터베이스와 웹페이지를 활용하여 전산화 시켜 1주일이라는 작업시간을 단 1일로 줄였으며, 교수들이 직접 웹페이지에 접속하여 연구일을 직접 입력하고, 배정 완료된 강의들의 시간 및 강의실을 확인하기 쉽게 구현되었으며, 추후 타 학교에서도 사용가능 하도록 시스템을 개선할 계획이다.

  • Subjects that require the creation of lecture and tour diary system and on-the-spot investigation in class of educational institutions universities and smart the current era has increased. At this point, it is intended to ensure the convenience of the process of teaching the specified one by one, to create a history of the data. In this paper, we devised a work by introducing a system for authentication of the material and of such as tours and systems on-the-spot investigation in the various modules and position information of Android, to simplify a more convenient reporting and learning environment.

Development of an Authoring Tool to Create Interactive 3D Convergence Contents for Smart Learning (스마트교육을 위한 인터랙티브 3D 융합콘텐츠 저작도구 개발)

  • In the smart education era, it is crucial for the teacher to make lecture materials in the form of 3D convergence contents for themselves. In this study, we developed an interactive authoring tool to create 3D convergence contents for the teacher. The proposed system was implemented based on a commercial 3D engine for practicality. To evaluate the usability of the tool, we conducted a satisfaction survey of a focus group. As a result, we concluded that the proposed authoring tool was useful to create desired contents but rather complicated to use due to the text-based script editor. In the following research we will improve the editor so that it can be used in a more intuitive manner.

  • Operating Systems is a discipline which handles abstract concepts and techniques. However, most of OS courses have been textbook-oriented theoretical classes. Theoretical classes lead to the decline in the understanding of a lecture and hurt their concentration. Many instructors have tried various ways to help students understand lectures and arouse interests. This paper describes the design and implementation of a web-based educational CPU scheduling simulator which enables learners to set up various situations and simulate scheduling processes using a web browser or a smart-phone. After utilizing the implemented simulator for the class, the survey result for 2014's students shows that it is useful as an educational tool which enhances the understanding of a lecture and develops their problem solving skills.

  • Cyber university can easily study the lecture only press the couple of mouse click or keyboard button anywhere and anytime, if you have a computer. Many people believe that virtual university can save time and improve learning. To check How many students learn which selected some of the virtual university courses, instructor must know how to the understanding students and find out their difficult problems. Without checking this condition, it will be a very difficult and boring virtual university course. In this paper, we introduce the intelligent learning system. It has a full duplex direction that teaches understanding students and not understanding students. The computer simulation results confirmed that a full duplex virtual learning system has been proven to be much more efficient than one way direction which unfortunately does not consider to understanding problems.

  • This study aims to theoretically examine the educational and living elements that are needed for social education in the school system and suggest an approach to apply this result to the environmental aspects of the space in schools. To do this, characteristics of space in exemplary middle school oversee were analyzed. Also, the characteristics and status of the school space environment that foster socialization were examined. In order to increase students' social skills, the following community space should be considered. 1) teaching and learning spaces facilitating a variety of teaching methods, such as lecture, discussion, seminar classes, 2) open-spaces for communication among students, such as home base, hall, library, museum, and restaurant, 3) open-spaces for STEM education, 4) transparent windows located in the boundary wall between classrooms and hallways, 5) a large performance stage for presentation of student activities and experiences, 6) smart-learning spaces for fluent ICT system in classes and in public spaces, 7) restaurants and libraries located in the middle space of the school, and 8) ecological environments for student learning.
